1st Race: 153. The Parsiana Plate - (About) 1600 Metres.
Horses rated 20 to 45 (7 Runners).

As Jockey Ryan Marshall was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi to substitute Jockey Gaurav Sapra to ride SHERMAN in place of the declared rider.

ZAMBEZI SUN (Suraj Narredu) played up in the gates, both fore caught across the gates thereafter on the side bar for a significant period of time. The horse was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's Order.

Jockey M.J. Gautam Raj Urs, the rider of I FANCY YOU, was reprimanded for inconveniencing MIND ME (S. Chandrashekar) approaching the 600 Metres.

SHERMAN (Gaurav Sapra) was observed to have splayed his right fore shoe.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g FLEET INDIAN.

2nd Race: 154. The Esquire Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres.
Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who
have run at least thrice but not placed second, third
or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (11 Runners).

Jockey Stephane Breux, the rider of APPOLONAIRE, reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight. On veterinary examination it was found to have injuries on the tongue. Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan (deputizing for trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad) was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

3rd Race: 155. The Lt.Col. Gaunt Memorial Trophy - (About)
1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (8 Runners).

Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the Starting Declaration in respect of his charge STAR ASSEMBLY as regards shoeing.

KRIPA (Harish) sustained bleeding gum injury.

Jockey Wayne Smith, the rider of FROZEN FIRE was fined Rs.3,000/- for forcing a passage between SPARK OF SOLITAIRE (S. John) and SOCIAL CLIMBER (Stephens Bruex) passing the 350 Metres causing SOCIAL CLIMBER to check.

Jockey S John, the rider of SPARK OF SOLITAIRE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to FROZEN FIRE (Wayne Smith) approaching the 300 Metres.

4th Race: 156. The Bangalore St.Ledger (Grade II) - (About) 2800 Metres. For 4 year old Indian Horses (foaled in 2005) (Terms) (5 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to substitute Jockey Neeraj Rawal to ride ONE in place of the declared rider.

Jockey M Narredu, the rider of SPARK OF GOLD, reported that he had to check from CONCEPTUAL (S John) near the 2250 metres.

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

Jockey S. John, the rider of CONCEPTUAL, was fined Rs.3,000/- for exulting before passing the Winning Post.

5th Race: 157. The Chettinad Stud Plate - (About) 1200
Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (9 Runners).

BEE QUICK (Neeraj Rawal) jumped awkwardly bumping MIGHTY HEART (Suraj Narredu) then shifted in bumping PANCHAKSHARI (Md. Shafiq).

Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of OWN VOICE, was reprimanded for shifting in and crowding MIGHTY HEART (Suraj Narredu) and CART WHEEL (S. John) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres.

Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of ON A ROLL, was fined Rs.1,000/- for travelling wide for no apparent reason while rounding the final bend.

CART WHEEL (S John) shifted out and bumped CANNAVARO (M Mark) approaching the 150 Metres

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f BEE QUICK.

6th Race: 158. The Astronomic Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over
(12 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi (deputizing on behalf of trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal) to substitute Jockey S. John to ride SEVEN STAR in place of the declared rider.

SUDDEN THUNDER (Shobhan Babu) planted and took no practical part in the race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

SUN DEVICE (S. Chandrashekar) did not raise a fluent gallop. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two Mock Races on race days on the race track.

SPARKING ADVENTURE (Harish) was observed to have lost his right fore shoe.

Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of FLIP YOUR DESTINY, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not exercising sufficient control on his mount under the use of whip passing the 300 Metres.

Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of PLEASANT GLORY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

7th Race: 159. The Happy Valley Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over
(12 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sriram Komndur to substitute Jockey Vivek to ride DRAUPADI in place of the declared rider.

Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of COMMANCHE WAR PAINT reported that his reins got entangled when he was trying to change his whip hand from the left to the right and lost the left side of the reins for about 4/5 strides passing the 300 Metres. Since the incident was accidental no further action was taken beyond noting the incident.

The girth buckle came undone on the saddle of SON OF THE SUN during the race, trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling.

Jockey Harish reported that the saddle on WESTERN PALACE slipped back near the 600 Metres, trainer Mr. Warren Singh was fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling.

TWELFTH DAY, SUNDAY, 21ST JUNE, 2009.

An enquiry was held into the use of Mobile Phone in the Jockey's Room by Jockey C. Harish on Sunday, 21st June 2009 after the 7th Race.

After due enquiry, the Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey C. Harish to the Stewards on 18th July 2009 for violation of the Stewards Instructions dated 11-11-2005 in that he used his Mobile Phone in the Jockeys Room on Sunday, 21-6-2009 during the races. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to suspend Jockey C. Harish as per the Stewards Instructions for 1st Infringement during the meeting (suspension of Jockey's Licence for the period covering 4 race days) in that he shall be suspended from riding in races from 28-7-2009 to 7-8-2009 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work) for the violation of Stewards Instructions.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey C. Harish to the Stewards on 18th July 2009 for contravention of Rule No.101(iii) of the BTC Rules of Racing in that he used his Mobile Phone during the races in the Jockeys Room for passing on information to bet on ALGIERS in Race No.95 of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2009. After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey C. Harish from riding in races from 8-8-2009 to 7-9-2009 (both days inclusive) for contravention of Rule No.101(iii) of the BTC Rules of Racing (not permitted to ride work).

130. The S.N.Harish Memorial Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey C. Alford to the Stewards on 11th July 2009 after the last race for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in that as the rider of ALVIANO he crowded RED RENEGADE (Wayne Smith) near the 1100 Metres causing it to be checked and ENDURING SPEED (Shakti Singh) which was following to be checked and taken outwards. The enquiry was adjourned to 19th July 2009. The Stewards held an enquiry on 19th July 2009 and after deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey C. Alford from riding in races from 28-7-2009 to 31-7-2009 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount ALVIANO in the above race (permitted to ride work).

An enquiry was held into the riding of Jockey S. John on SPARK OF JEWEL. After due enquiry Jockey S. John was fined Rs.5,000/- for not infusing adequate vigour in the straight..
