        1st Race:     114. The Noble Princess Plate-(About) 1400 Metres.
         8 Runners    For horses rated 20 to 45.

        2nd Race:     115. The Royal Tern Plate-Div.II-(About)1200 Metres
         8 Runners    For horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5  & 6 years old. 
        
                       Jockey  C.  Alford, the rider  of  APPERTAIN,  was 
                  reprimanded  for not maintaining a straight  course  in 
                  the final stages of the race. 
        
                       Jockey  B. Prakash, the rider of  SAVANNAH  PRIDE, 
                  reported  that  his mount was  not  galloping  fluently 
                  approaching the 300 Metres and was coughing. 
        
                       Jockey  P.S. Chouhan, the rider of  ASTRO  FUTURE, 
                  reported   that  his  mount  was  running   erratically 
                  throughout the race and that he had considerable diffi-
                  culty  in  keeping it on an even course.   Trainer  Mr. 
                  Pradeep  Annaiah was informed to take appropriate  cor-
                  rective measures before accepting with it again. 
        
                       NICE  GUY (J.H. Christopher) burst its blood  ves-
                  sels  during the race.  Trainer Mr. B.  Prithviraj  was 
                  informed  that  he must produce a  Fitness  Certificate 
                  from  the  Club's Veterinary Officer  before  accepting 
                  with it again. 
        
                       SAVANNAH PRIDE (B. Prakash) sustained a cut injury 
                  on left hind tendon. 
        
        3rd Race:     116. The Kranji Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 
         9 Runners    For horses rated 00 to 25, 4, 5  & 6 years old. 
        
                       Trainer  Mr. Mahmood Khan was fined  Rs.500/-  for 
                  failing  to produce the declared colours at the  scales 
                  in  respect  of  his charge  GRACIAN   (Vinod  Shinde).  
                  Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were permit-
                  ted to be used. 
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Samar  Singh 
                  to  withdraw SILVER PARIS (Mohammed Shoaib) on  veteri-
                  nary  grounds  as  it was lame on  right  fore  due  to 
                  sprained knee.  He was informed that he must produce  a 
                  Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary  Officer 
                  before accepting with it again. 
        
                       SHE'S A DIAMOND (C.Krishnan) planted in the start-
                  ing gates and lost many lengths at the start.  In  view 
                  of  its behaviour trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was  informed 
                  that  he  must not accept with it again until  its  be-
                  haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary 
                  Stewards  in  one Mock Race on a race day on  the  race 
                  track.
        
                       Jockey C. Krishnan, the rider of SHE'S A  DIAMOND, 
                  was  fined Rs.1,000/- for the improper use of the  whip 
                  on his mount during the race. 
        
                       The  Stipendiary Stewards questioned  trainer  Mr. 
                  Warren Singh regarding the improved performance of  his 
                  charge  BUCK PASSER JUNIOR in the above race.   Trainer 
                  stated  that it was the first run after gelding  opera-
                  tion  and in the previous race the Jockey   missed  the 
                  start  and  in view of its behaviour he put a  pair  of 
                  blinkers and the gelding had shown a lot of improvement 
                  on  the track.  He further added that his charge had  a 
                  mock  race  with the blinkers.  His  explanations  were 
                  noted. 
        
                       Surprise  Sample was taken for analysis from  b  g

        4th Race:    117. The Kumararajah M.A.M.Muthiah Cup - (About)  
         8 Runners    1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
                       MUSIC  ON DEMAND (D. Patel) planted in  the  gates 
                  and lost many lengths at the start.  In view of its  of 
                  its  behaviour  trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy  was  informed 
                  that  he  must not accept with it again until  its  be-
                  haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary 
                  Stewards  in  one Mock Race on a race day on  the  race 
                  track. 
        
                       Jockey D. Patel, the rider of MUSIC ON DEMAND, was 
                  reprimanded  for dropping his hands before passing  the 
                  winning post. 
        
                       Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of LUMINOUS  GOLD, 
                  reported  that  his  mount was  hanging  `out'  in  the 
                  straight. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed to get it 
                  checked  by his Veterinarian and take appropriate  cor-
                  rective measures before accepting with it again. 
        
        5th Race:   118. The Camino Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden 
        10 Runners   Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run
                      at least thrice but not placed second, third or 
                      fourth even once ineligible) (terms).
        
                       As Jockey M.Ravi was certified medically unfit  to 
                  ride,   permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.  Gana-
                  pathy  to substitute Jockey  S. Babu to  ride  COMANCHE 
                  WAR  PAINT  in  place of Jockey M.  Ravi  the  declared 
                  rider.
        
                       SUPER  SHA (D. Gnaneshwar) jumped  awkwardly  out-
                  wards  and  inconvenienced STAR  SPEED  (Wayne  Smith), 
                  COMANCHE WAR PAINT (S. Babu), FAIR INVADER (S.  Ramesh) 
                  and  BEAUTY  (C. Krishnan) on the  outside  soon  after 
                  jumping out of the gates.
        
                       SUPER SHA (D. Gnaneshwar) veered out badly  during 
                  the  final stages of the race when the rider  used  the 
                  whip twice on it. In view of its behaviour trainer  Mr. 
                  S. Singh  was informed that he must not accept with  it 
                  again until its behaviour improved to the  satisfaction 
                  of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a  race 
                  day on the race track. 
        
                       OLYMPIC  KINGDOM  (P.S. Chouhan) burst  its  blood 
                  vessels after the race. Trainer Mr. Shehzad Abbas   was 
                  informed  that  he must produce a  Fitness  Certificate 
                  from  the  Club's Veterinary Officer  before  accepting 
                  with it again. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b g STAR SPEED. 
        
        6th Race:    119. The H.B. Gundappa Gowda Memorial Cup-(About)  
        10 Runners    1200 Metres. For horses rated 80 and above.
        
                       Jockey  Y.S.  Srinath, the rider of  PASTICHE  was 
                  fined  Rs.2,000/- for  shifting out and causing  inter-
                  ference to FANTABULOUS PRINCE (S. Chandrashekar) on his 
                  outside before passing the red marker post. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner ch h DIAMOND HUNTER.  
        
        7th Race:   120. The Fire Haven Plate - (About) 1100 Metres.  
         9 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run at least thrice but not placed second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
                       Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. S.  Narredu 
                  to  withdraw COVER UP on veterinary grounds as  it  was 
                  found  to  be  trotting lame on right hock  due  to  an 
                  traumatic injury. He was informed that he must  produce 
                  a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Offic-
                  er before accepting with it again.  
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy 
                  to withdraw RESPLENDENT ALPHA on veterinary grounds  as 
                  it was found to be lame on right fore due to  inflammed 
                  elbow.  He was informed that he must produce a  Fitness 
                  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
                  accepting with it again. 
        
                       FELICITAD  (Ranjeet  Singh) took a  fly  jump  and 
                  dislodged  the  rider  soon after jumping  out  of  the 
                  starting  gates.  In view of its behaviour trainer  Mr. 
                  S.  Padmanabhan  was informed that he must  not  accept 
                  with  it  again  until its behaviour  improved  to  the 
                  satisfaction  of the Stipendiary Stewards in  one  Mock 
                  Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
                       Jockey Md. Shafiq, the rider of PERFECT  ANALYSIS, 
                  was fined a total sum of  Rs.3,000/- for the  extravag-
                  ant, improper and the excessive use of the whip on  his 
                  mount during the race.
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner ch f DASH TO CASH. 
        
                       The  Stipendiary Stewards reported trainer Mr.  B. 
                  Prithviraj  to the Stewards for faulty saddling of  his 
                  charge PERFECT ANALYSIS (Md. Shafiq) in the above  race 
                  in that the saddle on his charge started shifting after 
                  passing  the 400 Metres and completely came  underneath 
                  the belly during the closing stages of the race whereby 
                  the  rider could not offer any assistance to his  mount 
                  in  the last 200 Metres thus contravening the  Calendar 
                  Notification under the heading ~saddling of horses~ and 
                  Rule  114(b)(i) read with Rule 166(b) of the BTC  Rules 
                  of Racing. The Stewards held an enquiry after the  last 
                  race on Saturday, 5th July 2008 and continued the  same 
                  after  the  last race on Sunday, 6th July  2008.   They 
                  interviewed  trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj and  Jockey  Md. 
                  Shafiq.  After  deliberations,  they  decided  to  fine 
                  trainer  Mr. B. Prithviraj Rs.10,000/- for faulty  sad-
                  dling  of  his charge PERFECT ANALYSIS.   The  Stewards 
                  further  decided to continue the enquiry pertaining  to 
                  the  evidence tendered by Jockey Md. Shafiq during  the 
                  above said enquiry. 
        
        8th Race:     121. The Royal Tern Plate-Div.I-(About)1200 Metres
         8 Runners    For horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5  & 6 years old. 
        
                       RAPID  RESPONSE  (Khushad Alam)  jumped  awkwardly 
                  outwards from the starting gates.

        1st Race:   105. The Tippu Sultan Cup-Div.II-(About) 1100 Metres.  
         9 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run at least thrice but not placed second, 
                       third or fourth even once ineligible) (terms).
        
             The  Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey K. Raja  Rao,  the 
        rider  of LUNAR ROYALE to the Stewards for careless riding  (Rule 
        No.161(i)  in that soon after the start he allowed his  mount  to 
        shift `out' thereby causing severe interference to THE ROLLS  (S. 
        Chandrashekar)  (drawn 3) and NEARCO DANCER (B.L. Paswan)  (drawn 
        4)  on his outside. The Stewards held an enquiry after  the  last 
        race  on Saturday, 5th July 2008 and interviewed Jockey  K.  Raja 
        Rao,  S. Chandrashekar and B.L. Paswan. After deliberations  they 
        decided  to suspend Jockey K. Raja Rao from riding in races  from 
        16-7-2008 to 27-7-2008 (both days inclusive) for careless  riding 
        (Rule  No.161(i)on  his  mount LUNAR ROYALE  in  the  above  race 
        (permitted to ride work).
        
        
             The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey S. John, the  rider 
        of  STAR  LEAGUE  to  the  Stewards  for  careless  riding  (Rule 
        No.161(i)  in that soon after the start he came `in' sharply  and 
        caused  severe interference to ONE FINE DAY (L. Marshall)  (drawn 
        5)  on  his inside which in turn passed it on  to  NEARCO  DANCER 
        (B.L. Paswan) (drawn 4)  further on the inside. The Stewards held 
        an  enquiry  after the last race on Saturday, 5th July  2008  and 
        interviewed Jockeys S. John and B.L. Paswan. After  deliberations 
        they decided to suspend Jockey S. John from riding in races  from 
        15-7-2008 to 16-7-2008 (both days inclusive) for careless  riding 
        (Rule  No.161(i)  on  his mount STAR LEAGUE  in  the  above  race 
        (permitted to ride work).
                       
        5th Race:   109. The Tippu Sultan Cup-Div.I-(About) 1100 Metres.  
        11 Runners   Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run at least thrice but not placed second,
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
        
             The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Suraj Narredu,  the 
        rider  of  DISTINCTLY AHEAD to the Stewards for  careless  riding 
        (Rule  No.161(i) in that approaching the 800 Metres he came  `in' 
        sharply  thereby causing severe interference to  ANOTHER  DESTINY 
        (P.S. Chouhan) on his inside which stumbled momentarily unbalanc-
        ing  the rider. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last  race 
        on Saturday, 5th July 2008 and interviewed Jockeys Suraj Narredu, 
        P.S. Chouhan and also Jockey A.Velu, the rider of SPICY STAR  who 
        was racing along the rails.  After deliberations they decided  to 
        suspend Jockey Suraj Narredu from riding in races from  15-7-2008 
        to  20-7-2008  (both  days  inclusive) and  fine  him  a  sum  of 
        Rs.5,000/-  for  careless riding (Rule No.161(i))  on  his  mount 
        DISTINCTLY AHEAD in the above race (permitted to ride work).
                
        7th Race:     111. The Chief Justice's Cup (Grade III) - 
        14 Runners    1800 Metres. For 4 years old and over.
        
             The  Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Wayne  Smith,  the 
        rider  of NOBLE PRINCE to the Stewards for violation of  Calendar 
        Notification pertaining to the use of whip in that he excessively 
        used  the whip on his mount in the above race. The Stewards  held 
        an  enquiry  after  the last race on Sunday, 6th  July  2008  and 
        interviewed Jockey Wayne Smith.  After deliberations they decided 
        to suspend Jockey Wayne Smith from riding in races from 16-7-2008 
        to 19-7-2008 (both days inclusive) for violation of Calendar  No-
        tification  pertaining to the use of whip in that he  excessively 
        used the whip on his mount NOBLE PRINCE (3rd infringement) in the 
        above race.
