        1st Race:     193. The Mystic Memory Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. 
         9 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
                      have run at least thrice but not placed second, 
                      third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms). 
        
                       Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of WAY TO  FANTA-
                  SY, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting `in' and  causing 
                  interference  to HEROIC FANTASY (Shobhan Babu)  on  his 
                  inside  which in turn passed it on to UNIQUE STAR  (Md. 
                  Shafiq) soon after jumping out of the starting gates. 
        
                       Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of TELEMACCHUS,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting `out' and causing  inter-
                  ference  to  ROYAL ZEN (P.S. Chouhan)  on  his  outside 
                  approaching the 900 Metres. 
        
                       Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of TELEMACCHUS,  was 
                  reprimanded  for  not  maintaining  a  straight  course 
                  approaching the 200 Metres. 
        
                       HEROIC  FANTASY (Shobhan Babu) pulled up  lame  on 
                  left  fore after the race.  Trainer Mr. S.  Inayathulla 
                  was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from  the 
                  Club's  Veterinary  Officer before  accepting  with  it 
                  again. 
        
                       WAY  TO FANTASY (A. Ashok Kumar) sustained  a  cut 
                  injury on right fore cannon. 
        
        2nd Race:     194. The Tokyo Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. For 
        11 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25, 4, 5 and 6 years old.
        
                       SHE'S  A DIAMOND (C.Krishnan) was  very  fractious 
                  before the start and refused to be stalled.  Under  the 
                  circumstances  it was permitted to be withdrawn  before 
                  coming under Starter's Orders.  
        
                       STAGELIGHT (J.H. Christopher) jumped awkwardly and 
                  inconvenienced  GAMPU  (S. Ramesh) on his  outside  and 
                  ASPIRING SEVEN (F.K. Shabuddin).
        
                       Jockey  S. Shiva Kumar, the rider of  FLYING  JET, 
                  was  fined  Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining  a  straight 
                  course before passing the red marker post. 
        
                       EVENING  RHAPSODY (Gaurav Sapra) sustained a  deep 
                  cut injury on right hind tendon and was lame after  the 
                  race  on right hind. Trainer Mr. G. Nityanand  was  in-
                  formed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate  from 
                  the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with  it 
                  again. 

                       ASPIRING  SEVEN  (F.K.  Shahbuddin)  sustained  an 
                  injury on left fore cannon.
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner dkb g ZAIOS.
        
        3rd Race:     195. The Track Lightning Trophy - (About) 1400  
        10 Runners    Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only
                         (Horses  who  have run at least thrice  but  not
                         placed second, third or fourth even once  ineli-
                         gible) (Terms). 
        
                       Jockey  Ryan Marshall, the rider of ELITE  EMPIRE, 
                  reported  that he could not get a clear run soon  after 
                  jumping  out of the starting gates due to the  crowding 
                  of the field. 
        
                       FLAIR QUEEN (S. Ramesh) was observed to be hanging 
                  `in'  in  the  straight.  Trainer Mr.  J.Babu  Rao  was 
                  informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take 
                  appropriate  corrective measures before accepting  with 
                  it again.  
        
                       Jockey  D.  Gnaneshwar, the rider of  CHINAB,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight  course 
                  during the early stages of the race. 
        
                       Jockey  K.P.G. Appu, the rider of SUN DEVICE,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for dropping his hands before  passing 
                  the winning post. 
        
                       SUN DEVICE (K.P.G. Appu) sustained a cut injury on 
                  right hind fetlock. 
        
                       YOU'RE  WONDERFUL  (P.S.  Chouhan)  sustained  gum 
                  injury.
        
                       The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey M. Narre-
                  du, the rider of FIREZONE to the Stewards for  careless 
                  riding (Rule No.161(i)) in that before passing the  red 
                  marker  post he came in and caused severe  interference 
                  to  LATVIA (Suraj Narredu) on his inside which in  turn 
                  passed  it  on to YOU'RE WONDERFUL  (P.S.Chouhan).  The 
                  Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and inter-
                  viewed  Jockeys  M.  Narredu, Suraj  Narredu  and  P.S. 
                  Chouhan.  After deliberations, they decided to  suspend 
                  Jockey  M. Narredu from riding in races from  18-8-2008 
                  to 22-8-2008 (both days inclusive) for careless  riding 
                  (Rule  No.161(i))  on his mount FIREZONE in  the  above 
                  race (permitted to ride work).
        
        4th Race:     196. The Lively Emprey Plate-(About) 2000 Metres.  
        10 Runners    For Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
                       Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was fined Rs.500/-  for 
                  making an error in the starting declaration in  respect 
                  of his charge MIND ME as regards shoeing 
        
                       ANGEL  FIELD (Vijay Kumar) planted and  lost  many 
                  lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour trainer 
                  Mr. N.A. Ponnappa was informed that he must not  accept 
                  with  it  again  until its behaviour  improved  to  the 
                  satisfaction  of the Stipendiary Stewards in  one  Mock 
                  Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
                       ATTATURK  (S. Shiva Kumar) could not get  a  clear 
                  run approaching the 550 Metres due to a closely  packed 
                  field. 
        
                       TOUCH OF MAGIC (B. Prakash) sustained a cut injury 
                  on right hind inner bulb of the heels.
        
                       ATTATURK  (S. Shiva Kumar) sustained a cut  injury 
                  on left fore.
        
        5th Race:     197. The V.T. Velu Memorial Cup-(About)1400 Metres. 
         8 Runners    For Horses rated 80 and above.
        
                       Trainer  Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/-  for 
                  failing  to produce the declared colours at the  scales 
                  in  respect  of his charge  SLAVIC.  Subsequently  `all 
                  black' emergency colours were permitted to be used. 
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar 
                  to  withdraw  PIED PIPER (P.S. Chouhan)  on  veterinary 
                  grounds as it was found to be suffering from colic.  He 
                  was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate 
                  from  the  Club's Veterinary Officer  before  accepting 
                  with it again. 
        
                       EINSTEIN  (Mohammed Shoaib) jumped  out  awkwardly 
                  and inconvenienced DANCING HIGHNESS (Wayne Smith)  soon 
                  after the start and the rider reported that he lost his 
                  left stirrup which he regained within a few strides. 
        
                       Jockey S. Shiva Kumar, the rider of JERSEY  PRIDE, 
                  was  reprimanded for shifting `in' and  inconveniencing 
                  STAR  WAVE (B. Prakash) on his inside  approaching  the 
                  1000 Metres.
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f STAR WAVE. 
        
        6th Race:     198. The Capricorn Stud Plate - Div.I-(About) 1200 
        10 Runners    Metres. For Horses rated 60 to 85, 4, 5 and 6 years
                       old.
        
                       Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of COLONEL DUFF, was 
                  reprimanded  for  not  maintaining  a  straight  course 
                  approaching the 350 Metres.
        
                       Jockey  I.A. Khan, the rider of CHIEF'S DREAM  was 
                  reprimanded for not exercising sufficient control  over 
                  his  mount  under the use of whip approaching  the  200 
                  Metres. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f TOP OF THE CLASS. 
        
        7th Race:     199. The Maj. Newton David Memorial Cup - (About) 
        11 Runners    1400 Metres. For Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
                       Jockey  Wayne  Smith, the rider  of  EQUIDAE,  was 
                  questioned  regarding the handling of his mount in  the 
                  presence  of  trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan.   The  Jockey 
                  stated that his mount stumbled within few strides after 
                  the start whereby he lost ground and it took  consider-
                  able time for the horse to gain momentum. After  gradu-
                  ally improving his position he gave a couple of  cracks 
                  while rounding the final bend whereby his mount shifted 
                  out  and later when he got an opening on the inside  he 
                  rode  out  but  could only finished  2nd.  The  trainer 
                  stated  that he was inclined to accept the  explanation 
                  of  the rider and added that he was satisfied with  his 
                  riding. Their explanations were noted. 
        
                       Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of ROYAL AMBER, 
                  was  fined  Rs.1,000/-  for shifting  out  and  causing 
                  interference  to  CART WHEEL (K.P.G. Appu)  approaching 
                  the 250 Metres. 
        
        8th Race:     200. The Capricorn Stud Plate - Div.II-(About) 1200 
        10 Runners    Metres. For Horses rated 60 to 85, 4, 5 and 6 years
                       old.
        
                       As Jockey Mohammed Shoaib was certified  medically 
                  unfit  after his ride in the 5th race,  permission  was 
                  granted  to  trainer Mr. N.A.  Ponnappa  to  substitute 
                  Jockey  F.K. Shahbuddin to ride INDIA SHINING in  place 
                  of Jockey Mohammed Shoaib the declared rider. 
        
                       Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of OLIVIA  VALERE, 
                  was  fined  Rs.3,000/- for shifting  `in'  and  causing 
                  severe interference to RIVER ISLAND (Ranjeet Singh)  on 
                  his inside before passing the red marker post. 
        
                       Jockey  R.  Ravi, the rider  of  PANCHAKSHARI  was 
                  fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting `out' and causing  inter-
                  ference to RIVER ISLAND (Ranjeet Singh) on his  outside 
                  soon  after the start and also before passing  the  red 
                  marker post. 
        
                       APPERTINI  (Wayne Smith) was found to be  trotting 
                  short  after  the  race on left fore  due  to  sprained 
                  tendon.  Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was informed that  he 
                  must  produce  a Fitness Certificate  from  the  Club's 
                  Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
                       OLIVIA VALERE (Suraj Narredu) sustained a deep cut 
                  injury on right fore fetlock. 
        
                       Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from dkb  g 
                  LOGANS RUN.

                       16th Day, Wednesday, 23rd July 2008
        3rd Race:   104. The Crystal Man Plate-Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres.
                          For Horses Rated 25 and below
        
             The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Melvyn Maseyk,  the 
        rider  of AAJA AAJA to the Stewards for not permitting his  mount 
        to  run  on its merits {Rule No.159(a)(b)} of the  BTC  Rules  of 
        Racing  in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry  on  Mon-
        day, 4th August 2008 and interviewed Trainer Mr. Pradeep  Annaiah 
        and  Jockey Melvyn Maseyk.  After deliberations, they decided  to 
        (a)  note  the explanations tendered by trainer Mr.  Pradeep  An-
        naiah;  and  (b) suspend the Jockey's licence granted  to  Melvyn 
        Maseyk  from  21-8-2008 to 26-10-2008 (both days  inclusive)  and 
        report  him to the Stewards of BTC Ltd., for further action,  and 
        not  permit him to ride work, for not permitting his  mount  AAJA 
        AAJA to run on its merits {Rule No.159(a)(b)} of the BTC Rules of 
        Racing in the above race.
        
        5th Race:  106. The Dhanushkoti Plate-Div.II-(About) 1400 Metres. 
                           For Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
             The  Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Vijay  Kumar,  the 
        rider of TIME IS PRECIOUS to the Stewards for violation of Calen-
        dar Notification under the heading "USE OF WHIPS" read with  Rule 
        No.166(a)  of  the BTC Rules of Racing in excessively  using  the 
        whip  on  his  mount in the above race  (3rd  infringement).  The 
        Stewards  held an enquiry  on Monday, 4th August 2008 and  inter-
        viewed Jockey Vijay Kumar.  After deliberations, they decided  to 
        suspend  Jockey Vijay Kumar from riding in races from   14-8-2008 
        to  21-8-2008  (both days inclusive) for  violation  of  Calender 
        Notification  under  the heading "USE OF WHIPS"  read  with  Rule 
        NO.166(a)  of  the BTC Rules of Racing in excessively  using  the 
        whip  on  his mount TIME IS PRECIOUS in the above race  (3rd  in-
        fringement) (permitted to ride work).
