1st Race: 113. Kranji Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses
rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (8 Runners).
Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of VALIANT BID, was reprimanded for tightening the field on the inside thereby inconveniencing ZANGI (Shobhan Babu) approaching the 1000 Metres.
Jockey Shadab Khan, the rider of FANTABULOUS HERO, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing DIAMOND SHOWER (Amarpreet Singh) approaching the 500 Metres.
Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of VALIANT BID, was fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip beyond the point of shoulder.
Jockey Shadab Khan, the rider of FANTABULOUS HERO, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
Jockey Amarpreet Singh, the rider of DIAMOND SHOWER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
2nd Race: 114. The Basque Plate - (About) 1800 Metres.
Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over
(7 Runners).
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SPANDAU BALLET.
3rd Race: 115. The Fire Haven Plate - (About) 1100 Metres.
Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but
not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (11 Runners).
FOREST DREAM (K. Raja Rao) jumped and swerved towards the left. Trainer
Mr. Karan Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its
behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two jump
outs on starting gate practice days.
Jockey M. Narredu, the rider of NECTAR CROWN, was fined Rs.1,000/-for shifting in and causing interference to BLACK BEAUTY (Shadab Khan) approaching the 1000 Metres.
Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of ALCESTIS, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing severe interference to LUSH LASHES (S. John) approaching the 1000 Metres.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of AMAZING QUEEN, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to LONE RANGER (C. Rajendra) approaching the 900 Metres.
4th Race: 116. The Noble Princess Plate - (About) 1400
Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).
Jockey B. Mahesh, the rider of KINGDOMOFDREAMS, was fined Rs.3,000/- for incompetent riding on his mount during the race in that the Jockey persisted the use of the whip on the left when the horse was ducking in whenever it was whipped on the left thereby impeding its run in the final 300 Metres.
HURRICANE BOLT (Shakti Singh) sustained cut injuries on both hind (Gaskin) and right hind fetlock.
YES I CAN (Md. Shafiq) sustained a cut injury on right hind pastern.
5th Race: 117. The Royal Tern Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200
Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
As Jockey L. Marshall was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. V. Lokanath to substitute Jockey T. Rahul to ride ZAIOS in place of the declared rider.
Jockey Zia Akhtar, the rider of PAINT ME RED, was reported to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in that soon after jumping out PAINT ME RED shifted out across several horses and bumped FLY FOR SURE (A. Imran Khan) causing him to check and fall back. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey Zia Akhtar. After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey Zia Akhtar from riding in races from 14-7-2009 to 19-7-2009 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (permitted to ride work).
Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of FLY FOR SURE, was reported to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in that passing the 1100 Metres Jockey A. Imran Khan rode his mount out bumping MUDEER POWER (Md. Shoaib) which in turn shifted out and bumped GREAT CHIEFTAN (C. Krishnan) severely inconveniencing GREAT CHIEFTAN. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey A. Imran Khan. After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey A. Imran Khan from riding in races from 14-7-2009 to 19-7-2009 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (permitted to ride work).
FLY FOR SURE (A. Imran Khan) sustained a cut injury on left hind cannon.
6th Race: 118. The H.B. Gundappa Gowda Memorial Trophy -
(About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years
old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but
not placed second, third or fourth even once
ineligible (Terms) (11 Runners).
Jockey M.A. Milan, the rider of CHRONICLE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and bumping AKSINYA (C. Alford) which in turn bumped PORTOBELLO (Harish) approaching the 450 Metres. Subsequently AKSINYA (C. Alford) stopped galloping in the last 300 Metres. On questioning, Jockey C. Alford stated that he felt the horse was not striding well. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that the horse had sore shins.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of DUKE OF EDINBURGH, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from dk b g BRUCKNER.
7th Race: 119. The Kumararajah M.A.M. Muthiah Cup - (About)
1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Tharun Thimmaiah to withdraw COORG HONEY (M.A. Milan) on veterinary grounds as it was examined and found to be trotting lame on right fore due to inflamed hoof and thrush. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar to withdraw SPARK OF BRONTE (S. John) on veterinary grounds as it was examined and found to be walking lame on left fore due to inflamed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
LESTER (C. Krishnan) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Jockey S. Ramesh, the rider of COLONEL DUFF, reported that his mount was hanging in, in the straight. Trainer Mr. S. Singh was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SENORA ENCIMA, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to DESDEMONA (C. Alford) approaching the 350 Metres.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of ABOVE THE LINE, reported that his mount was lugging in under the pressure in the last 100 Metres.
COLONEL DUFF (S. Ramesh) sustained injuries on right cheek.

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal to substitute Jockey
Zia Akhtar to ride SEVEN STAR in place of the declared rider.

wide from 1100 Metres to 400 Metres for no apparent reason.
Jockey A. Velu, the rider of KEMROCK, was reprimanded for the improper use of the whip on his mount during the race.
