1st Race: 201. The Champion Trainer Cup - Div.II-(About) 1200
11 Runners Metres. For Horses rated 20 to 45.
Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of BAFFLED, report-
ed that his mount was hanging `in' in the last 200
Metres. Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed to get
it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate
corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey C. Krishnan, the rider of SABARI,was
severely reprimanded for travelling wide throughout the
race for no apparent reason.
BRAVE ARJUN (P. Mani) sustained an injury on right
hind fetlock.
2nd Race: 202. The Leading Tipster Cup - (About) 1400 Metres.
12 Runners For Horses rated 00 to 25.
Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was fined Rs.500/- for
making an error in the starting declaration in respect
of his charge BID FOR GLORY as regards shoeing.
Jockey Vivek, the rider of REDSHIFT, reported that
his mount was running green in the straight. Trainer
Mr. Narayan Gowda was informed to get it checked by his
Veterinarian and take appropriate remedial measures
before accepting with it again.
Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of ROYAL ARTIST,
was fined Rs.2,000/- for repeatedly changing course in
the straight.
CASPIANSEA (J.H. Christopher) pulled up lame on
left fore after the race. Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was
informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate
from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting
with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner b f BID FOR GLORY.
3rd Race: 203. The Leading Bookmaker Cup-(About) 1200 Metres.
12 Runners Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who
have run at least thrice but not placed second,
third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms).
Jockey Harish, the rider of SPARK OF CLASS, was
fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting `out' and causing inter-
ference to SUPERLATIVO (A. Ashok Kumar) on his outside
soon after the start.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of RAY OF SUNSHINE,
was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting `in' and causing
interference to UNSEEDED STAR (Wayne Smith) on his
inside soon after the start.
NEARCO DANCER (B.L. Paswan) planted and lost many
lengths in the start. In view of its behaviour trainer
Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must not accept
with it again until its behaviour improved to the
satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock
Race on a race day on the race track.
The Stipendiary Stewards questioned trainer Mr.
S.S. Attaollahi and Jockey Ashok Kumar regarding the
running and riding of SUPERLATIVO. The trainer stated
that the horse had a very sensitive mouth and would
throw its head up very easily. He also stated that to
avoid that he was working the horse with the Australian
gag. The Jockey corroborated the statement made by the
trainer. The trainer was informed to take appropriate
remedial measures before accepting with it again.
FESTINO (Md. Shafiq) sustained an injury on left
hind fetlock.
4th Race: 204. The Champion Jockey Cup - Div.II-(About) 1400
11 Runners Metres. For Horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 and 6 years
old.
SPREAD A SMILE (B. Sreekanth) planted and lost
many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour
trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must not
accept with it again until its behaviour improved to
the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one
Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Jockey F.K. Shabuddin, the rider of LIFE IS WON-
DERFUL, was fined Rs.2,000/- for the improper use of
the whip on his mount during the race.
QUEENS COMPOSER (K. Narasimha) pulled up lame
after the race on left fore. Trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar
was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate
from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting
with it again.
5th Race: 205. The Champion Trainer Cup - Div.I-(About) 1200
11 Runners Metres. For Horses rated 20 to 45.
RAPID RESPONSE (B. Sreekanth) swerved towards the
left and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its
behaviour trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed that he
must not accept with it again until its behaviour
improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Ste-
wards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Jockey J.H.Christopher, the rider of ATLANTUS, was
fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting `in' and causing severe
interference to SUPREME SPLENDOUR (B. Prakash) on his
inside before passing the red marker post.
Jockey Wayne Smith, the rider of MAN UNITED re-
ported that his mount was hanging `in' thorughout the
race and as such he could not offer sufficient assis-
tance to his mount. Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was in-
formed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take
appropriate corrective measures before accepting with
it again.
ARABIAN MEMORIES (Md. Shafiq) sustained gum in-
jury.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner ch g SPARK OF GOLD.
6th Race: 206. The Governor's Cup - (Grade III) -(About) 2400
7 Runners Metres. For 4 years old and over (Terms).
Trainer Mr. M.B. Mangalorkar was fined Rs.500/-
for making an error in the declaration of weight in
respect of his charge ALEKONA.
Trainer Mr. Nosher Cama was fined Rs.500/- for
making an error in the declaration of weight in respect
of his charge GRUEZI.
Trainer Mr.S.Padmanabhan was fined Rs.500/- for
making an error in the declaration of weight in respect
of his charge SOUTHERN CHARGE.
Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from
the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

As Jockey Mohammed Shoaib was certified medically
unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. M.
Eshwer to substitute Jockey Ranjeet Singh to ride READ
MY MIND in place of Jockey Mohammed Shoaib the declared
rider.
Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of CANNAVARO,
reported that he lost his whip approaching the 450
Metres.
Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of CANNAVARO, was
severely reprimanded for using his hand on the horse
when he did not have the aid of the whip in the final
stages of the race.

SUPREME QUEST (S. Shiva Kumar) jumped awkwardly
outwards from the gates.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of LIGHTNIN BLUES,
was severely reprimanded for not persevering with his
mount during the final stages of the race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner b f BADDA RUPAIYYA.
9th Race: 209. The Leading Owner Cup-Div.II-(About) 1200
11 Runners Metres. For Horses rated 40 to 65, 4, 5 and 6 years
old.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Samar Singh
to substitute Jockey B.L. Paswan to ride SMART N SPE-
CIAL in place of Jockey Mohammed Shoaib the declared
rider.
Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of DARKTAN was fined
Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to
FACTION LEADER (Shobhan Babu) before passing the red
marker post.

Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of KORPORATE was fined
Rs.3,000/- by the Stewards for the excessive, improper and ex-
travagant use of the whip on his mount during the Mock Race run
on the 24th Day, Friday, 1st August 2008 after the last race.

Race No.110: The B. Khanna Memorial Cup-Div.I-(About) 1200
Metres. For Horses rated 40 to 65, 4,5 and 6 years old.
An enquiry was held into the relative performance of IN THE
ZONE trained by Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar and ridden by Jockey K.P.G.
Appu. After due enquiry the explanations tendered by trainer and
Jockey were noted.
Race No.112. The Manjri Stud Plate-(About) 1600 Metres. For
horses rated 60 to 85.
An enquiry was held into the relative performance of VAN DE
STAR trained by Mr. Irfan Ghatala and ridden by Jockey Vinod
Shinde. After due enquiry the explanations tendered by trainer
and Jockey were noted.
