(False Rails - Width of 4 Metres from 1400 Metres to the Winning Post.) 1st Race: 36. The Own Opinion Trophy-Div.II - (About) 1100 8 Runners Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms). As Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. G. Sandhu to substitute JockeyS. Chandrashekar to ride SCINTILLATINGSTYLE in place of Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu the declared rider. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Shehzad Abbas to substitute Jockey Neeraj Rawal to ride ADORNA in place of Jockey Ch.K. Chary the declared rider. BOLD BLAST (N.M. Sequeira) bolted on the way to the starting gates dislodging the rider. Under the circumstances it was per- mitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders. SPRINT QUEEN (D. Mahendran) was observed to have sustained an injury on the shoulder due to a fall on the way to the starting gates. Hence it was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming udner Starter's orders. Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was in- formed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of ADORNA, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 350 Metres. Jockey R. Parvesh, the rider of PRETTY N FAST reported that his mount was hanging `in' during the race. Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian before accept- ing with it again. PRETTY N FAST (R. Parvesh) sustained a cut injury on both hind coronet. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from thewinner b g CONSTANT WONDER. 2nd Race 37. The Baraloy Plate-(About) 1400 Metres. For 10 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Ananta Vatsalya to substi- tute Jockey M. Mark to ride GOLDEN TRICKS in place of Jockey Ch.K. Chary the declared rider. SAMRAT ASHOK (C. Krishnan) stumbled while jumping out of the starting gates. MILL FONTAINE (B. Prakash) sustained cut injuries on both knees and left fore cannon on either side. RAPIDO GONZALES (B.L. Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of BEST IN AROUND, was fined Rs.1,000/- for allowing his mount to shift out in the last 200 Metres. BRAVE ARJUN (S. Rajesh) sustained a cut injury on its right stifle. 4th Race: 39. The Sir M. Visvesvaraya Memorial Cup-Div.I- 8 Runners for Horses rated 40 to 70, 4 and 5 years old. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. G. Sandhu to substitute Jockey Shobhan Babu to ride PRINCE OF BYERLY in place of Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu the declared rider. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was questioned as to the poor perfor- mance of his charge SOUTHERNER. He was cautioned that he should maintain consistency in the pattern of running of his charges. He was further informed that he should not accept this horse again until passed by the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 5th Race: 40.The Karnataka Cup-(Grade III)(About) 1600 Metres 9 Runners For 4 & 5 years old and over (Terms). Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge STAR LUMI- NARY. Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge PARTHENON. STAR LUMINARY (Imran Chisty) pulled up lame after the race on right fore due to sprained fetlock joint. Trainer Mr. S. Gana- pathy was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey Mark Zahra, the rider of HOLDING COURT, was questioned regarding the handling of his mount in the presence of trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan. He was cautioned to be more judicious in the handling of his mount in future.
