        1st Race:     128.The Confucious Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres
        10 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       ADORNA  (A. Imran Khan) sustained a cut injury  on 
                  right hind tendon and hock. 
        
                       RIGHTHERERIGHTNOW  (S. John) clipped the heels  of 
                  the front runner BRAVE ROMANCE (Jagdish Shukla) crashed 
                  against  the  false rails and stumbled  dislodging  its 
                  rider approaching the 900 Metres. On examination of the 
                  horse after the race it was observed  to have sustained 
                  a  cut  injury  on both fore cannon on  left  hind  and 
                  fracture  of the left fourth rib due to severe  trauma. 
                  Subsequently it collapsed and died. 
        
                       Jockey M. Reuben, the rider of BAFFLED, was  ques-
                  tioned  as  to the handling of his  mount.   While  not 
                  being satisfied with his explanations, he was  informed 
                  that  in view of the fact that he had won the  race  no 
                  further  action was taken but for which he  would  have 
                  been  reported to the Stewards for severe  disciplinary 
                  action. 
        
                       The  Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey  Jagdish 
                  Shukla, the rider of BRAVE ROMANCE to the Stewards  for 
                  careless  riding (Rule No.161(ii) in that in  the  last 
                  200  Members he allowed his mount to drift out  causing 
                  severe interference to ADAIR (K.P.G. Appu) and  BAFFLED 
                  (M.  Reuben)  on  his outside.  The  Stewards  held  an 
                  enquiry  after  the last race  and  interviewed  Jockey 
                  Jagdish  Shukla. After deliberations, they  decided  to 
                  suspend  his Jockey's Licence from 18-7-2007  to  19-7-
                  2007 (both days inclusive) and fine him Rs.5,000/-  for 
                  careless  riding (Rule No.161(ii)) on his  mount  BRAVE 
                  ROMANCE in the above race (permitted to ride work).
         
                       REFERENCE (B. Prakash) was observed to have  burst 
                  its  blood  vessels during the race.   Trainer  Mr.  S. 
                  Ganapathy  was informed that he must produce a  Fitness 
                  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
                  accepting with it again. 
        
                       ADORNA  (A. Imran Khan) sustained a cut injury  on 
                  right hind tendon and hock.
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f BAFFLED. 
        
        2nd Race:     129. The Pune Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses
        11 Runners    rated 00 to 30.
        
                       As Jockey S. John was certified medically unfit to 
                  ride  after  his fall in the 1st race,  permission  was 
                  granted to trainer Mr. Z. Darashah to substitute Jockey 
                  S.  Selvaraj to ride TOBIN in place of Jockey  S.  John 
                  the declared rider. 

                       AGASSIZ (M.Reuben) was fractious on the way to the 
                  starting gates, dislodged the rider and ran  riderless.  
                  Under the circumstances it was withdrawn before  coming 
                  under Starter's orders. 
        
                       Jockey  V. Patel, the rider of FLYING VIKING,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for allowing his mount to travel  wide 
                  while rounding the final bend. 
        
                       Jockey  A. Velu, the rider of SPECIAL  EVENT,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for allowing his mount to travel  wide 
                  while rounding the final bend.
        
                       Jockey  J.H.  Christopher,  the  rider  of  GLOBAL 
                  TYCOON, reported that he lost his whip approaching  the 
                  500 Metres. 
        
                       Jockey  Ramandeep  S. Bal, the rider  of  LADY  IN 
                  STYLE,  was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive  use  of 
                  the   whip   on  his  mount  during   the   race   (1st 
                  infringemnt). 
        
        3rd Race:     130. The S.N.Harish Memorial Trophy-(About) 1400
        10 Runners    Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only
                      (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed
                      second,  third  or  fourth  even  once  ineligible)
                     (Terms).
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner ch g CZAR ALEXANDER. 
        
        4th Race:     131.The Confucious Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres
        10 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       Jockey  Md. Shafiq, the rider of DESERT HERO   was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for not sufficiently persevering  with 
                  his mount during the race. 
        
                       Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of TRAFALGAR  SQUARE 
                  was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount 
                  during the race. 
        
        5th Race:     132. The R.M.Puttanna Memorial Trophy-Div.I-
        10 Runners   (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70, 4 and  5
                      years old.
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. M. Eshwer to 
                  substitute Jockey B. Mukesh to ride TURBO BABE in place 
                  of Jockey S. John the declared rider. 
        
                       TURBO  BABE  (B. Mukesh) planted in  the  starting 
                  gates  and lost considerable ground at the  start.   In 
                  view  of its behaviour, trainer Mr. M. Eshwer  was  in-
                  formed that he must not accept with it again until  its 
                  behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendi-
                  ary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race 
                  track. 
        
                       Jockey  J.H. Christopher, the rider of  PRINCE  OF 
                  BYERLY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming `in' and  caus-
                  ing  interference  to BIRTHDAY STAR (S.  Babu)  on  his 
                  inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates. 
        
                       ATTAIN  (Shobhan Babu) repeatedly  changed  course 
                  and  was running erratically in the last 300 Metres  of 
                  the  race.   The  horse was  impounded  for  veterinary 
                  examination.  The Club's Veterinary Officer reported at 
                  5.05 p.m. that the horse was trotting scratchy and  was 
                  suffering  from flexion of the left fore  fetlock  with 
                  envincing pain. Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was informed 
                  that  he  must produce a Fitness Certificate  from  the 
                  Club's  Veterinary  Officer before  accepting  with  it 
                  again.  
        
                       Jockey  Mark Zahra, the rider of PRIDE, was  fined 
                  Rs.3,000/-  for  drifting out and  bumping  NONAME  (S. 
                  Ramesh) during the final stages of the race.  
        
                       BIRTHDAY STAR (S. Babu) sustained a cut injury  on 
                  right fore cannon. 
        
                       The  Stipendiary Stewards reported  Jockey  K.P.G. 
                  Appu,  the rider of GUN FIRE to the Stewards for  care-
                  less riding (Rule No.161(ii)) in that within 100 Metres 
                  of  the start he came in sharply causing severe  inter-
                  ference  to SOUTHERNER (S. Selvaraj)  PRINCE OF  BYERLY 
                  (J.H.  Christopher) and BIRTHDAY STAR (S. Babu) on  his 
                  inside  whereby the last named horse had to  be   badly 
                  checked  by  his rider. The Stewards  held  an  enquiry 
                  after the last race and interviewed Jockey K.P.G. Appu. 
                  After deliberations, they decided to fine Jockey K.P.G. 
                  Appu  Rs.5,000/- for careless riding (Rule  No.161(ii)) 
                  on his mount GUN FIRE in the above race.
        
        6th Race:     133. The Daisy Appoo B.T.C.Anniversary Cup - 
        12 Runners    (Grade III) - (About) 1400 Metres. Indian Horses 4
                      years old and over (Terms).
        
                       Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was fined Rs.500/-  for 
                  making an error in the declaration of weight in respect 
                  of his charge ROMANTIC GETAWAY. 
        
                       RED  KEY POINT (Neeraj Rawal) was extremely  frac-
                  tious  and  refused to be stalled.  Under  the  circum-
                  stances it was withdrawn before coming under  Starter's 
                  orders.  
        
                       Jockey  B.L.  Paswan, the rider of JET  FIRE,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for coming `in' and causing  interfer-
                  ence  to PARTHENON (Vincent Colgan) on his  inside  ap-
                  proaching the 350 Metres. 
        
                       Compulsory  Samples were taken for  analysis  from 
                  the I, II and III placed horses viz:

        7th Race:     134. The Nawab M.Arshad Ali Khan Memorial Cup -
         7 Runners    (About) 1400 Metres. 3-year-old Indian Horses
                      (Foaled in 2004) (Terms).

        8th Race:     135. The Sir Bruce Plate-(About)1400 Metres. Maiden
        12 Runners    Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run
                      at  least  thrice but not placed second,  third  or
                      fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
                            NIL
        
        9th Race:    136. The R.M.Puttanna Memorial Cup-Div.II-(About)
         9 Runners    1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70, 4 and 5 years
                      old.
        
                       PAL JOEY (D. Gnaneshwar) clipped the heels of  the 
                  front runner SIEZE THE NIGHT (Ryan Marshall) and  stum-
                  bled approaching the 900 Metres. 
        
                       PAL  JOEY (D. Gnaneshwar) burst its blood  vessels 
                  during  the race. Trainer Mr. Z. Darashah was  informed 
                  that  he  must produce a Fitness Certificate  from  the 
                  Club's  Veterinary  Officer before  accepting  with  it 
                  again.

        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr.V. Lokanath to deputise  on 
        behalf  of trainer Mr. Ananta Vatsalya who was unable  to  attend 
        the races.
