        1st Race:     185. The Manitou Cup-Div.II-(About) 1100 Metres.
         9 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have  run  at least thrice but not  placed  second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
                       Jockey  K. Narasimha, the rider of  GOLDEN  GLEAM, 
                  reported that he could not get a clear run  approaching 
                  the 800 Metres due to the crowding of the field.
        
                       ALLEGRO  (Ryan Marshall) stumbled approaching  the 
                  200 Metres.
        
                       An  enquiry  is being held into  the  running  and 
                  riding  of STANZA STARRY trained by Mr. M.  Eshwer  and 
                  ridden by Jockey M. Reuben. 
        
                       An  enquiry  is being held into  the  running  and 
                  riding of ARABIAN MEMORIES trained by Mr. B. Prithviraj 
                  and ridden by Jockey T.S. Jodha. 
        
        2nd Race:     186. The Udhagamandalam Plate-(About) 2000 Metres.
         6 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 30. 
        
                       Jockey  Ramandeep  S.  Bal, the  rider  of  GLOBAL 
                  TYCOON,  reported that his mount was hanging `in'  from 
                  the 400 Metres and that he had considerable  difficulty 
                  in keeping his mount on an even course.  Trainer Mr. S. 
                  Britto was informed to get it checked by his Veterinar-
                  ian before accepting with it again. 
        
                       NEW PASTURES (K.P.G. Appu) sustained a cut  injury 
                  on left hind tendon. 
        
                       SAMRAT ASHOK (C. Krishnan) sustained a cut  injury 
                  on left hind.
        
        3rd Race:     187. The Doaba Stud Plate- (About) 1600 Metres. 
         8 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 90.
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. P. Shroff to 
                  withdraw  STAFIRE on veterinary grounds as it was  lame 
                  on  right hind and left fore due to a traumatic  injury 
                  on  right hock. He was informed that he must produce  a 
                  Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary  Officer 
                  before accepting with it again.  
        
        4th Race:     188. The Bold Gesture Plate-Div.II - (About) 1400
        11 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of SAPTASHWA,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for coming `in' and causing  interfer-
                  ence  to ALLONIA (Suraj Narredu) on his  inside  before 
                  passing the red marker post. 
        
                       Jockey  S. Selvaraj, the rider of  FREEMASON,  was 
                  severely  reprimanded for easing his mount  during  the 
                  final stages of the races. He was further informed that 
                  in view of the fact that he had won the race no further 
                  action  was  taken  as also cautioned  to  desist  from 
                  repeating the undesirable practice. 
        
                       SIMPLY  DANGEROUS  (K.P.G. Appu) sustained  a  cut 
                  injury on right hind cannon. 
        
        5th Race:     189. The Maj.Newton Davis Memorial Cup - (About) -
         8 Runners    1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70.
        
                       Trainer  Mr. Vijay Singh was fined Rs.2,000/-  for 
                  declaring Jockey S. John who could not do the  declared 
                  weight.   Subsequently he was permitted  to  substitute 
                  Jockey  S. Selvaraj to ride AZUREUS in place of  Jockey 
                  S. John the declared rider. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f LIVING LUXURY. 
        
        6th Race:     190. The Bangalore City Gold Cup - (About) 1200
         7 Runners    Metres. Indian Horses 3 years old and over (Terms).
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner ch f HAUNTING MEMORIES. 
        
        7th Race:     191. The Manitou Cup- Div.I- (About) 1100 Metres.
         8 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have  run  at least thrice but not  placed  second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
                       Jockey  J.H.  Christopher,  the  rider  of  DOUBLE 
                  EMERGE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming in and  causing 
                  interference  to GIVE ME THE MONEY (Suraj  Narredu)  on 
                  his  inside  soon  after jumping out  of  the  starting 
                  gates. 
        
                       Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of LUCKY LINE report-
                  ed that he could not get a clear run soon after jumping 
                  out  of the starting gates due to the crowding  of  the 
                  field . 
        
                       Jockey  K.P.G.Appu, the rider of BORN  BEAUTY  re-
                  ported  that he could not get a clear  run  approaching 
                  the 400 Metres due to a closely packed field. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f WELCOME BACK. 
        
        8th Race:     192. The Bold Gesture Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400
        12 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       GENERAL  RIDGE (Imran Chisty) stumbled soon  after 
                  jumping out of the starting gates unbalancing the rider 
                  who was dislodged from his mount. 
                      
                       An  enquiry  is being held into  the  interference 
                  caused by Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of TATLER  to 
                  Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of LUCKYNUMBERSLEVAN  and 
                  Jockey K. Narasimha, the rider of DARING BID within 100 
                  Metres of the start. 
        
                       Jockey  Vivek, the rider of MEXIKAN WAVE on  being 
                  questioned  reported  that his mount was  hanging  `in' 
                  very badly from the start and that he had difficulty in 
                  keeping  it on an even course whereby it went `in'  and 
                  inconvenienced  TATLER  (D. Gnaneshwar) on  his  inside 
                  within 50 Metres of the start and again approaching the 
                  1300  Metres.  The horse was impounded  for  veterinary 
                  examination.  The  Club's Veterinary  Officer  reported 
                  that  the  horse was observed to have sharp  molars  on 
                  either  side of the lower jaw. Trainer Mr. V.  Lokanath 
                  was  advised  to take appropriate  corrective  measures 
                  before accepting with it again. 
        
                       Jockey S. John, the rider of RENASCENT was  repri-
                  manded for indulging in victory celebration before  the 
                  winning  post  when his mount was involved in  a  close 
                  finish.  He  was advised to desist from  repeating  the 
                  undesirable practice. 
        
                       TATLER  (D. Gnaneshwar) sustained a cut injury  on 
                  right fore cannon. 
        
                       Soon after the race, the Club's Veterinary Officer 
                  reported  that on examination it was observed that  the 
                  REIGNING SKY (Mark Zarah) had apparently lost its  left 
                  shoe during the race.
         
        9th Race:     193. The Iflookscouldkill Plate - (About) 1600
        10 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50, 4 and 5 years old.
        
                       As  Jockey  Imran Chisty was  certified  medically 
                  unfit  to ride after his fall in the 8th race,  permis-
                  sion  was granted to trainer Mr.V. Lokanath to  substi-
                  tute  Jockey  B.L.  Paswan to ride ZAIOS  in  place  of 
                  Jockey Imran Chisty the declared rider.  
        
                       HANDIWORK (S. John) was slow into the strides  and 
                  after  jumping out swerved to the left  thereby  losing 
                  many  lengths at the start.  In view of  its  behaviour 
                  trainer  Mr. Darius Byramji was informed that  he  must 
                  not  accept with it again until its behaviour  improved 
                  to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in  one 
                  Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
                       Jockey  S. Selvaraj, the rider of BE FOR YOU,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting `out' approaching the 600 
                  Metres  whereby WILE WENCH (Suraj  Narredu)  travelling 
                  behind had to be checked and shifted out.
        
                       An  enquiry  is being held into  the  running  and 
                  riding  of  SUN  ZONE trained by Mr.  B.  Puttanna  and 
                  ridden by Jockey C. Krishnan.
