Velu, the rider of TRAVALGAR SQUARE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming `in' sharply and causing interference to WHISPER VALLEY (Imran Chisty) on his inside which had to be checked by its rider thereby losing some ground approaching the 900 Metres. Jockey Shobhan Babu, the rider of STRONG MINDED was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming `in' and causing severe interference to BLISS (M. Reuben) which had to be checked by its rider thereby losing some ground ap- proaching the final 100 Metres. POLAR RUBY (Vivek) was reported to have burst its blood vessels after the race.
