Lokanath was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the starting declaration in respect of his charge FULL STEELE as regards shoeing. As Jockey Ramandeep S. Bal was under suspension, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Samar Singh to substitute Jockey Ranjeet Singh to ride INDIAN OCEAN in place of Jockey Ramandeep S. Bal. HIMA'S PRIDE (J.E. Jockey Shobhan Babu, the rider of FOOTSTEPSINTHES- KY, was fined Rs.2,000/- for repeatedly causing inter- ference to ORO NEIRO (S. Selvaraj) on his inside bet- ween the 300 and 200 Metres. Jockey Shobhan Babu, the rider of FOOTSTEPSINTHES- KY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement). The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of CIAMPINO to the Stewards for the excessive use of the whip on his mount in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey J.H. Christopher. After deliber- ations, they decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence of J.H. Christopher from 23-8-2007 to 24-8-2007 (both days inclusive) for the excessive use of the whip on his mount CIAMPINO in the above race (3rd infringement) (permitted to ride work). BALLERINA GIRL (S. The Stipendiary Stewards reported trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy (deputising for trainer Mr. G. Karthik) and Jockey Imran Chisty in connection with the running and riding of ASSOCIATOR in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on Wednesday, 8th August 2007 and interviewed trainer Mr. S. Gana- pathy and Jockey Imran Chisty. Chidambaram Chettyar Memorial Trophy- Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 70. (A) The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Tuesday, 31st July 2007 considered the appeal filed by Jockey T.K. Jackman against the decision of the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., in declaring him a disqualified person under the BTC Rules of Racing with effect from 1-8-2007 to 31-7-2010 (both days inclusive) for not permitting his mount WIZZY NOISE to run on its merit in Race No.56 of the Mysore Summer Races 2007 thus contravening Rule No.159(a) & (b) read with 202 of the BTC Rules of Racing. The Board of Appeal interviewed Mr. S. Marshall, spokesman for Jockey T.K. Jackman, the Jockey himself and Mr. G. Sandhu, the trainer of the horse. After deliberations, they decided to reject the appeal filed by Jockey T.K.Jackman. They further decided that the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by Jockey T.K. Jackman be forfeited. (B) The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Tuesday, 31st July 2007, considered the appeal field by trainer Mr. G. Sandhu against the decision of the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., in declaring him a disqualified person under the BTC Rules of Racing with effect from 1-8-2007 to 31-7-2010 (both days inclusive) for not running his charge WIZZY NOISE to run on its merit in Race No.56 of the Mysore Summer Races 2007 and for tendering unsatisfactory explanation during the enquiry and thus contravening Rule No.159(a) read with Rule No.202 of the BTC Rules of Racing. The Board of Appeal interviewed Mr. Darius Byramji, spokesman for Trainer Mr. G. Sandhu, the trainer himself and Jockey T.K. Jackman. After deliberations, they decided to reject the appeal filed by trainer Mr. G. Sandhu. They further decided that the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by trainer Mr. G. Sandhu be for- feited. Selvaraj against the decision of the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., in suspending his Jockey's Licence with effect from 1-8-2007 to 3-8- 2007 (both days inclusive) and from 23-8-2007 to 31-8-2007 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding on his mount DOCK OF BAY in the above race.
