        1st Race:     138. The Mumbai Cup-Div.II-(About) 1400 Metres. 
         8 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 85.
        
                       MUCHO (B.L. Paswan) jumped awkwardly outwards from 
                  the  gates   and inconvenienced ROYAL  TREASURE  (Wayne 
                  Smith) on its outside. 
        
        2nd Race:     139. The Mysore Cup-Div.I- (About) 1200 Metres. 
         9 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
                       BLACK  SPLENDOUR (S. Rajesh) burst its blood  ves-
                  sels  during  the race.  Trainer Mr.  Samar  Singh  was 
                  informed  that  he must produce a  Fitness  Certificate 
                  from  the  Club's Veterinary Officer  before  accepting 
                  with it again. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f CART WHEEL.
        
        3rd Race:     140. The Chennai Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres. 
         8 Runners    Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
                       VALIANT  BAY (Y.S. Srinath) suddenly  shifted  out 
                  off the heels of  SUAVE (Ryan Marshall) in the  process 
                  inconvenienced  SALSERA  (M. Narredu)  on  the  outside 
                  approaching the 500 Metres. 
        
                       Jockey  C.  Alford, the rider  of  ARKTOUROS,  was 
                  fined  Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip  on 
                  his mount during the race (1st infringement).
        
                       GOLDEN SKY (S. Babu) pulled up lame after the race 
                  on  right fore.  Trainer Mr. S.Ganapathy  was  informed 
                  that  he  must produce a Fitness Certificate  from  the 
                  Club's  Veterinary  Officer before  accepting  with  it 
                  again. 
        
                       Trainer  Mr. P. Shroff and Jockey C.  Alford  were 
                  questioned  regarding  the running and riding  of  ARK-
                  TOUROS.  Trainer Mr. P. Shroff stated that he had  spe-
                  cifically  instructed the rider to ride his charge  off 
                  the  pace  well  covered  up  and  after  entering  the 
                  straight  make his run on the outside and do his  best. 
                  He added that the rider had fully followed his instruc-
                  tions  and that he was satisfied with his riding.   The 
                  rider while corroborating the statement of the  trainer 
                  as  regards the instructions and running  of  the  race 
                  said that he rode as per instructions and he could only 
                  finish 4th.  Their explanations were noted.
        
        4th Race:     141. The Hyderabad Cup -(About) 1200 Metres
        12 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have  run  at least thrice but not  placed  second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms). 
        
                       After  the  race  the  Club's  Veterinary  Officer 
                  reported  that on examination it was observed that  the 
                  left  fore  shoe of RAY OF SUNSHINE  (M.  Narredu)  had 
                  apparently splayed during the race.
        
                       PELIKANO (Ms. Lisa Jones) shied away and inconven-
                  ienced ROYAL CHIEF (D. Gnaneshwar) approaching the 1000 
                  Metres. 
        
                       Jockey  J.H. Christopher, the rider of SHEZA  STAR 
                  was  fined  Rs.3,000/-  for shifting  out  and  causing 
                  interference to PELIKANO (Ms.Lisa Jones) on his outside 
                  approaching the 150 Metres. 
        
                       Jockey  M. Narredu, the rider of RAY OF  SUNSHINE, 
                  was  fined  Rs.3,000/- for shifting  `in'  and  causing 
                  interference  to  FESTINO (Md. Shafiq)  on  his  inside 
                  which in turn passed it on to SHEZA STAR (J.H. Christo-
                  pher) approaching the 900 Metres. FESTINO (Md.  Shafiq) 
                  travelled wide all along the race thereafter. 
        
                       SHEZA  STAR  (J.H. Christopher)  sustained  a  cut 
                  injury  on left hind tendon and right hind  cannon.  It 
                  was  reported to be walking lame on left hind.  Trainer 
                  Mr.  M.  Eshwer  was informed that he  must  produce  a 
                  Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary  Officer 
                  before accepting with it again. 
        
        5th Race:     142. The Mumbai Cup-Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres. 
         8 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 85.
        
                       Trainer  Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/-  for 
                  making an error in the starting declaration in  respect 
                  of his charge SOBERANO as regards rider.
        
                       Jockey S. Chandrashekar, the rider of  FANTABULOUS 
                  PRINCE,  was  fined Rs.1,000/- for  shifting  `in'  and 
                  causing  interference  to RENASCENT  (B.  Mahesh)  soon 
                  after jumping out of the starting gates. 
        
                       Jockey  Vinod Shinde, the rider of  SOBERANO,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight  course 
                  in the straight. 
        
                       Jockey  B.L. Paswan, the rider of LOGANS RUN,  was 
                  fined  Rs.2,000/- for shifting `in' and causing  inter-
                  ference  to RED MUSTANG (Ranjeet Singh) on  his  inside 
                  before passing the red marker post. 
        
        6th Race:     143. The Kingfisher Derby Bangalore (Grade I) -
         9 Runners    - (About) 2000 Metres. For 3 year old Indian Horses
                      (Foaled in 2005) (Terms).
      
                       Jockey  B. Prakash, the rider of NOBLE  VIEW,  was 
                  fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and causing interfer-
                  ence  to  ARCHIPENKO (C. Alford) on his  outside  while 
                  rounding the final bend. 
        
                       Compulsory  Samples were taken for  analysis  from 
                  the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

        7th Race:     144. The Delhi Cup-Div.I-(About) 1600 Metres. 
        10 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 and 6 years old.
        
                       BENNYTHEBULL  (A.  Imran  Khan)  sustained  a  cut 
                  injury on right stifle. 
        
                       HIDALGO (S. Chandrashekar) sustained an injury  on 
                  left fore fetlock. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b g POWER PUNCH. 
        
        8th Race:     145. The Kolkata Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. For  
        11 Runners    Horses rated 80 and above.
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar 
                  to withdraw LIONHEART (S. Chandrashekar) on  veterinary 
                  grounds  as it had sustained a cut injury on left  hind 
                  pastern.   He was informed that he must produce a  Fit-
                  ness  Certificate  from the Club's  Veterinary  Officer 
                  before accepting with it again.
        
                       WESTERN  COMMAND (Wayne Smith) veered out  at  the 
                  start  and inconvenienced MR MAJESTIC (S. Rajesh),  RIO 
                  BRAVO (Vivek) and GUIDED MISSLE (Suraj Narredu) on  its 
                  outside.
        
                       WESTERN COMMAND (Wayne Smith) sustained an  injury 
                  on right fore cannon.
        
                       The  Stipendiary  Stewards  reported  Jockey  P.S. 
                  Chouhan, the rider of STONE OF DESTINY to the  Stewards 
                  for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) in that he  shifted 
                  `in'  and caused severe interference to GUIDED  MISSILE 
                  (Suraj  Narredu) RIO BRAVO (Vivek) and MR MAJESTIC  (S. 
                  Rajesh)  before passing the red marker post.  The  Ste-
                  wards  held an enquiry after the last race  and  inter-
                  viewed  Jockey P.S. Chouhan. After  deliberations  they 
                  decided  to suspend Jockey P.S. Chouhan from riding  in 
                  races from 22-7-2008 to 27-7-2008 (both days inclusive) 
                  for  careless riding (Rule No.161(i)on his mount  STONE 
                  OF DESTINY in the above race (permitted to ride work).
        
           9th Race:     146. The Mysore Cup - Div.II- (About) 1200 Metres. 
         9 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
                       Trainer  Mr. B. Prithviraj was fined Rs.500/-  for 
                  making an error in the starting declaration in  respect 
                  of his charge SPLENDID POWER as regards shoeing. 
        
                       ATLANTUS (S. Chandrashekar) was very fractious and 
                  refused  to be stalled. Under the circumstances it  was 
                  withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders. 
        
                       LIFE IS WONDERFUL (M.D. Praveen) planted and  lost 
                  many  lengths  at the start. In view of  its  behaviour 
                  trainer  Mr. Amit Caddy was informed that he  must  not 
                  accept  with it again until its behaviour  improved  to 
                  the  satisfaction  of the Stipendiary Stewards  on  one 
                  Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
                       Surprise  Sample was taken for analysis from  b  f 
                  ATLANTUS.
