        1st Race:    73. The Melbourne Plate-(About) 1200 Metres.
         7 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25, 4, 5 & 6 years old. 
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. Warren Singh  to  withdraw 
        COUELLE on veterinary grounds as it was lame on left fore due  to 
        inflammed elbow.  He was informed that he must produce a  Fitness 
        Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer before  accepting 
        with it again.  
        
        Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu, the rider of TRAFALGAR SQUARE, was fined 
        Rs.2,000/-  for coming `in' and causing interference to  ASPIRING 
        SEVEN (V.R. Jagadeesh) on his inside approaching the 350 Metres.
        
        Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of WHISPER VALLEY, was reprimanded 
        in  the presence of his trainer Mr. V. Lokanath for riding in  an 
        incompetent  manner. He was further informed that he should  make 
        every effort to improve his riding in future. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ROAD TO 
        ROMANCE. 
        
        2nd Race:   74. The His Majesty Plate - (About) 1200 Metres 
         8 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run atleast thrice but not placed second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
        ROYAL CHIEF (D. Gnaneshwar) jumped awkwardly outwards and  incon-
        venienced  WESTERN PALACE (V.R. Jagadeesh) and CHAKDEPHATTE  (Zia 
        Akhtar) on the outside. 
        
        3rd Race:   75. The Elusive Pimpernel Trophy-(About) 1400 Metres 
         8 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run atleast thrice but not placed second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
        Jockey S. Ramesh, the rider of FAIR INVADER, was fined Rs.1,000/- 
        for coming `in' and causing interference to FLY FREE (M. Narredu) 
        on his inside approaching the 700 Metres. 
        
        Jockey  Ms Lisa Jones, the rider of COPERTINA, reported that  her 
        mount was hanging `in' after entering the straight.  Trainer  Mr. 
        Shehzad Abbas was informed to get it checked by his  Veterinarian 
        and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it 
        again. 
        
        Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy and Jockey Y.S. Srinath were  questioned 
        regarding  the  running and riding of CELESTIAL TREASURE  in  the 
        above  race.  The  trainer stated that the horse  had  come  from 
        outstation  and  finished  2nd in its last outing  and  has  been 
        subsequently  tracking well based on which he fancied it  to  win 
        but  was thoroughly disappointed with its performance. The  rider 
        stated  that he missed the jump but soon brushed his mount to  be 
        with the other runners and rode out fully in the straight but his 
        horse did not respond well. In his opinion the horse was inclined 
        to put its tongue over the bit and therefore he had suggested the 
        trainer to use a tongue strap. Their explanations were noted. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c UNDUE. 
        
        4th Race:    76. The Galilee Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. 
        12 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        CUTE  STYLE  (S.  Chandrashekar) jumped out  awkwardly  from  the 
        gates.
        
        Jockey  Md. Shafiq, the rider of PERFECT ANALYSIS, reported  that 
        his mount was hanging `in' after entering the straight.   Trainer 
        Mr.  B. Prithviraj was informed to get it checked by his  Veteri-
        narian and take appropriate corrective measures before  accepting 
        with it again.
        
        Jockey Shakti Singh, the rider of LADY BANKS was fined Rs.2,000/- 
        for  shifting  `out' and causing interference to MAN  UNITED  (A. 
        Ashok Kumar) on his outside approaching the 200 Metres. 
        
        DIVINE DEW (S. Babu) sustained an injuries on upper lip and gums.                 
        
        5th Race:    77. The Fillies Trial Stakes (Grade I) Cup-(About)-
        15 Runners    1600 Metres. 3 year old Indian Fillies (Foaled in
                      2005) (terms) 
        
        Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Ananta Vatsalya to withdraw 
        STIRRING  (Vivek) on veterinary grounds as it was lame  on  right 
        fore due to inflammed pastern and shin.  He was informed that  he 
        must  produce  a Fitness Certificate from the  Club's  Veterinary 
        Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following  I, 
        II and III placed horses viz:

        6th Race:    78. The Sans Craints Stud Plate-(About) 1200 Metres.
        10 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 85.
        
        As Jockey S. John was certified medically unfit to ride,  permis-
        sion  was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to  substitute 
        Jockey  Ranjeet Singh to ride COLONEL DUFF in place of Jockey  S. 
        John, the declared rider. 
        
        Jockey  C. Krishnan, the rider of LAVA, was fined Rs.2,000/-  for 
        shifting  `out' and causing interference to STRONG MINDED  (Suraj 
        Narredu)  on his outside approaching the 900 Metres which had  to 
        be checked by its rider. STYLISH BAY (M. Narredu) running  behind 
        the latter also had to be checked by its rider. 
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g LAVA. 
        
        7th Race:    79. The Mahalakshmi Plate-(About) 1400 Metres.
        11 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25. 
        
        RETRO QUEEN (D. Mahendran) stood flatfooted in the gates and lost 
        few  lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour trainer  Mr. 
        Tharun  Thimmaiah  was informed that he must not accept  with  it 
        again  until  its behaviour improved to the satisfaction  of  the 
        STipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate  practice 
        day. 
        
        Jockey  Jagdish  Shukla,  the  rider  of  ASTONICAL,  was   fined 
        Rs.2,000/-  for  shifting `in' and causing interference  to  MINT 
        (Vinod Shinde) on his inside rounding the final bend.
        
        Jockey  V.R.  Jagadeesh,  the rider of BULLISH  LUCK,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount  during 
        the race (1st infringement).
