1st Race: 154.The Esquire Trophy-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres.a
10 Runners Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
have run at least thrice but not placed second,
third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
As Jockey C. Alford was certified medically unfit
to ride after his fall in the last race on 14th July
2007, permission was granted to trainer Mr. R.R. Byram-
ji to substitute Jockey D. Gnaneshwar to ride APERTINI,
in place of Jockey C. Alford the declared rider.
AFEA (A. Imran Khan) was inclined to run out
between the 900 Metres and 600 Metres. Trainer Mr.
Darius Byramji was informed to take appropriate correc-
tive measures before accepting with it again.
2nd Race: 155. The Astronomic Plate-Div.II- (About) 1400
10 Runners Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50, 4 and 5 years old.
Jockey Jagdish Shukla, the rider of PRINCESS
EMILY, was fined Rs.3,000/- for coming `in' sharply and
causing severe interference to MEXIKAN WAVE (Vivek) and
HIGH TOWER (S. John) approaching the 1200 Metres.
HIGH TOWER (S. John) sustained cut injury on left
hind cannon.
SARAZEN (S. Selvaraj) pulled up lame during the
race on left hind. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was in-
formed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from
the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it
again.
3rd Race: 156.The Esquire Trophy-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres.a
9 Runners Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji
to substitute Jockey M. Narredu to ride CONQUERING
LOVE, in place of Jockey C. Alford the declared rider.
As Jockey Aadesh Kumar was certified medically
unfit to ride after his fall in the last race on 14th
July 2007, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Faraz
Arshad to substitute Jockey Vivek to ride REPLENISH, in
place of Jockey Aadesh Kumar the declared rider.
Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of JERSEY POWER,
reported that he could not get a clear run till about
1000 Metres due to the crowding of the field.
Jockey Vincent Colgan, the rider of ANDRONICUS,
was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip
on his mount during the race (2nd infringement).
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey A. Imran
Khan, the rider of ENFORCER to the Stewards for the
excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race
(3rd infringement). The Stewards held an enquiry
immediately after the race and interviewed Jockey A.
Imran Khan. After deliberation, they decided to sus-
pend Jockey A. Imran Khan from riding in races from 23-
8-2007 to 24-8-2007 (both days inclusive) for the
excessive use of the whip on his mount ENFORCER in the
above race.
4th Race: 157. The Happy Valley Plate - (About) 1600 Metres.
11 Runners Horses rated 00 to 30.
OUNCE OF LUCK (A.R. Mani) drawn 1 shifted out
violently and bumped JERSEY SPLENDOUR (S. Mallikarjun)
which in turn caused severe interference to CINDERELLA
MAN (S. John) which stumbled thereby unbalancing the
rider. The said horse again shifted out violently
approaching the 1000 Metres. In view of the erratic
behaviour of the horse trainer Mr. S. Dominic was
informed to take appropriate remedial measures and not
to accept with this horse again until its behaviour
improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Ste-
wards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Jockey Shiva Kumar the rider of RECORD TIME was
fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and causing interfer-
ence to STRONG MINDED (S.S. Baria) on his outside
approaching the 1000 Metres which in turn passed it on
to COMMANDER'S WISH (B. Prakash) on the far side and
further STRONG MINDED (S.S. Baria) clipped the heels of
the front runner SIMPLY DANGEROUS (K.P.G. Appu) and
stumbled.
Jockey S.S. Baria, the rider of STRONG MINDED was
fined Rs.5,000/- for not exercising sufficient control
over his mount in that soon after the start he came in
sharply before passing the red marker post and again
passing the 1100 Metres for coming in and tightening
COMMANER'S WISH (B.Prakash) on his inside and for
repeatedly checking his mount thereby upsetting the
rhythm of his mount and inconveniencing the other
runners behind till approaching the 1000 Metres.
RECORD TIME (S. Shiva Kumar) sustained a cut
injury on right fore cannon.
Jockey S.S. Baria, the rider of STRONG MINDED
placed III by the Judge objected against Jockey K.P.G.
Appu, the rider of SIMPLY DANGEROUS placed II for "at
the 1000 Metres he cut across me sharply which cost me
the race". The Stewards held an enquiry immediately
after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned.
After deliberations, they decided to overrule the
objection.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner dkb c MAC.
5th Race: 158. The Astronomic Plate-Div.I - (About) 1400
10 Runners Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50, 4 and 5 years old.
FOOTSTEPSINTHESKY (Shobhan Babu) sustained a cut
injury on left hind gaskin.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner br m KANDIATE.
6th Race: 159. The Bangalore St.Leger (Grade II)-(About) 2800
6 Runners Metres. 4-year-old Indian Horses (Foaled in 2003)
(Terms).
Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from
the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

7th Race: 160. The Chettinad Stud Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
12 Runners Horses rated 60 to 90.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Subhag Singh
to substitute Jockey K.P.G. Appu to ride THREE OF ARTS,
in place of Jockey C. Alford the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Padmanab-
han to substitute Jockey Ranjeet Singh to ride UPPER
CRUST, in place of Jockey Aadesh Kumar the declared
rider.
As Jockey Shobhan Babu was certified medically
unfit after his ride in the 5th race, permission was
granted to trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla to substitute
Jockey S. Chandrashekar to ride TINA'S TRIUMPH, in
place of Jockey Shobhan Babu the declared rider.
Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for
making an error in the starting declaration in respect
of his charge FEELFREE as regards shoeing.
Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of DIOMEDES,
reported that his mount was hanging `in' from the 700
Metres. Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to get it
checked by his Veterinarian before accepting with it
again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner b f UPPER CRUST.
8th Race: 161. The V.G.Saravanam Memorial Cup - (About) 1600
11 Runners Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70.
As Jockey Neeraj Rawal was certified medically
unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr.
J.S. Dhariwal to substitute Jockey Ramdeep Bal to
ANGELIQUE, in place of Jockey Neeraj Rawal the declared
rider.
DAZZLING SKILL (Imran Chisty) refused to raise a
fluent gallop. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr.
S.Ganapathy was informed that he must not accept with
it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfac-
tion of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a
race day on the race track.
ROYAL ALCHEMIST (Mark Zahra) could not get a clear
run due to the crowding of the field approaching the
900 Metres.
9th Race: 142. The Parsiana Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
11 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Darius
Byramji to substitute Jockey M. Narredu to ride RENAS-
CENT, in place of Jockey C. Alford the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. D. Netto to
substitute Jockey Ranjeet Singh to ride SPEEDY BOY, in
place of Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the declared rider.
CHAR CHAND (S. Chandrashekar) was fractious inside
the gates and refused to be stalled. Hence it was
withdrawn before coming under Starter's Orders.
BIG TIME BOOPI (K. Narasimha) planted and lost
considerable ground at the start and did not raise a
fluent gallop thereafter. In view of its behaviour
trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that he must
accept with it again until its behaviour improved to
the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one
Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Jockey Ranjeet Singh, the rider of SPEEDY BOY, was
fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting and taking out RENASCENT
(M. Narredu) on his outside while negotiating the final
bend.
