        (It rained heavily after the 2nd race)
        
        1st Race:     177. The Ministrella Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 
         8 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Samar  Singh 
                  to withdraw FLYING JET on veterinary grounds as it  was 
                  lame  on left hind fetlock due to inflammation. He  was 
                  informed  that  he must produce a  Fitness  Certificate 
                  from  the  Club's Veterinary Officer  before  accepting 
                  with it again. 
        
                       SPANISH  CROWN  (P. Ramesh) jumped  out  awkwardly 
                  outwards from the starting gates. 
        
                       Jockey A. Velu, the rider of TRAVALGAR SQUARE, was 
                  fined  Rs.2,000/- for coming `in' sharply  and  causing 
                  interference  to WHISPER VALLEY (Imran Chisty)  on  his 
                  inside  which  had to be checked by its  rider  thereby 
                  losing some ground approaching the 900 Metres. 
        
                       Jockey  Shobhan Babu, the rider of  STRONG  MINDED 
                  was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming `in' and causing severe 
                  interference  to  BLISS  (M. Reuben) which  had  to  be 
                  checked  by  its rider thereby losing some  ground  ap-
                  proaching the final 100 Metres.
        
                       POLAR RUBY (Vivek) was reported to have burst  its 
                  blood  vessels  after  the race.  Trainer  Mr.  S.  In-
                  ayathulla  was informed that he must produce a  Fitness 
                  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
                  accepting with it again. 
        
                       WHISPER  VALLEY  (Imran Chisty)  sustained  a  cut 
                  injury on right fore fetlock. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b g STRONG MINDED. 
        
        2nd Race:    178. The Chaitanya Chakram Trophy - (About) 1200 
         8 Runners    Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only.
                      (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed
                      second,  third  or  fourth  even  once  ineligible)
                      (Terms).
        
                       KING OF GOOD TIMES (D. Mahendran) jumped awkwardly 
                  outwards from the starting gates and bumped BOLD  REPLY 
                  (Shobhan  Babu)  on its outside which passed it  on  to 
                  ENFORCER (Vivek).
        
                       MYSTIC STAR (J.H. Christopher) fly jumped from the 
                  starting gates. 

                       Jockey  D.  Mahendran, the rider of KING  OF  GOOD 
                  TIMES,  was  fined Rs.2,000/-  for  repeatedly  causing 
                  interference  to  ENFORCER (Vivek) on his  outside  ap-
                  proaching the 1100 Metres and again at 900 Metres. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner dkb g CONQUERING LOVE. 
        
        3rd Race:     179. The Royal Randwick Plate-(About) 1100 Metres.
        10 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 30.
        
                       Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. Amit  Caddy 
                  to  withdraw  ASPIRING  SEVEN  (Vivek)  on   veterinary 
                  grounds  as it was lame on left fore due  to  inflammed 
                  cannon.  He was informed that he must produce a Fitness 
                  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
                  accepting with it again. 
        
                       As  Jockey Himanshu was certified medically  unfit 
                  to  ride, permission was granted to trainer  Mr.  Samar 
                  Singh to substitute Jockey Gaurav Sapra to ride COMMAND 
                  PERFORMANCE  in place of Jockey Himanshu  the  declared 
                  rider.

        AS IT STARTED RAINING AFTER THE 2ND RACE AND ALSO CONTINUED AFTER 
        THE 3RD RACE, THE STEWARDS BASED ON THE INSPECTION REPORT OF  THE  
        TRACK, DECIDED TO CANCEL THE REMAINDER OF THE RACES SCHEDULED FOR 
        THE DAY ON ACCOUNT OF UNSUITABLE TRACK CONDITION FOR RACING.
