1st Race: 88. The Beautiful Babe Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400
Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over
(9 Runners).

Jockey N.S. Parmar, the rider of STAGELIGHT, reported that his mount was hanging in, in the straight. Trainer Mr. Mohd. A. Abbas was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of WHISPER VALLEY, reported that his mount was hanging `out' in the straight. Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m SOUTHERN MAGIC.

2nd Race: 89. The Bergamo Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres.
Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners).

Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was fined Rs.2,000/- for not taking the consent of Jockey G. Vijay to ride his charge AIM TO WIN in the above race.

Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of FLIP YOUR DESTINY, reported that he lost his right stirrup iron at the start and regained it in a few strides.

Jockey A.M. Tograllu, the rider of WINGED LIGHT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to TOUCH OF SILK (Md. Shafiq) approaching the 800 Metres.

Jockey S. John, the rider of SPARK OF OLDENBURG, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and bumping MIGHTY PRINCE (B. Mukesh Kumar) in the last 25 Metres.

Jockey B. Mukesh Kumar, the rider of MIGHTY PRINCE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dkb g SPARK OF OLDENBURG.

3rd Race: 90. The Bukit Timah Plate-(About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over.
(9 Runners).

Jockey Md. Shafiq, the rider of UNIQUE STAR, was questioned regarding the riding instructions. He stated that:

(a) he was asked to ride from the 4th/5th position and not to go to the front and do his best in the straight;
(b) his mount took a fly jump and that was the reason why he could not follow the trainer's instructions and thereafter did his best in the straight, but his mount packed up in the final 200 Metres;
(c) even when he rode in Bangalore Winter Meeting in Race No.157 which was over 1200 Metres he was asked to ride from 4th/5th position but could not hold his mount back since it had a hard mouth.

After viewing the CCTV and after having confirmed the way the horse had jumped out being the reason for the jockey not able to follow the Trainers instructions the Jockey's explanations were noted.

Jockey Amarpreet Singh, the rider of DIAMOND SHOWER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to MEXIKAN WAVE
(V.R. Jagadeesh) approaching the 250 Metres.

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of MEXIKAN WAVE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from ch g PRINCE NORBERT.

An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of PRINCE NORBERT trained by Mr. B. Puttanna and ridden by Jockey C. Krishnan.

4th Race: 91. The Paddiwick Plate-(About) 1200 Metres.
Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (11 Runners).

Trainer Mr. L.V.R.Deshmukh was fined Rs.500/- for the delay in submitting the Scratching Form in respect of his charge SIPH SALAR.

Trainer Mr. L.V.R.Deshmukh was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge LONE RANGER. Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.

ALPHA BABY (C. Alford) dislodged the rider on the way to the starting gates and also after being held at the gates while loading ALPHA BABY bolted out of the gates and ran round the course riderless. Hence it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders.

Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of RUSSIAN DANCER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to STILL WILL (Shoban Babu) soon after the start.

Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of RUSSIAN DANCER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to SHUBHA (C. Krishnan) approaching the 800 Metres.

Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of CLASSIC COMMANDER, reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge RUSSIAN DANCER.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c SHOTGUN.

5th Race: 92. The Stewards Cup-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses
rated 80 and above (9 Runners).

SPIRITUALL (N.S. Parmar) took a fly jump and lost a few lengths. As the horse had jumped out well on earlier occasions, trainer Mr. P.Shroff was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two jump outs on starting gate practice days.

Jockey N.S. Parmar, the rider of SPIRITUALL, was fined Rs.5,000/- for shifting in and causing severe interference to CART WHEEL (Imran Chisty) which had to check and fall back and refused to raise a gallop thereafter approaching the 300 Metres.

Jockey N.S. Parmar, the rider of SPIRITUALL, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 100 Metres.

6th Race: 93. The Beautiful Babe Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400
Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over
(9 Runners).

Jockey Harish, the rider of FREE GLIDER, reported that his mount stumbled soon after the start.

Jockey Stephane Breux, the rider of AMAZING FLORA (drawn 3), was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and tightening the field on the outside viz. EVENT HORIZON (C. Harish - drawn 4), HIDALGO (S. Chandrashekar - drawn 5) and PAINT ME RED (N.S. Parmar - drawn 6) soon after the start.

Jockey N.S. Parmar, the rider of PAINT ME RED shifted in gradually towards the rails and in the process of avoiding brushing into the false rails got momentarily unbalanced approaching the 1200 Metres.

7th Race: 94. The Colts Trial Stakes - (Grade I) - (About)
1600 Metres. For 3-years-old Indian Colts &
Geldings (Foaled in 2006) (13 Runners).

Jockey C.Alford, the rider of ABOLINE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and bumping LEONARDO (Imran Chisty) which had to shift out sharply causing ALACRITY (C.Rajendra) which was travelling behind to also shift out approaching the 1300 Metres.

Jockey M. Narredu, the rider of SPRINT STAR, weighed in 600 grms in excess of the weight he had weighed out. On questioning the Jockey reported that the girth had been changed after weighing out and also that the horse was sweating profusely. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was fined Rs.2,000/- for changing the girth after weighing out without informing to the Stipendiary Stewards.

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

Compulsory Sample was taken for analysis from b g D'ARTAGNAN.

8th Race: 95. The Brig. R.C.R. Hill Memorial Trophy-(About)
1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and
over. (11 Runners).

Jockey M. Madhu Babu, the rider of SUPERYACHT, had to travel wide rounding the final bend due to the crowding of the field.

Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of NOBLE KINGDOM, reported that his mount was hanging in, in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. The Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sharp molars on either side of buccal cavity. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence.

Jockey M. Madhu Babu, the rider of SUPERYACHT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

ANNA'S QUEST (Ryan Marshall) sustained bleeding cut injury on her right knee.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ALGIERS.

9th Race: 96. The Bergamo Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres.
Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).

SPARK OF SOLITAIRE (R. Rupesh) was fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's Orders.

CASPIAN SEA (S. Mallikarjun) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped CARIBBEAN PIRATE (Gaurav Sapra) soon after the start.

Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of CARIBBEAN PIRATE, reported that as his mount was very keen all through the race and as he was unable to control his mount he inconvenienced MERCUTIO (Imran Chisty) from 1000 Metres to 600 Metres. CARIBBEAN PIRATE was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination, the Veterinary Officer reported that it had pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. G. Nityanand was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

36. The Bhishma Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey P. Ramesh, the rider of YES I CAN to the Stewards for improper riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in that he rode improperly looking behind (inside) after passing the 600 Metres and then allowed his mount to shift out thereby presenting an unimpeded passage to CHINTZ (Suraj Narredu) on his inside. The Stewards held an enquiry on 20th June 2009 and interviewed Jockey P. Ramesh. After deliberations, they decided to:

(a) suspend Jockey P. Ramesh from riding in races from 1-7-2009 to 2-7-2009 (both days inclusive) for improper riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount YES I CAN in the above race (permitted to ride work)

(b) fine him a sum of Rs.2,500/-

74. The Ich Dien Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of MISS EVERYWHERE to the Stewards for indifferent handling (Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in that as the rider of MISS EVERYWHERE he rode in an indifferent manner in the contrasting lack of vigour he displayed on his mount over the final 225 Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry on 21-6-2009 after the last race and interviewed Trainer Mr. L.V.R. Deshmukh and Jockey Imran Chisty. After deliberations, they decided to:

(a) note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. L.V.R. Deshmukh

(b) suspend Jockey Imran Chisty from riding in races from 1-7-2009 to 5-7-2009 (both days inclusive) on his mount MISS EVERYWHERE in the above race (permitted to ride work).




75. The Justice P. Medapa Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey G. Vijay, the rider of GRIS RAPIDE to the Stewards for improper riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in that after losing his right stirrup iron at the start he allowed his mount to shift out significantly interfering with LITTLE SPLENDOUR (T. Rahul) and SENORA ENCIMA (Ryan Marshall). The Stewards held an enquiry on 20-6-2009 and interviewed Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah, Spokesman for Jockey G. Vijay and Jockey Vijay himself. After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey G. Vijay from riding in races from 1-7-2009 to 2-7-2009 (both days inclusive) for improper riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount GRIS RAPIDE in the above race (permitted to ride work).

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey G. Vijay, the rider of GRIS RAPIDE to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in that he shifted in approaching the 375 Metres and caused severe interference to KRIPA (Harish) who had to check his mount. The Stewards held an enquiry on 20-6-2009 and interviewed Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah, Spokesman for Jockey G. Vijay and Jockey Vijay himself. After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey G. Vijay from riding in races from 4-7-2009 to 5-7-2009 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount GRIS RAPIDE in the above race (permitted to ride work).

26. The H.H. Maharaja Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club Gold
Trophy-(About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 25 and below.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their meeting held on 20th June 2009 considered the appeal dated 17-6-2009 filed by trainer Mr. S. Santosh Rao against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club in fining him a sum of Rs.10,000/- for the reversal of form of his charge MAHSEER. They interviewed trainer Mr. S. Santosh Rao. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to reject the appeal filed by trainer Mr. S. Santosh Rao and the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- deposited by him be forfeited.

54. The Koramangala Plate-(About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their meeting held on 20th June 2009 considered the appeal dated 17-6-2009 filed by Jockey D. Gnaneshwar against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club in suspending him from 21-6-2009 to 28-6-2009 for misconduct (Rule No.101 of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his charge OUR LITTLE SAVAGE. They interviewed Jockeys D. Gnaneshwar and S. Chandrashekar. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to partially modify the punishment given to Jockey D. Gnaneshwar as under:

(a) To suspend him from riding in races from 1-7-2009 to 2-7-2009 (both days inclusive) on his mount OUR LITTLE SAVAGE in the above race (permitted to ride work) and

(b) To fine him a sum of Rs.5,000/-
