        1st Race:    52. The Prabalo Plate-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses
         8 Runners    rated 20 to 50. 
        
                       ADAIR  (Tauseef Ahmed) jumped out  awkwardly  from 
                  the  gates  and  inconvenienced  HARI  HAR  PRIYA  (Sk. 
                  Sharookh) on its outside at the start.
        
                       Jockey  B. Prakash, the rider of STAR SUMMIT,  was 
                  fined Rs.2,000/- for coming `in' and causing  interfer-
                  ence  to CIMARRON (Aaron Spiteri) on his inside  during 
                  the final stages of the race. 
        
                       POLAR  RUBY (Vivek) burst its blood vessels  after 
                  the race.  Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed that 
                  he  must produce a Fitness Certificate from the  Club's 
                  Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b g STAR SUMMIT. 
        
        2nd Race     53. The Everynsky Trophy-(About) 1200 Metres. Maiden
         8 Runners    Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have  run  at least thrice but not  placed  second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
                       Jockey  Ch.K.  Chary,  the rider  of  TEN  DOWNING 
                  STREET, was reprimanded for changing course during  the 
                  last 200 Metres of the race. 
        
                       An enquiry was held by the Stewards after the last 
                  race  pertaining  to the poor  performance  of  COUNTER 
                  PUNCH  as  also the incident pertaining  to  Jockey  C. 
                  Alford  easing  his mount in the last 200  Metres.  The 
                  Stewards  examined  trainer Mr. Darius  R  Byramji  and 
                  Jockey  C Alford. After deliberations, they decided  to 
                  (a)  note  the  explanations tendered  by  Trainer  Mr. 
                  Darius Byramji and the trainer was further informed not 
                  to  accept with the above horse again until  passed  by 
                  the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day 
                  on  the  race track; and (b) directed  the  Stipendiary 
                  Stewards  to fine Jockey C. Alford Rs.5,000/- for  com-
                  pletely  easing  his mount passing the 200  Metres  and 
                  pulling it up before passing the winning post. 
        
                       Surprise  Sample was taken for analysis from b   c 
                  COUNTER PUNCH. 
        
        3rd Race:     54. The Ankara Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. Horses
        10 Runners    rated 00 to 30.
        
                       Jockey N.M. Sequeira, the rider of MAJORITY  WINS, 
                  was  severely  reprimanded for coming `in'  soon  after 
                  jumping out of the starting gates.
        
                       Jockey  V.  Patel, the rider of FAIRY  FLAME,  was 
                  fined  Rs.1,000/- for not making sufficient  effort  to 
                  improve  his  position during the early stages  of  the 
                  race. 
        
        4th Race:    55. The Flirting Vision Plate-Div.I - (About) 1400
         9 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50, 4 and 5 years old.
        
                       Jockey  K.  Narender Kumar, the rider  of  EUSTON, 
                  reported  that his saddle slipped back passing the  400 
                  Metres  and that he could not offer  sufficient  assis-
                  tance to his mount thereafter. After examination of the 
                  equipment, trainer Mr. S. Dominic was fined  Rs.2,000/- 
                  for faulty saddling. 
        
                       Jockey  K.P.G.  Appu, the rider of GUN  FIRE,  was 
                  fined  Rs.1,000/- for shifting `in' and causing  inter-
                  ference  to WILE WENCH (Suraj Narredu) on   his  inside 
                  passing the 1000 Metres. 
        
        5th Race:    56. The Chief Minister's Cup (Grade III) - (About)
         9 Runners    1200 Metres. 4 years old and over (Terms).  
        
                       Trainer  Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was fined Rs.500/-  for 
                  making an error in the declaration of weight in respect 
                  of his charge HESPERUS.
        
                       Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was fined Rs.500/-  for 
                  making an error in the declaration of weight in respect 
                  of his charge ALL DANCING.
        
                       SHYBOY  (Suraj Narredu) could not get a clear  run 
                  approaching  the  900 Metres due to  a  closely  packed 
                  field. 
        
                       Jockey  P.S. Chouhan, the rider of  JERSEY  PRIDE, 
                  reported  that his saddle shifted back passing the  600 
                  Metres.   After examination of the  equipment,  trainer 
                  Mr. M. Eshwer was fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling. 
        
                       Compulsory  Samples were taken for  analysis  from 
                  the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

        6th Race:    57. The Yeravada Stud Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
          8 Runners   Horses rated 60 to 90.
        
                       ASIATIQUE  (Aaron Spiteri) sustained a cut  injury 
                  on right hind inner bulb of the heel.
        
                       PRECEDE (M. Rajendra Singh) ran detached from  the 
                  field.  On examination of the horse after the race,  it 
                  was  observed  to  have pulled up lame  on  left  fore.  
                  Trainer  Mr.  S. Ganapathy  was informed that  he  must 
                  produce  a Fitness Certificate from the Club's  Veteri-
                  nary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b g IMPERIAL VIEW. 
            
        
        7th Race:    58. The Rajah S.R.K.Ranga Row Memorial Cup-(About)
        10 Runners    1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70. 
        
                       As Jockey M. Narredu was certified medically unfit 
                  to  ride, permission was granted to trainer  Mr.  Irfan 
                  Ghatala  to  substitute Jockey Aaron  Spiteri  to  ride 
                  SOBERANO  in  place of Jockey M. Narredu  the  declared 
                  rider. 
        
                       Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of CONFIDENT  VICTORY 
                  was fined Rs.3,000/- for coming `in' and causing severe 
                  interference to SOBERANO (Aaron Spiteri) on his  inside 
                  passing the 300 Metres.
        
        8th Race:     59. The Flirting Vision Plate-Div.II - (About) 1400
         9 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50, 4 and 5 years old.
        
                       Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. S.  Narredu 
                  to  substitute  Jockey Suraj Narredu to  ride  SPLENDID 
                  GLORY in place of Jockey M. Narredu the declared rider. 
        
                       LITTLE ROBIN (M.F. Ali Khan) planted in the start-
                  ing gates and did not complete the course.  In view  of 
                  its behaviour trainer Mr. S.K. Habib Khan was  informed 
                  that  he  must not accept with it again until  its  be-
                  haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary 
                  Stewards  in  one Mock Race on a race day on  the  race 
                  track. 
        
                       Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of ZIGGY  STAR-
                  DUST  was fined Rs.3,000/- for coming `in' and  causing 
                  very  severe interference to ROCAMORA (A.  Imran  Khan) 
                  and  HIMA'S  PRIDE (P.S. Chouhan) on  his  inside  soon 
                  after jumping out of the starting gates. 
        
                       An enquiry was held by the Stewards after the last 
                  race  pertaining  to the running and riding  of  HAKUNA 
                  MATATA,  trained  by Hidayat Khan and ridden  by  Imran 
                  Chisty. The Stewards examined trainer Mr. Hidayat  Khan 
                  and  Jockey  Imran Chisty.  After  deliberations,  they 
                  decided to (a) note the explanations tendered by Train-
                  er  Mr.  Hidayat Khan and (b) severely  caution  Jockey 
                  Imran Chisty as to his future riding in races.

                       35TH DAY, SATURDAY, 31ST MARCH 2007 
        
        267.  The Champion Jockey Trophy-Div.I-(About) 1200  Metres.  For 
        horses rated 20 to 50.
        
             The Board of Appeal at its Meeting held on Friday, 1st  June 
        2007, considered appeal dated 4th April 2007 filed by trainer Mr. 
        Irfan Ghatala against the decision of the Stewards of the Club in 
        fining  him Rs.20,000/- for the inconsistent pattern  of  running  
        and  the  improved performance of his charge  SOUTHERNER  in  the 
        above race as compared to its previous run in Race No.237 of  the 
        Bangalore Winter Meeting 2006-07 when ridden by Jockey S. Selvar-
        aj it ran unplaced. 
        
             They interviewed trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala. After  delibera-
        tions  they  decided  to (a) reduce the fine  of  Rs.20,000/-  to 
        Rs.10,000/-; and (b) the deposit of Rs.2,500/- made by Mr.  Irfan 
        Ghatala towards the appeal be forfeited.  
        
                                                   
                           MYSORE WINTER RACES 2006-07
                     13TH DAY, WEDNESDAY, 14TH FEBRUARY 2007
        
        Race No.111. The Ajantha Plate-Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres.  Horses 
        rated 20 to 50. 7, 8 & 9 years old. 
        
             The  Board of Appeal at its Meeting held on 1st  June  2007, 
        considered the appeal dated 7th May 2007,  filed by Jockey  Vijay 
        Kumar  against the decision of the Stewards of the Club in  with-
        drawing his licence from 16-5-2007 to 31-3-2008 (both days inclu-
        sive) for not permitting his mount CARRIE to run on its merits in 
        the above race. 
        
             The  Board   interviewed  Jockey  Vijay  Kumar  and  Mr.  S. 
        Marshall,  Spokesman for Jockey Vijay Kumar and trainer  Mr.  Md. 
        Sajid Qureshi.  After deliberations, the Board of Appeal  decided 
        as follows:
        
        (a) to reduce the disqualification imposed on Jockey Vijay  Kumar 
        in  that  his Jockey's Licence shall stand withdrawn  up  to  and 
        including 3-8-2007; and 
        
        (b)  that the deposit amount of Rs.2,500/- paid by  Jockey  Vijay 
        Kumar towards the Appeal be forfeited.  
        
                          BANGALORE SUMMER MEETING 2007
                        3RD DAY, SATURDAY, 19TH MAY 2007 
        
        Race No.15. The Lady Gibraltar Plate-Div.II-(About) 1400  Metres. 
        For horses rated 20 to 50.
        
        The Board of Appeal at its Meeting held on Friday, 1st June 2007, 
        considered the appeal dated 21st May 2007 filed by Jockey  Ashwin 
        Rao against the decision of the Stewards of the Club in withdraw-
        ing  the Jockey's Licence granted to him with effect  from  29-5-
        2007  to 31-3-2008 (both days inclusive) for not  permitting  his 
        mount  RUBY  ROCKET to run on its merits in the above  race.  The 
        Board interviewed Jockey Ashwin Rao and trainer Mr. S.  Padmanab-
        han.  After deliberations, the Board decided:
        
        (a)  to modify the Order of the Stewards of the Club in that  his 
        Jockey's  Licence shall remain suspended from 30-5-2007 to  21-6-
        2007 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding on his mount 
        RUBY ROCKET  in the above race (permitted to ride work); and 
        
        (b)  that the deposit amount of Rs.2,500/- paid by Jockey  Ashwin 
        Rao towards the Appeal be forfeited.
