        1st Race:     163. The Chantille Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. 
         9 Runners    For Horses rated 00 to 25.
        
                       Trainer  Mr.M.P. Mahaesh was fined Rs.10,000/-  by 
                  the Stewards for accepting his charge NICE GUY  without 
                  producing  the  Fitness  Certificate  from  the  Club's 
                  Veterinary  Officer when it had been  specifically  ad-
                  vised to do so. Subsequently the horse was permitted to 
                  be withdrawn.
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B.  Puttanna 
                  to withdraw NON STOP CANNON (B.L. Paswan) on veterinary 
                  grounds  as it had sustained an injury on  right  knee.  
                  He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certifi-
                  cate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before  accept-
                  ing with it again. 
        
                       ROYAL FLYNN (P. Ramesh) jumped awkwardly  outwards 
                  from  the gates and inconvenienced DAZZLING  LIGHT  (A. 
                  Velu) on its outside. 
        
                       ROYAL FLYNN (P. Ramesh) sustained gum injury.
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner ch f ORANGE ORCHARD. 
        
        2nd Race:     164. The Snow Dew Plate-(About) 1400 Metres
         8 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run at least thrice but not placed second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms). 
        
                       ACRIDIAN (Suraj Narredu) jumped awkwardly outwards 
                  from the gates.
        
                       CONCEPTUAL (M. Narredu) took a fly jump.
        
                       BLUE  BOY (P. Mani) pulled up lame after the  race 
                  on  left fore due to a sprained tendon and sustained  a 
                  cut injury on left fore inner bulb of heel. Trainer Mr. 
                  Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness 
                  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
                  accepting with it again. 
        
                       PINAAKINI (Shobhan Babu) sustained gum injury.
       
        3rd Race:     165. The Manitou Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. 
         8 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                       have run at least thrice but not placed second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms). 
        
                       Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.2,000/-  for 
                  declaring  Jockey  K. Raja Rao to ride his  charge  RE-
                  SPLENDENT  ALPHA when the said rider was under  suspen-
                  sion.  Subsequently he was permitted to declare  Jockey 
                  D. Patel to ride RESPLENDENT ALPHA. 
        
                       WALTER (C. Krishnan) suddenly shied away approach-
                  ing the 300  Metres.  
        
                       Jockey M.Narredu, the rider of ZAFFARANI,was fined 
                  Rs.1,000/-  for  the excessive use of the whip  on  his 
                  mount during the race (1st infringement).
        
                       CHELSY  DANCER  (K.P.G.  Appu)  burst  its   blood  
                  vessels  after the race.  Trainer Mr. M.B.  Mangalorkar 
                  was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate 
                  from  the  Club's Veterinary Officer  before  accepting 
                  with it again. 
        
        4th Race:     166. The Richelieu Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 
         8 Runners    Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
                       HAKUNA  MATATA (S. Chandrashekar) swerved  to  the 
                  left  soon after the start.  In view of  its  behaviour 
                  trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must  not 
                  accept  with it again until its behaviour  improved  to 
                  the  satisfaction  of the Stipendiary Stewards  in  one 
                  jump out on a starting gate practice day. 
        
                       MARCEGALIA  (L. Marshall) burst its blood  vessels 
                  after the race. Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was  informed 
                  that  he  must produce a Fitness Certificate  from  the 
                  Club's  Veterinary  Officer before  accepting  with  it 
                  again. 
        
                       SCENIC  MELODY (S. Babu) burst its  blood  vessels 
                  after  the race. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was  informed 
                  that  he  must produce a Fitness Certificate  from  the 
                  Club's  Veterinary  Officer before  accepting  with  it 
                  again. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b  f REFLECTION OF GOLD.
        
        5th Race:     167. The J.B. Mallaradhya Memorial Cup - (About) 
         8 Runners    1200 Metres. For Horses rated 80 and above.
        
                       Passing the 1100 Metres in a tightly packed  field 
                  DINESA  (Vinod  Shinde) running behind  DIAMOND  HUNTER 
                  (K.P.G.  Appu) had to be checked and shifted  `out'  to 
                  avoid  striking the front runner and in the process  it 
                  inconvenienced LAVA (C. Krishnan) on the outside  which 
                  in  turn  went out and  inconvenienced  PERFECT  RHYTHM 
                  (Ranjeet Singh) and FANTABULOUS PRINCE (S.  Chandrashe-
                  kar) on the outside. 

                       Soon after the race, the Club's Veterinary Officer 
                  reported  that on examination it was observed that  the 
                  right hind shoe of DINESA (Vinod Shinde) had apparently 
                  come off during the race. 
        
                       LAVA (C. Krishnan) sustained a cut injury on  left 
                  fore fetlock. 
        
                       The  Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey  Ranjeet 
                  Singh, the rider of PERFECT RHYTHM to the Stewards  for 
                  unsatisfactory  riding on his mount in the above  race. 
                  The  Stewards held an enquiry after the last  race  and 
                  interviewed  Trainer  Mr.  S.  Padmanabhan  and  Jockey 
                  Ranjeet  Singh.  After deliberations, they  decided  to 
                  (a)  note the explanations tendered by trainer  Mr.  S. 
                  Padmanabhan; and (b) suspend Jockey Ranjeet Singh  from 
                  riding  in races from 5-8-2008 to 18-9-2008 (both  days 
                  inclusive)  for unsatisfactory riding (Rule  No.161(ii) 
                  on his mount PERFECT RHYTHM in the above race  (permit-
                  ted to ride work).
        
        6th Race:     168. The Nawab Sultan Ali Khan Memorial Plate -  
        12 Runners    (About) 1600 Metres. For Horses rated 40 to 65, 4,
                      5 and 6 years old.
        
                       As  Jockey  S.R. Bhagwat was  certified  medically 
                  unfit,  permission  was  granted to  trainer  Mr.  M.B. 
                  Mangalorkar  to substitute Jockey L. Marshall  to  ride 
                  ALGIERS  in place of Jockey S.R. Bhagwat  the  declared 
                  rider. 
        
                       Jockey  Md. Shafiq, the rider of MADAM  RICH,  was 
                  fined  Rs.3,000/- for not making sufficient  effort  on 
                  his mount during the race. 
        
                       SUAVE  (Ryan Marshall) sustained a cut  injury  on 
                  right fore fetlock. 
        
                       An  enquiry has been opened into the  running  and 
                  riding of ROYAL ALCHEMIST  trained by Mr. S.  Padmanab-
                  han and ridden by Jockey Wayne Smith.
        
        7th Race:     169. The Allied Forces Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. 
        10 Runners    For Horses rated 20 to 45, 4,5 and 6 years old.
        
                       BRAVE BHEEM (P.Mani) pulled up lame after the race 
                  on  right fore due to a sprained fetlock.  Trainer  Mr. 
                  Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness 
                  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
                  accepting with it again. 
        
                       KEMROCK (A. Velu) pulled up lame after the race on 
                  left  fore  due  to  a  sprained  tendon.  Trainer  Mr. 
                  J.S.Pillay  was informed that he must produce a Fitness 
                  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
                  accepting with it again. 
        
                       PROOF  OF TREASURE (K.P.G. Appu) burst  its  blood 
                  vessels  after  the race. Trainer Mr.  Amit  Caddy  was 
                  informed  that  he must produce a  Fitness  Certificate 
                  from  the  Club's Veterinary Officer  before  accepting 
                  with it again. 
       
                       STAR  IMAGE (Vinod Shinde) sustained a cut  injury 
                  on right hind.
        
        8th Race:     170. The Azhar Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. For  
        10 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
                       STAZA  STARRY  (L.  Marshall)  after  jumping  out 
                  swerved to the right and did not raise a fluent gallop.  
                  In  view of its behaviour trainer Mr.  Pradeep  Annaiah 
                  was  informed  that he must not accept  with  it  again 
                  until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the 
                  Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day  on 
                  the race track. 
        
                       CELESTIAL  TREASURE (B. Prakash) jumped  out  awk-
                  wardly  and  bumped THE COOL ONE (Md.  Shafiq)  on  its 
                  outside soon after jumping out of the gates. 
        
                       Jockey  Wayne Smith, the rider of MAN  UNITED  re-
                  ported that his mount was hanging `in' very badly after 
                  entering straight and he had considerable difficulty in 
                  keeping  his mount on an even course.  As a  result  it 
                  went  in  and inconvenienced TAKE MY WORD  (V.R.  Jaga-
                  deesh)  on  his inside during the final stages  of  the 
                  race.  Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to  get  it 
                  checked  by his Veterinarian and take appropriate  cor-
                  rective measures before accepting with it again. 
        
                       Jockey  Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of GARA  FLUID, 
                  was  fined  Rs.1,000/- for shifting  `in'  and  causing 
                  interference to TAKE MY WORD (V.R. Jagadeesh) approach-
                  ing the 300 Metres. 
        
                       CELESTIAL  TREASURE  (B.  Prakash)  inconvenienced 
                  PIED HARRIER (Suraj Narredu) on its inside  approaching 
                  the 700 Metres.
        
                       WORTH  A MILLION (M.J. Gautam Raj  Urs)  inconven-
                  ienced  ROYAL  ZEN (S. Chandrashekar)  on  its  outside 
                  rounding the bend. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f CELESTIAL TREASURE.
