(False Rails - Width of 2 Metres from 1400 Metres to the Winning Post.) 1st Race: 7. The Sha Tin Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses 8 Runners rated 00 to 30 , 4 & 5 years old. App. Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of ZACCHILLI, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not making sufficient effort to improve his position during the early stages of the race. Jockey Sunny Chinoy, the rider of MASTER STRATE- GIST, was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming `in' and causing interference to ASPIRING SEVEN (Md. Shafiq) on his inside which in turn went on to ZACCHILLI (S. Selvaraj) on his inside approaching the 1100 Metres. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ZIGGY STARDUST. 2nd Race: 8. The Allaire Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 11 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50. As Jockey T.K. Jackman was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Dominic to substitute Jockey Faisal M Ismail to ride KANDIATE in place of Jockey T.K. Jackman, the declared rider. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the starting declaration in respect of his charge AMAZING FLORA as regards shoeing. App. Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of MEXIKAN WAVE, was severely reprimanded for not exercising sufficient control over his mount whereby it collided with the false rails approaching the 800 Metres and the right stirrup iron broke and he had to ride without the aid of it thereafter. Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of MILL FONTAINE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for changing course towards inside thereby inconveniencing ANGELIQUE (Aaron Spiteri) on his inside passing the 300 Metres. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MILL FONTAINE. 3rd Race: 9.The Mount Everest Trophy-(About) 1100 Metres. 9 Runners Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run atleast thrice but not placed second,third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms). Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of JERSEY POWER, reported that his mount ran out soon after jumping out of the starting gates. Trainer Mr. M. Eshwer was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. Jockey Sunny Chinoy, the rider of SMIPLY DAN- GEROUS, reported that his mount was hanging `out' throughout the race. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian before accepting with it again. Jockey Vivek, the rider of POLAR RUBY, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 150 Metres. SMART N SPECIAL (S. Rajesh) sustained cut injury on left hind fetlock and right gaskin. Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b c JERSEY POWER 4th Race: 10. The Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Cup-Grade III- 10 Runners (About) 1400 Metres. 4 year old and over. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge LIONHEART. Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of LIONHEART, reported that he could not get a clear run during the early stages of the race due to a closely packed field. Passing the 1000 Metres, in a very tightly packed field FRIENDLY FIRE (B.V. Krishnan) accidentally struck the front runner KHALEELS PRIDE (A. Imran Khan) and had to be shifted `in' and in the process tightened LION- HEART (J.H. Christopher) along the rails. JET FIRE (C. Alford) sustained a cut injury on left hock. Muthanna Memorial Plate - (About) 1200 12 Runners Metres, horses rated 40 to 70. 4 and 5 years old. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Dominic to substitute Jockey D. Gnaneshwar to ride BORN FREE in place of Jockey T.K. Jackman the declared rider. Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of ROYAL DAZZLE reported that his mount was hanging `out' throughout the race and he had considerable difficulty in keeping it an even course and riding it out. Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to take remedial measures before accepitng with it again. App Jockey S. John, the rider of AKIRA, was fined Rs.1,000/- for travelling wide in the straight for no apparent reason. Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of PERFECT RHYTHM, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 300 Metres. BLACK SPLENDOUR (Himanshu) pulled up lame after the race on right fore due to trauma on its shoulder. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veteri- nary Officer before accepting with it again. 6th Race: 12. The Usha Stud Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 12 Runners Horses rated 60 to 90, 4 and 5 years old. Jockey N.M. Sequeira the rider of PREMIER THRILL reported that he could not get a clear run soon after the start due to crowding of the field. App. Jockey Md. Shoaib, the rider of INDIA SHINING was reprimanded for not exercising sufficient control over his mount whereby he allowed his mount to go in and hit the false rails approaching the 900 Metres. As a result his right stirrup iron broke and the rider could not offer any assistance to his mount thereafter. App. Jockey V. Sunil Kumar, the rider of LADY ONE, was questioned in the presence of trainer Mr. S. Padma- nabhan as to the handling of his mount. He was informed that the Stipendiary Stewards were not fully satisfied with the handling of his mount as also the explanation tendered by him. However, taking into consideration his very limited race riding experience, a lenient view was being taken at this instance and he was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race. He was further cautioned in the presence of his master trainer that a repetition of similar manner of riding would entail him being report- ed to the Stewards for disciplinary action. MUCHO (S. Selvaraj) burst its blood vessels after the race. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
