        1st Race:     97. The Mauritius Pearl Plate - Div.II- (About) 
         9 Runners    1400 Metres, horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5  &
                      6 years old. 
        
        Jockey M.J. Gautam Raj Urs, the rider of ILLUSIVE GIRL, was fined 
        Rs.2,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to  SOLDIER 
        BLUE (Vivek) on his inside approaching the 1300 Metres. 
        
        MEDIA MAN (F.K. Shabuddin) was reluctant to raise a fluent gallop 
        and ran detached from the field.  In view of its behaviour train-
        er Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must not accept with  it 
        again  until  its behaviour improved to the satisfaction  of  the 
        Stipendiary  Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the  race 
        track. 
        
        SOLDIER  BLUE  (Vivek) sustained a cut injury on right  hind  fe-
        tlock. 
        
        2nd Race:    98. The Round Table Cup - (About) 1800 Metres. 
         7 Runners    Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
        Jockey  K.P.G. Appu, the rider of UNDUE, reported that  he  could 
        not  get a clear run approaching the 800 Metres due to a  closely 
        packed field. 
        
        Jockey  K.P.G. Appu, the rider of UNDUE on being  questioned  re-
        ported  that his mount did not accelerate well after passing  the 
        400  Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary  examination. 
        The  Club's  Veterinary Officer reported that on  examination  at 
        around 3.20 p.m. b c UNDUE was observed to be lame on right  fore 
        due  to sprained fetlock.  Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao  was  informed 
        that  he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the  Club's  Ve-
        terinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        Jockey Shobhan Babu, the rider of DOUBLE ELITE, reported that  he 
        could  not  get a clear run approaching the 800 Metres due  to  a 
        closely packed field. 
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b c UNDUE.
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b rig NOBLE 
        VIEW. 
        
        3rd Race:   99. The Pendragon Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.  
        12 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run at least thrice but not placed second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
        Jockey  D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of TIMELESS TREASURE, was  fined 
        Rs.2,000/- for not maintaining a proper course while rounding the 
        final bend. 
        
        FLY  FREE  (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a cut injury  on  right  hind 
        tendon. 
        
        CONCEPTUAL  (S. John) sustained a bleeding injury on  right  hind 
        coronet. 
        
        4th Race:   100. The High Commission Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres 
        12 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run at least thrice but not placed second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
        As  Jockey C. Alford was certified medically unfit to ride,  per-
        mission  was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to  substi-
        tute Jockey P.S. Chouhan to ride ONE in place of Jockey C. Alford 
        the declared rider. 
        
        Jockey M. Narredu, the rider of CROWN SCEPTRE, reported that  his 
        mount was running green throughout the race.  
        
        5th Race:     101. The Mauritius Pearl Plate - Div.I - (About) 
         9 Runners    1400 Metres, horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5  &
                      6 years old. 
        
        Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was fined Rs.500/- for making an error  in 
        the starting declaration in respect of his charge PROOF OF TREAS-
        URE (P.S.Chouhan) as regards shoeing. 
        
        CARIBBEAN PIRATE (Faisal M Ismail) was examined at the gates  and 
        found to be trotting lame on left fore.  Under the  circumstances 
        it  was  permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary  grounds  before 
        coming  under  Starter's orders.  Trainer Mr.  G.  Nityanand  was 
        informed  that  he must produce a Fitness  Certificate  form  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  
        
        BRAVE  BHEEM (Khurshad Alam) pulled up lame on right fore due  to 
        sprained  fetlock. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed  that  he 
        must  produce  a Fitness Certificate from the  Club's  Veterinary 
        Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        The  Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey C. Krishnan, the  rider 
        of  SAMRAT  ASHOK  to  the Stewards  for  careless  riding  (Rule 
        No.161(i)) in that soon after the start he came `in' sharply  and 
        caused  severe interference to  PROOF OF TREASURE (P.S.  Chouhan) 
        on his inside which in turn passed it on to BRAVE BHEEM (Khurshad 
        Alam). The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and exam-
        ined Jockeys C. Krishnan, P.S. Chouhan and Khurshad Alam.   After 
        deliberations,  they decided to suspend Jockey C.  Krishnan  from 
        riding in races from 8-7-2008 to 13-7-2008 (both days  inclusive) 
        for  careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) on his mount  SAMRAT  ASHOK  
        in the above race (permitted to ride work). 
        
        6th Race:    102. The Karnataka Sub-Area Cup-(About) 1400 Metres. 
        11 Runners    For horses rated 80 and above. 
        
        COCO CHANEL (Md. Shafiq) was extremely fractious in the gates and 
        hence  was  permitted to be withdrawn. Trainer Mr. D  .Netto  was 
        informed  that  he must produce a Fitness  Certificate  from  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. Vijay Singh to  substitute 
        Jockey  M.  Narredu to ride ELUSIVE STUDY in place of  Jockey  C. 
        Alford the declared rider. 
        
        Jockey  B. Prakash, the rider of WONDER SMILE, reported that  his 
        saddle  slightly shifted back during the race and added  that  it 
        did not hamper his riding out on his mount. After due examination 
        of  the  equipment after the race, trainer Mr. S.  Ganapathy  was 
        cautioned to be more careful in future as regards saddling.
        
        Jockey  Vinod  Shinde, the rider of JET FIRE,  reported  that  he 
        could  not get a clear run between 300 Metres and 200 Metres  due 
        to a closely packed field. 
        
        Jockey  C.  Krishnan, the rider of LAVA was reprimanded  for  not 
        maintaining a straight course in the final stages of the race. 
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f WONDER SMILE. 
        
        Routine  Sample  was  taken for analysis from the  winner  dkb  f 
        DANCING HIGHNESS. 
        
        7th Race:     103. The Skyline Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. 
        12 Runners    For horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        Jockey  N.M.  Sequeira,  the rider of HYPER  KINETIC,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for not maintaining a proper course  approaching  the 
        900 Metres thereby inconveniencing READY TO MINGLE (Y.S. Srinath) 
        on his inside.
        
        8th Race:    104. The New Market Plate - (About) 1800 Metres. 
        12 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25.
        
        BURNING  AMBITIONS (M. Narredu) sustained an injury on  his  left 
        hind coronet. 
        
        TRACK  WONDER  (P.S. Chouhan) sustained bleeding  cut  injury  on 
        right hock. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g BURNING 
        AMBITIONS.
        
        The  Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey K. Raja Rao, the  rider 
        of  TOUCH  OF  MAGIC to the Stewards for  careless  riding  (Rule 
        No.161(i)) in that approaching the 300 Metres he suddenly shifted 
        `in' and caused  severe interference to  ENFORCEMENT (J.H. Chris-
        topher)  on  his inside. The Stewards held an enquiry  after  the 
        last race and examined Jockeys K. Raja Rao and J.H.  Christopher.  
        After  deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey K. Raja  Rao 
        from riding in races from 8-7-2008 to 15-7-2008 (both days inclu-
        sive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) on his mount TOUCH  OF 
        MAGIC in the above race (permitted to ride work).

        on  behalf of trainer Mr.Irfan Ghatala who was unable  to  attend 
        the races.

             Jockey S. John, the rider of MASQUENADA,was fined Rs.1,000/-
        for  the excessive use of the whip on his mount during  the  race 
        (1st infringement).
