        1st Race:     60. The Red Divine Plate  - Div. II  - (About) 1100
         9 Runners    Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only
                      (Horses  who  have  run at least   thrice  but  not
                      placed  second, third or fourth even once  ineligi-
                      ble) (Terms).
        
                       NIL
        
        2nd Race:     61. The ICH DIEN Plate- Div.II-(About) 1400 Metres.
         9 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       As Jockey A. Ramana was certified medically  unfit 
                  to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr.  Mahmood 
                  Khan  to substitute Jockey Sk. Sharookh to  ride  AUTO-
                  GRAPH in place of Jockey A. Ramana, the declared rider. 
                  Jockey  A  Ramana was further advised  that  he  should 
                  produce  a Fitness Certificate from the Club's  Medical 
                  Officer before resuming track work/ride in a race .
        
                       AUTOGRAPH  (Sk. Sharookh) reared up as  the  gates 
                  opened, planted and refused to raise a gallop.  In view 
                  of its behaviour trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was  informed 
                  that  he  must not accept with it again until  its  be-
                  haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary 
                  Stewards  in  One Mock Race on a race day on  the  race 
                  track. 
        
        3rd Race:    62. The Melbourne Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. 
        10 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 30, 4 and 5 years old.
        
                       ROYAL  FLYNN (P.S. Chouhan) ducked  while  jumping 
                  out of the starting gates thereby momentarily unbalanc-
                  ing the rider. 
        
                       OLYMPIC WONDER (Himanshu) drifted out under  pres-
                  sure in the last 200 Metres. 
        
                       Jockey  Neeraj Rawal, the rider of  ILLUSIVE  GIRL 
                  reported  that his mount was hanging `in' from the  400 
                  Metres. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed to get it 
                  checked  by his Veterinarian before accepting  with  it 
                  again. 
        
                       TOTAL  IMPACT  (A. Velu) pulled up lame  on  right 
                  fore after the race and also sustained cut injuries  on 
                  right  fore tendon.  Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan  was  in-
                  formed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate  from 
                  the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with  it 
                  again. 
    
                       Jockey  J.H.  Christopher, the  rider  of  SPECIAL 
                  EVENT,  was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive  use  of 
                  the  whip on his mount during the race  (1st  infringe-
                  ment).
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f SUPER ROYALTY.
        
        4th Race:     63. The ICH DIEN Plate- Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres.
         9 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       LIVE IT UP (Gaurav Sapra) planted and lost consid-
                  erable  ground at the start. In view of  its  behaviour 
                  trainer  Mr.  G. Sandhu was informed that he  must  not 
                  accept  with it again until its behaviour  improved  to 
                  the  satisfaction  of the Stipendiary Stewards  in  One 
                  Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
                       Trainer  Mr. G. Karthik was  questioned  regarding 
                  the  poor  performance of his charge  OUR  CHARMER  (M. 
                  Rajendra  Singh)  and he was advised to  ensure  better 
                  performance in future.   
                       
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b g GLOBAL PRESENCE.  
        
        5th Race:     64. The Civil Service Cup - (About) 1400 Metres.
        11 Runners    Horses rated 80 and above.
        
                       Trainer  Mr. F. Sirajuddin was fined Rs.500/-  for 
                  making an error in the starting declaration in  respect 
                  of his charge TALK OF THE DEVIL as regards shoeing. 
        
                       COCO  CHANEL (S. John) was fractious at the  gates 
                  and injured on both knees, right hind fetlock and  left 
                  fore fetlock.  Under the circumstances it was withdrawn 
                  on  veterinary  grounds before coming  under  Starter's 
                  orders. Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was informed that  he 
                  must  produce  a Fitness Certificate  from  the  Club's 
                  Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
        
                       OXFORDSHIRE  (K.P.G. Appu) sustained a cut  injury 
                  on left hind inner bulb of heel.  
        
                       Trainer  Mr.  S. Ganapathy and Jockey  B.  Prakash 
                  were  questioned  regarding the running and  riding  of 
                  RUBEN STAR.  The trainer stated that he has  instructed 
                  the rider to keep his charge in 4th or 5th position  in 
                  the early part of the race and ride out and do his best 
                  in  the straight.  Soon after the race the  rider  told 
                  him  that the horse was bit fractious in the gates  and 
                  did  not have the initial speed and that  he  gradually 
                  improved his position and rode out in the straight.  He 
                  added that under the circumstances he was satisfied  by 
                  the  riding of Jockey Prakash. When  questioned  Jockey 
                  Prakash corroborated the above statement. While  noting 
                  the  explanation  of the trainer,  Jockey  Prakash  was 
                  cautioned  to be more judicious in the handling of  his 
                  mount in future.  
        
        6th Race:     65. The Red Divine Plate  - Div. I  - (About) 1100
         9 Runners    Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only 
                      (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed
                      second,  third  or  fourth  even  once  ineligible)
                      (Terms).
        
                       In a tightly packed field FIGHTING STAR (C.Alford) 
                  which  was racing fiercely behind had to be checked  by 
                  its  rider  and shifted `out'  thereby  inconveniencing 
                  EVER SO CLEVER (T.K.Jackman) on its outside approaching 
                  the 900 Metres. 
        
                       REFRESH  (Y.S. Srinath) sustained a cut injury  on 
                  left knee.
        
                       EVER  SO  CLEVER (T.K. Jackman)  sustained  a  cut 
                  injury on right fore.
        
        7th Race      66. The Justice P.Medapa Memorial Cup-(About) 1200
        11 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70.
        
                       STAR DISTINCTION (Shakti Singh) ran detached  from 
                  the  field.   Trainer Mr. Karan Singh  was  advised  to 
                  ensure that his charge was capable of running with  the 
                  field in future. 
        
                       Jockey  A. Imran Khan, the rider of  RIVER  BLUSH, 
                  was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming `in' sharply soon after 
                  jumping out of the starting gates.
        
                       SUGAR BROWN (S. Selvaraj) brushed the false  rails 
                  approaching  the 900 Metres whereby the  right  stirrup 
                  snapped and the he could not offer sufficient effort on 
                  his mount thereafter. 
        
                       On  being  questioned as to the  handling  of  his 
                  mount WOMAN ON TOP, Jockey Y.S. Srinath stated that his 
                  mount  missed the kick and immediately made a  move  to 
                  catch up with the field and passing the 1000 Metres  as 
                  there were horses in front he did not make his move  on 
                  the outside to avoid travelling wide but gradually  im-
                  proved  his position and rode out in the straight.  His 
                  explanations were noted. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner ch g PASTICHE.
        
        8th Race:     67. The Fantabulous King Plate - (About) 1600 
        11 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70, 4 and 5 years old.
        
                       Trainer  Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was  fined  Rs.10,000/- 
                  for failing to declare his charge CASCABEL to start for 
                  this race after having accepting with it.
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Samar  Singh 
                  to substitute Jockey Sk. Sharookh to ride APOLLO  CROWN 
                  in place of Jockey A. Ramana the declared rider. 
   
                       COMPTON  STAR  (M. Mark) reared up  as  the  gates 
                  opened  dislodged the rider and ran riderless. In  view 
                  of  its  behaviour trainer Mr. Darius Byramji  was  in-
                  formed that he must not accept with it again until  its 
                  behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendi-
                  ary Stewards in One Mock Race on a race day on the race 
                  track.
