RACING INCIDENTS
(18 - 24)

 

Going : Good Penetrometer Reading : 4.9 Cms.

(False Rails : Average width of 4.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres and 9 Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning Post.)

1st Race : 18. The Lady Gibraltar Plate-Div-II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45. (12 Runners).

PRINCELY GESTURE (S. Chandrashekar) shied inwards soon after jumping out and rolled on to MERCUTIO (A. Ashhad Asbar) which in turn caused interference to SUGRIV (C. Krishnan) unbalancing the rider and causing it to shift in and further interfering with COMANCHE WAR PAINT (K. Raja Rao) which had to check and fall back causing CLEAR PEARL (Harsha.N) and MIGHTY PRINCE (B. Mukesh Kumar) travelling behind to check.
Jockey S.Chandrashekar was fined Rs.2,000/- for the above interference .

Approaching the 1200 Metres Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar (MERCUTIO) shifted in gradually causing interference to SUGRIV (C. Krishnan) which in turn passed it on to COMANCHE WAR PAINT (K. Raja Rao) thereby unbalancing the rider and crashing into the rails resulting in CLEAR PEARL (Harsha N.) checking badly and shifting out violently.
Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar was fined Rs.2,000/- for the above interference.

PRINCELY GESTURE (S. Chandrashekar) sustained an injury on right shoulder (haematoma).

2nd Race: 19. The Heir Apparent Trophy-(About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run atleast thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) - Terms (12 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was fined Rs.500/- for not producing the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge MAGNIFIQUE (S. Mallikarjun). Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.

Jockey A. Velu, the rider of CARNIVAL OF JOY, was reprimanded for trotting his horse on the main track before reaching the starting gates.

Jockey Wayne Smith, the rider of REAPING REWARD, reported that his mount jumped out sharply towards the left.

Jockey Md. Shafiq, the rider of YES WE CAN, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing MAGNIFIQUE (S. Mallikarjun) to roll on to LUSH LASHES (S. John) which shifted in causing STAR BRIGHT (Vivek) to check along the rails approaching the 1000 Metres.

Jockey S. John, the rider of LUSH LASHES, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not maintaining a straight course in that he inconvenienced TICKET TO RIDE (C. Alford) approaching the 200 Metres and again just before the winning post wherein Jockey C. Alford (TICKET TO RIDE) had to check and fall back. .

3rd Race: 20. The Astounding Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over. (12 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was fined Rs.500/- for presenting SIMPLY DANGEROUS without a tongue strap for which prior permission had been obtained. Subsequently tongue strap was put on SIMPLY DANGEROUS before leaving the paddock.

Jockey P. Ramesh, the rider of SPARKLING ADVENTURE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in sharply and causing interference to ROYAL HERO (Khurshad Alam) soon after jumping out of the gates.

Jockey I.A. Khan, the rider of NON STOP CANNON, was fined Rs.2,000/- for the improper use of whip on his mount during the race.

Jockey A Velu, rider of KEMROCK was fined Rs. 1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to ROYAL HERO (Khurshad Alam) approaching the 900 Metres.

Jockey I.A. Khan, the rider of NON STOP CANNON, was reprimanded for weighing in 600 grams in excess of the weight which he had weighed out.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g IMMORTAL.

4th Race : 21. The Lady Gibraltar Plate-Div-I-(About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45. (10 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar to withdraw SPARK OF SOLITAIRE on veterinary grounds at 8.35 a.m. on 22nd May 2009 as it was found to be trotting lame on left hind due to sprained stifle. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey N.S. Parmar, the rider of JIA YOH JIA YOH, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Jockey Md. Shafiq, the rider of FLY FOR SURE , was fined Rs.3,000/- for not persevering with his mount from 350 Metres to 100 Metres.

Jockey S.R. Santosh Kumar, the rider of SUNNY CONNEXION, was fined Rs.1,000/- for dropping hands in the final 50 Metres of the race.

Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of CLOUSEAU, reported that his mount was stopping in the final 100 Metres resulting in it dropping back sharply. Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was questioned and he stated that

(a) he thought that his horse was ingenuine (always on board but not winning)

(b) may be the underfoot condition of the track was not suiting it (4.9 Cms)

© the horse worked well and he thought it should have performed better. The explanations of the trainer was noted.

Jockey Mukesh Kumar, the rider of ABOVE THE LINE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for breaking away from the field and taking an unduly long lead between the 800 Metres and 500 Metres.

On examination, the Veterinary Officer reported that FLY FOR SURE (Md. Shafiq) was found to have sharp molars on either side of upper and lower jaws and sustained a bleeding cut injury on ride fore cannon. Trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was fined Rs.2,000/- and was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c KRIPA.

5th Race: 22. The Police Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses
rated 40 to 65. (12 Runners).

Shortly after the start ATLANTUS (V.R.Jagdeesh) was squeezed between VAYUPUTRA (G.Y.Rajesh Babu) and GOOD COMPANION (Shobhan Babu), thereby losing ground.

In continuation to the above interference ATLANTUS (V.R. Jagdeesh) shifted out and at the same time GOOD COMPANION (Shobhan Babu) shifts in causing HALL MARK (Harish) to check and fall back. Since the above incident was accidental no further action was taken.

HALL MARK (Harish) sustained cut injury on left fore both bulbs of heel.

6th Race: 23. The Dupont Plate - (About) - 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (12 Runners)

Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was questioned regarding the discontinuation of the tongue strap on his charge REDFORD in that in Race No.7 the horse sported the tongue strap and won with it. The trainer stated that his charge tends to loaf once it gets into the lead and that was the reason why he had removed the tongue strap for this race. He further added that he would not change the pattern of running of his charge in future.
In furtherance to the above explanation, an enquiry has been opened into the dismal performance of REDFORD in the above race.

EL GORDO (M.Narredu) planted and took no practical part in the race. In view of its behaviour, trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

SPARK OF ELEGANCE (I.Chisty) whipped around after jumping out and took no part in the race. In view of its behaviour, trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey S. John, the rider of CONCEPTUAL, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

7th Race: 24. The Astounding Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over. (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Puttanna to withdraw BEAUTY on veterinary ground at 5.45 p.m. on 21st May 2009 as it was found to have an inflamed poll area due to a blunt injury. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was fined Rs.1,000/- for not obtaining prior permission to take his charge YAMAGUCHI to the starting gates in advance of the reminder of the field, as per the General Condition 20 of the Prospectus of Bangalore Summer Meeting 2009.

Jockey Khurshad Alam, the rider of SHEER GOLD,was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to YAMAGUCHI (Gaurav Sapra) approaching the 400 Metres.

Jockey A Ramana, ride of GIFTOFACHIEVEMENT was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing FLIP YOUR DESTINY (S Chandrashekar) at the 400 Metres.

Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of YAMAGUCHI, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Jockey Shadab Khan, the rider of ACT OF DUTY, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not exercising sufficient control over his mount under the use of whip thereby allowing it to first drift out at about 450 whilst using the whip on the right and then again drifting in from the outer strip of the grass track to the railing in the final 300 Metres of the race whilst using the whip on the right.

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of GIVE ME THE MONEY reported that his mount was not galloping freely throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination at 6.00 p.m. it was found to be trotting lame on left fore due to sprained knee. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from dk b m GIVE ME THE MONEY.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f SHEER GOLD.

An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of GIVE ME THE MONEY (P.S. Chouhan) and YAMAGUCHI (Gaurav Sapra) trained by Mr. Amit Caddy.
