1st Race: 137. The Chennai Cup - (About) 2200 Metres.
Horses rated 40 to 65 (5 Runners).

VIVACITY (Imran Chisty) was observed to be in season.

Jockey C. Rajendra, the rider of PELIKANO, was severely reprimanded for shifting in and tightening the horses on his inside in spite of his best efforts to keep it out approaching the 200 Metres.

2nd Race: 138. The Mysore Cup - (About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).

NEARCO DANCER (T.Rahul) stood flatfooted losing a few lengths. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

Jockey T.Rahul, the rider of NEARCO DANCER, was fined Rs.2,000/- for bumping JIA YOH JIA YOH (M.A. Milan) approaching the 400 Metres and for shifting in and causing interference to AGILITY (C. Alford) passing the 100 Metres.

Jockey Y.S.Srinath, the rider of ACT OF DUTY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to DRAMATIC DANCER (V.R. Jagadeesh) approaching the 300 Metres.

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of GLORY TO DANCER, was reprimanded for repeatedly looking back during the final stages of the race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g GLORY TO DANCER.

3rd Race: 139. The Mumbai Cup-Div.II- (About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 60 to 85 (9 Runners).

ROYAL TREASURE (Wayne Smith) jumped out and shifted in causing inconvenience to LUCKYNUMBERSLEVIN (P.S. Chouhan) and CHINTZ (Suraj Narredu) soon after the start.

EL PASO (Imran Chisty) shifts in approaching the 1200 Metres causing severe interference to ROYAL TREASURE (Wayne Smith) on his inside.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Imran Chisty to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount EL PASO. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey Imran Chisty. After deliberations they decided to suspend Jockey Imran Chisty from 22-7-2009 to 26-7-2009 (both days inclusive) for careless riding and levy a fine of Rs.3,000/- for violation of Rule No.167(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing in that he failed to inform the Stipendiary Stewards that his horse was hanging in.

4th Race: 140. The Hyderabad Cup - (About) 1200 Metres.
Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who
have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or
fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to withdraw GLITTERATO (Imran Chisty) on veterinary grounds as it was examined at 9.30 a.m. on 12th July 2009 and was found to be trotting lame on right fore due to an inflamed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey S. John, the rider of ALPHA BABY, reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight thereby inconveniencing SHE'S A LADY (Neeraj Rawal) and YOURE A STUD (A. Velu) approaching the 250 Metres. Trainer Mr. J.S. Jhariwal was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey Ms.Lisa Jones, the rider of AFRICAN SKY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for inconveniencing ATAHUALPA (Harish) soon after jumping out of the starting gates

SHE'S A LADY (Neeraj Rawal) shifts in and causes interference to ALPHA BABY (S. John) approaching the 200 Metres.

Jockey A Velu, the rider of YOURE A STUD, was questioned regarding his riding. The Jockey stated that as soon as he jumped out the horse was inclined to hang in and he was trying to keep it on a straight course and in the straight he received interference from the horse on the inside after which he rode out the horse. Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was also questioned. The trainer stated that he had asked Jockey A. Velu to ride from 5th/6th position and ride out the horse in the straight and to take it easy and not hussle it as the horse was running after a long gap. After considering the evidence tendered by the Jockey and the trainer and after deliberations, the Stipendiary Stewards decided to (a) fine Jockey A. Velu Rs.5,000/- for unsatisfactory riding on his mount YOURE A STUD in the above race (b) fine trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah Rs.5,000/- for unsatisfactory running of his charge YOURE A STUD in the above race.

Jockey S. Chandrashekar, the rider of MYSTERE, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.

Jockey Ms. Lisa Jones was questioned regarding the riding on AFRICAN SKY with specific reference to her riding in the last 300 Metres. The Jockey stated that she was asked to ride from the front and do her best in the straight. She also stated that the horse was very keen in the initial stages and in the last 100 Metres she did her best. Her explanations were noted.

5th Race: 141. The Delhi Cup - Div.I - (About) 1600 Metres.
Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old & over (11 Runners).

Jockey Gaurav Sapra was fined Rs.2,000/- for accepting two rides in the same race.

Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the Starting Declaration in respect of his charge WIN PRETTYBADY (R. Hughes) as regards shoeing.

CLOUSEAU (Ryan Marshall) sustained bruising injuries on left hind cannon.

SUNNY CONNEXION (M.J. Gautam Raj Urs) sustained a cut injury on right hock.

6th Race: 142. The Kingfisher Derby Bangalore (Grade I) (About)
- 2000 Metres. For 3 year old Indian Horses (foaled in
- 2006) (Terms) (18 Runners).

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

JACQUELINE (M. Narredu) sustained cut injuries on right fore tendon and cannon.

7th Race: 143. The Mumbai Cup-Div.I- (About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 60 to 85 (9 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr.Irfan Ghatala to substitute Jockey G.Vijay in place of the declared rider.

8th Race: 144. The Kolkata Cup-(About) 1800 Metres. Horses
rated 80 and above (9 Runners).

CALLISTA (Ryan Marshall) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g SPARK OF GOLD.

9th Race: 145. The Delhi Cup - Div.II - (About) 1600 Metres.
Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old & over (10 Runners).

Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of SUPER SPEAR, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in approaching the 700 Metres causing TABLE MOUNTAIN (S. John) to check and fall back resulting in PAINT ME RED (Neeraj Rawal) to shift out and cause interference to SANSFRANCISCO GIRL (Imran Chisty) on its outside.

Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of PAINT ME RED, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to SANFRANCISCO GIRL (Imran Chisty) approaching the 600 Metres.

SUPER SPEAR (B. Sreekanth) sustained bleeding gum injury.

PAINT ME RED (Neeraj Rawal) sustained a cut injury on left hind gaskin.
