        1st Race:     146. The Belmont Park Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
         8 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 30, 4 and 5 years old.
        
                       Jockey  P. Mani, the rider of A GIRL IN BLUE,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight  course 
                  in the final 400 Metres of the race. 
        
                       Jockey  Ashwin Rao, the rider of GATI  POWER,  re-
                  ported  that  his mount was running  green  during  the 
                  race.  
        
        2nd Race:     147. The Treasure Girl Plate-(About) 1400 Metres.
         8 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only. Horses who 
                      (have run at least thrice but not placed second, 
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f READ MY MIND. 
        
        3rd Race:     148. The Paddiwick Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. 
        12 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who 
                      (have run at least thrice but not placed second, 
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
                       ROYAL  GAME (T. Vijayan) was reluctant to raise  a 
                  fluent gallop after the start and ran detached from the 
                  field.  In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Amit Caddy 
                  was  informed  that he must not accept  with  it  again 
                  until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the 
                  Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day  on 
                  the race track.  
        
                       Jockey  Imran Chisty, the rider of GENERAL  RIDGE, 
                  was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming `in' sharply and  caus-
                  ing  interference to SHE'S A DIAMOND (C.  Krishnan)  on 
                  his inside approaching the 900 Metres.  
        
                       Jockey C. Krishnan, the rider of SHE'S A  DIAMOND, 
                  reported that his right stirrup came out after  jumping 
                  out which he regained approaching 1000 Metres.  
        
        4th Race:     149. The D.M.Shivaswamy Memorial Cup-Div.I-(About)
        11 Runners   1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70, 4 and 5 years
                      old.
        
                       Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of PANCHAKSHARI, 
                  was  fined  Rs.2,000/- for coming `in'  and  tightening 
                  MISTER  ELEGANT (Imran Chisty) which went on  to  SATIN 
                  WOOD (K.P.G. Appu) along the rails approaching the  700 
                  Metres. 
        
                       SECRET WISH (Neeraj Rawal) sustained a cut  injury 
                  on right fore cannon. 
        
                       Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of SATIN WOOD placed 
                  V  by the Judge objected against Jockey  Imran  Chisty, 
                  the rider of MISTER ELEGANT placed I  for "after  pass-
                  ing  the  700 Metres he came `in'  sharply  whereby  my 
                  horse totally got unbalanced whereby I had to check the 
                  horse and was on the verge of going down which cost  me 
                  a  certain race."  The Stewards held an  enquiry  imme-
                  diately  after  the race and  interviewed  the  Jockeys 
                  concerned.  After deliberations, they decided to  over-
                  rule the objection. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b g MISTER ELEGANT.  
        
        5th Race:    150. The Stewards Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses
        11 Runners    rated 80 and above.
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. J.S.  Dhari-
                  wal to withdraw COCO CHANEL (S. Shiva Kumar) on veteri-
                  nary  grounds  as  it was  lame on right  fore  due  to 
                  traumatic  injury on fetlock. He was informed  that  he 
                  must  produce  a Fitness Certificate  from  the  Club's 
                  Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.   
        
                       Jockey Mark Zahra, the rider of LADY ONE, reported 
                  that  his  mount was inclined to run  out  between  900 
                  Metres and 700 Metres.  Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan  was 
                  informed to take appropriate corrective measures before 
                  accepting with it again. 
        
                       TRIBAL  FANTASY  (A.Ashok Kumar) sustained  a  cut 
                  injury on right hind tendon. 
        
        6th Race:     151. The Classical Act Plate-(About) 1400 Metres.
         9 Runners    Horses rated 40 to 70.
        
                       MASQUENADA  (S.  John) jumped  awkwardly  outwards 
                  from  the starting gates and bumped PASSION TO  PERFORM 
                  (Mark Zahra) on its outside.
        
                       OLIVIA  VALERE (Vincent Colgan)  jumped  awkwardly 
                  inwards and inconvenienced PIED HARRIER (M. Narredu) on 
                  its inside soon after jumping out the starting gates. 
        
                       GENEROUS LAD (K. Raja Rao) stood flatfooted at the 
                  gates  and lost some ground. In view of  its  behaviour 
                  trainer  Mr. Karan Singh was informed that he must  not 
                  accept  with it again until its behaviour  improved  to 
                  the  satisfaction  of the Stipendiary Stewards  in  one 
                  jump out on a starting gate practice day. 
        
        7th Race:     152. The Royal Challenge Plate-(About) 1600 Metres.
        11 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       SONTAG ETOILE (Vincent Colgan) drifted `out' under 
                  pressure and bumped AGASSIZ (M. Reuben) approaching the 
                  150 Metres.
        
                       AGASSIZ  (M. Reuben) drifted `in'  under  pressure 
                  and  bumped SONTAG ETOILE (Vincent Colgan)  approaching 
                  the 150 Metres. 
        
        8th Race:     153.The D.M.Shivaswamy Memorial Cup-Div.II-(About)
        11 Runners   1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70, 4 and 5 years
                      old.
        
                       At  the  behest of the Stipendiary  Stewards,  the 
                  Stewards  held an enquiry into the running of the  race 
                  with  particular  reference to ARTIC  BLAST  (A.  Imran 
                  Khan)  drifting out violently from 300  Metres  whereby 
                  ONEGINA (C. Alford) moving behind, clipped the heels of 
                  ARTIC BLAST, stumbled dislodging its rider and  WINSONS 
                  (Aadesh Kumar) running directly behind ONEGINA had  run 
                  over  the  prostrated horse,  stumbled  dislodging  its 
                  rider.  The Stewards interviewed Jockey A. Imran  Khan. 
                  After  deliberations, they decided to disqualify  ARTIC 
                  BLAST  (A. Imran Khan) placed I by the Judge  from  the 
                  above race and revised the order of placings as under:

                       The Stewards further informed them to enquire into 
                  the  erratic behaviour of the horse ARTIC BLAST in  the 
                  above race. After repeatedly viewing the CCTV replay of 
                  the  race  they directed the  Stipendiary  Stewards  to 
                  inform  Trainer  Mr. S.K. Habib Khan to get  the  horse 
                  checked  by the Veterinarian and take appropriate  cor-
                  rective measures and not to accept with the horse again 
                  until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the 
                  Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day  on 
                  the race track. 
        
                       The Chief Veterinary Officer reported that ONEGINA 
                  (C.Alford)   pulled  up lame on right fore as  it  sus-
                  tained fracture of right humerous. Hence  it was eutha-
                  nised. 
        
                       WINSONS  (Aadesh  Kumar) sustained trauma  to  its 
                  back  with resultant paralysis of both hind.  Hence  it 
                  was euthanised.  
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner ch g SNOB VALUE.
