(False Rails - Width of 3.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres and 6 Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning post.) 1st Race: 80. The Camineto Plate - Div.II - (About) 1100 Metres 8 Runners Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms). Trainer Mr. Shamshuddin was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge SIKANDER E ALAM (M.F. Ali Khan). Subsequently `all black' emer- gency colours were permitted to be used. Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of TWO TO TANGO, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to SIKANDER E ALAM (M.F. Ali Khan) on his outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates. Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of MUSICAL PARADISE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to AL JADEED (N.M. Sequeira) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres. Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of ROYAL BANK reported taht his mount was hanging `out' badly after entering the straight. Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. 2nd Race: 81. The Camineto Plate - Div. I - (About) 1100 Metres 8 Runners Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms). Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of TELEMACCHUS, was reprimanded in the presence of trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala for riding in an incom- petent manner. He was further informed that he should make every effort to improve his riding in future. PINAAKINI (Shobhan Babu)sustained a bleeding gum injury. 3rd Race: 82. The Bukit Timah Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 11 Runners For horses rated 00 to 25, 4, 5 & 6 years old. Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of BADDA RUPAIYYA, reported that his saddle shifted back rounding the final bend. After due examination of the equipment after the race, Trainer Mr. M.B. Mangalorkar was fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling. WORK TO WORD (J.H. Christopher) lost few lengths. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satis- faction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day. Jockey Afsar Khan, the rider of GRACIAN, reported that his mount was hanging `in' after entering the straight. Trainer Mr. Mah- mood Khan was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. Trainer Mr. M.B. Mangalorkar was questioned regarding the im- proved performance of his charge BADDA RUPAIYYA (D. Gnaneshwar), the winner of this race as compared to its performance in Race No.32 i.e. The Santa Anita Park Plate-(About) 1400 Metres for horses rated 00 to 25, 4,5 and 6 years old run on 25th May 2008 when ridden by Jockey M.F.Ali Khan it ran unplaced. The trainer stated that (a) The horse has put on condition and has been working well; (b) he has given sufficient gap from its last run and accepted it to run today; and (c) with the run benefit and in its present condition, the horse won the race. His explanations were noted. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f BADDA RUPAIYYA. 4th Race: 83. The Sweet Memories Plate - (About) 1800 Metres. 9 Runners For horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 & 6 years old. LEAGUES APART (Wayne Smith) pulled up lame after the race on right fore due to sprained tendon. Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. It was observed that Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad's charge BENNYTHE- BULL arrived late to the paddock. When questioned for the same, he explained that the horse was extremely fractious while being saddled and hence the delay. His explanation was noted. Approaching the 1300 Metres as the birds on the inner sand track scattered, BENNYTHEBULL (A. Imran Khan) suddenly shied away and again was brought back towards the rails. LEAGUES APART (Wayne Smith) running behind had to be slightly checked by the rider. MISS PUKKA (S. John) which was fiercely running behind the latter struck the front runner, brushed the false rails whereby the rider got momentarily unbalanced. As no fault could be attributed to any particular rider, the incident was noted. Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of BENNYTHEBULL, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (2nd infringement). Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g LEAGUES APART. 5th Race: 84. The Brig. R.C.R. Hill Memorial Trophy-Div.I- 11 Runners (About) 1400 Metres, horses rated 40 to 65, 4,5 & 6 years old. BASTIAN BAY (S. Selvaraj) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be with- drawn before coming under Starter's Orders. Jockey K. Chethana, the rider of EL GORDO, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to ALCHESAYE (M. Narredu) on his inside approaching the 1000 Metres. Jockey B. Mahesh, the rider of APERTINI, was fined Rs.2,000/- for exulting before passing the winning post. 6th Race: 85. The Civil Service Trophy-(About) 1400 Metres. 9 Runners Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms). REDSHIFT (V.R. Jagadeesh) jumped awkwardly outwards from the gates. Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of REDSHIFT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not exercising sufficient control over his mount whereby he repeatedly allowed his mount to change course in the last 300 Metres. 7th Race: 86. The Ramkirpal Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 11 Runners Horses rated 20 to 45. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. L D'Silva to withdraw NAPA VALLEY (Mohd. Ghous) on veterinary grounds as it was lame on left fore. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. RADIANT ACT (Md. Shafiq) planted in the starting gates and took no practical part in the race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. PRINCESS KIDANE (K. Raja Rao) ran detached from the field. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Karan Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. An enquiry is being held into the incident pertaining to trainer Mr. Karan Singh bringing a wrong horse instead of b f PRINCESS KIDANE (K. Raja Rao) for the above race. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g REGAL RANSOM. 8th Race: 87. The Brig. R.C.R. Hill Memorial Trophy-Div.II- 12 Runners (About) 1400 Metres, horses rated 40 to 65, 4,5 & 6 years old. Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of MYSTIC STAR, reported that he could not get a clear run soon after jumping out of the starting gates due to the crowding of the field. Jockey Ms. Lisa Jones reported that the saddle on her mount MAC shifted back mid way through the race. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was questioned as to the incident and he stated that the horse was extremely fractious, reared up and sat down before the start and that may be the reason for saddle shifting back.
