                                   from 1600 Metres to the winning post.)
        
        1st Race:   105. The Tippu Sultan Cup-Div.II-(About) 1100 Metres.  
         9 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run at least thrice but not placed second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
        Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan to  withdraw 
        SIBEREAN  PRINCES  on veterinary grounds as it was lame  on  both 
        fore due to inflammed hooves.He was informed that he must produce 
        a  Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was fined Rs.2,000/- for not presenting 
        his charge ONE FINE DAY before the Veterinary Officer for  weigh-
        ing.
        
        The  Stewards ordered and held an enquiry immediately  after  the 
        race  into the running of the race with particular  reference  to 
        Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu, the rider of JUST GREAT place I,  shift-
        ing `out' and inconveniencing STAR LEAGUE (S. John) at about  150 
        Metres  from  the winning post and  GIFTOFACHIEVEMENT  (R.  Koch) 
        placed  II in the last 50 Metres. They interviewed  Jockeys  G.Y. 
        Rajesh  Babu,  S. John and R. Koch.   After  deliberations,  they 
        decided  to  retain the placings as originally  declared  by  the 
        Judge.  
        
        The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu to  the 
        Stewards  for improper riding (Rule No.161(i) on his  mount  JUST 
        GREAT  in the above race in that using his whip  persistently  on 
        the  right  he  allowed his mount to drift out in  the  last  150 
        Metres  thereby inconveniencing STAR LEAGUE (S. John) and  GIFTO-
        FACHIEVEMENT (R. Koch). They interviewed Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu. 
        After deliberations, the Stewards decided to suspend Jockey  G.Y. 
        Rajesh Babu from riding in races from 9-7-2008 to 12-7-2008 (both 
        days  inclusive)  and fined him a sum of Rs.2,500/- for  improper 
        riding (Rule No.161(i) on his mount JUST GREAT  in the above race 
        (permitted to ride work).  
        
        An  enquiry is being held into the interference caused by  Jockey 
        K.  Raja  Rao,  the rider of LUNAR ROYALE to the  horses  on  his 
        outside soon after the start.
        
        An  enquiry is being held into the interference caused by  Jockey 
        S.  John, the rider of STAR LEAGUE on his inside soon  after  the 
        start. 
        
        2nd Race:     106. The Honey Day Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
        12 Runners    For horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        Jockey  K. Gopal Rao, the rider of BRAVE ARJUN,  was  reprimanded 
        for  not maintaining a straight course approaching the  last  250 
        Metres. 
        
        Jockey  G.Y.  Rajesh Babu, the rider of  MASTER  STRATEGIST,  was 
        fined  Rs.1,000/- for improper use of the whip thereby not  main-
        taining a straight course in the last 300 Metres. 
        
        Jockey  J.H.  Christopher,  the rider of COSTA  MESA,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for  dropping his hands before  passing  the  winning 
        post.
        
        Jockey  P.S. Chouhan, the rider of BAFFLED, was fined  Rs.1,000/- 
        for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.
        
        BAFFLED  (P.S.  Chouhan)  sustained a cut injury  on  right  hind 
        tendon.
        
        3rd Race:    107. The Supervite Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 
         8 Runners    Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
        CUTE STYLE (S. Chandrashekar) took a fly jump.
        
        4th Race:     108. The Nad Sheba Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
        11 Runners    For horses rated 00 to 25, 4, 5  & 6 years old. 
        
        Jockey  J.E. Pereira, the rider of COUELLE was  fined  Rs.3,000/- 
        for  his  negligence in weighing `out' whereby he  weighed  `out' 
        without  the stirrups of his saddle. Subsequently the saddle  was 
        re-weighed with the stirrup resulting in an undue delay.
        
        Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was fined Rs.3,000/- for his  negligence 
        in  saddling his charge COUELLE (J.E. Pereira) without the  stir-
        rups.
        
        AAJTAK  (C. Krishnan) dropped the rider bolted on the way to  the 
        gates and completed one full round.Under the circumstances it was 
        permitted to be withdrawn.
        
        ASTONICAL (Vivek) planted and lost many lengths at the start.  In 
        view  of its behaviour trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed  that 
        he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved  to 
        the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock race  on 
        a race day on the race track. 
        
        WESTERN SPARK (A. Imran Khan) pulled up lame on left fore  during 
        the race, the rider having to dismount before passing the winning 
        post. On veterinary examination it was observed to have sustained 
        fracture of left fore and hence was euthanised. 
        
        Jockey  Wayne  Smith,  the  rider  of  RUNNING  MAN,  was   fined 
        Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during  the 
        race (2nd imfringement).
        
        Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of TOUGH OF PARADISE was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount  during 
        the race (1st infringement).
        
        5th Race:   109. The Tippu Sultan Cup-Div.I-(About) 1100 Metres.  
        11 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run at least thrice but not placed second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to  sub-
        stitute Jockey Wayne Smith to ride ABS FABS in place of Jockey C. 
        Alford the declared rider.
        
        Jockey A.Velu, the rider of SPICY STAR, was fined Rs.1,000/-  for 
        shifting  `in'  and causing interference  to  HURRICANEBAY  (D.K. 
        Ashish) on his inside approaching the 150 Metres. 
        
        ANOTHER DESTINY (P.S. Chouhan) pulled up lame on right fore after 
        the  race.   Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that  he  must 
        produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary  Officer 
        before accepting with it again. 
        
        DISTINCTLY  AHEAD  (Suraj Narredu) sustained an injury  on  right 
        hind gaskin. 
        
        An  enquiry is being held into the interference caused by  Jockey 
        Suraj  Narredu,  the  rider of DISTINCTLY AHEAD  to  Jockey  P.S. 
        Chouhan, the rider of ANOTHER DESTINY in the above race. 
         
        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b  g  DIS-
        TINCTLY AHEAD. 
        
        6th Race:     110. The B.Khanna Memorial Cup-Div-I-(About) 
        12 Runners    1200 Metres. For horses rated 40 to 65, 4, 5  &
                      6 years old. 
        Jockey  Vinod  Shinde,  the  rider of BEE  THE  STAR,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for shifting `out' and causing interference  to  AFEA 
        (Suraj Narredu) on his outside soon after the start.
        
        Jockey  A. Imran Khan, the rider of ZAFAR, was  fined  Rs.2,000/- 
        for attempting to force a passage along the rails approaching the 
        900 Metres where there was insufficient room. 
        
        Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of AFEA, reported that his  mount 
        was hanging `out' throughout the race.  Trainer Mr. Darius Byram-
        ji  was  informed to get it checked by  his  Veterinarian  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        BEE  THE STAR (Vinod Shinde) sustained a bleeding injury on  left 
        fore.
         
        An  enquiry has been opened into the relative performance  of  IN 
        THE  ZONE  trained  by Mr. Arjun Mangalor and  ridden  by  Jockey 
        K.P.G. Appu in the above race as compared to its previous run  in 
        Race No.55 of Bangalore Summer Meeting 2008.  
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b c IN THE ZONE. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g AFEA. 
        
        7th Race:     111. The Chief Justice's Cup (Grade III) - 
        14 Runners    1800 Metres. For 4 years old and over.
        
        Trainer  Mr. S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in  the  declaration of weight in respect of his  charge  CLASSIC 
        SKY.
        
        Permission  was  granted  to trainer Vijay  Singh  to  substitute 
        Jockey  Harish to ride AZUREUS in place of Jockey C.  Alford  the 
        declared rider. 
        
        Jockey  P.S. Chouhan, the rider of ALEKONA, was fined  Rs.1,000/- 
        for not maintaining a straight course during the final stages  of 
        the race.
        
        An  enquiry is being held into the excessive use of the  whip  by 
        Jockey Wayne Smith on his mount NOBLE PRINCE in the above race.
        
        Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following  I, 
        II and III placed horses viz:

        8th Race:    112. The Manjri Stud Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. 
        10 Runners    For horses rated 60 to 85. 
        
        CARABINIERI  (L.  Marshall) jumped awkwardly  outwards  from  the 
        gates.
        
        Jockey  L. Marshall, the rider of CARABINIERI, reported  that  he 
        could not get a clear run soon after the start due to the  crowd-
        ing of the field. 
        
        Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of VAN DE STAR, reported that  his 
        mount  was hanging `out' in the straight.  Trainer  Mr.  Hidayath 
        Khan  (deputising  on  behalf of Trainer  Mr.Irfan  Ghatala)  was 
        informed  to get it checked by his Veterinarian and  take  appro-
        priate corrective measures before accepting with it again.  
        
        An  enquiry has been opened into the relative performance of  VAN 
        DE  STAR trained by Mr. Irfan Ghatala and ridden by Jockey  Vinod 
        Shinde in the above race as compared to its previous runs in Race 
        Nos.31 and 62 of Bangalore Summer Meeting 2008. This was informed 
        to  Trainer Mr. Hidayath Khan who was deputising for trainer  Mr. 
        Irfan Ghatala.   
        
        9th Race:     113. The B.Khanna Memorial Cup-Div-II-(About) 
        12 Runners    1200 Metres. For horses rated 40 to 65, 4, 5  &
                      6 years old. 
        
        Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of MARIANELLA was fined  Rs.2,000/- 
        for  shifting `out' and causing interference to ENFORCER  (Vivek) 
        on his outside approaching the 900 Metres. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f AWESOME 
        BEAUTY.
