RACING INCIDENTS
(104 to 111)
Going : Good Penetrometer Reading : 4 Cms.
(False Rails: Average width of 3.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to the Winning Post)
1st Race: 104. Th Camino Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (9 Runners).
AMERICUS (B. Mahesh) while jumping out brushed the starting gates and the rider lost both stirrup and could regain the left stirrup approaching the 1000 Metres and the right stirrup approaching the 800 Metres.
Jockey B. Mahesh, the rider of AMERICUS, was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course in the last 300 Metres.
BURDEN ON ME (R. Koch) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ATHABASCA STAR.
2nd Race: 105. The Fire Haven Plate - (About) 1100 Metres.
Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but
not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (9 Runners).
Jockey C. Alford, the rider of DON DIEGO, placed second by the Judge objected against Jockey Amyn Merchant the rider of SCIONIC, placed first for "in the last 250 Metres the winner has continuously bored me and in the last 200 Metes has bumped me in excess of minimum five times and thereby I have not been able to ride my horse to win". The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.
It was reported after the race that WALTZ AWAY (Imran Chisty) was observed to be suffering from sore shin on right fore. Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate form the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
3rd Race: 106. The Kranji Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).
Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the
declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge SUPERLATIVO.
Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Jockey Harish, the rider of LADZONE, was reprimanded for not maintaining a
straight course in the final 200 Metres.
Jockey M. Mark, the rider of EIGHTH WONDER, reported that his mount's action was scratchy in the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormalities were reported. However trainer Mr. V Narayana Gowda was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey Ch.K. Chary, the rider of PRINCE NORBERT, reported that his mount was hanging in throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormalities were reported. However trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
4th Race: 107. The Noble Princess Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).
LITTLE BISCUIT (G. Adarsh) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of INSPIRED MOVE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to NOT NOT SEVEN (P.S. Chouhan) on his inside approaching the 200 Metres.
ABSENCE (Nasir Imam) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Jockey G.Y.Rajesh Babu, the rider of OUR CRUISE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
5th Race: 108. The H.B. Gundappa Gowda Memorial Cup -(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (12 Runners)
It was observed that STAR WAVE (A. Imran Khan) soon after jumping out was inclined to hang in, despite the best efforts of the rider to keep it on an even course and in the process inconvenienced the horses on the inside viz. ANGELFIRE (S. Zervan), ATLANTUS (S. John) and JERSEY PRIDE (K.P.G. Appu) on his inside before passing the red marker post.
ANOTHER DESTINY (M.J. Gautam Raj Urs) accidentally brushed the false rails
passing the 1000 Metres.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ANGELFIRE.
6th Race: 109. The Royal Tern Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20
to 45, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji to withdraw WYNN (M.
Mark) on veterinary grounds as it lame on left fore due to inflammed tendon. He
was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's
Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Approaching the 900 metres in a closely packed field SHOWHORSE ( S John) shifted in and tightened SHOT OF GOLD( Amyn Merchant ) on his inside GRAND TOPAZ ( A Imran Khan) which was traveling directly behind the later had to be checked by its rider to avoid clipping the heels of the front runner.
Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu, the rider of PRECEPT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and inconveniencing GRAND TOPAZ (A. Imran Khan) on his outside passing the 200 Metres.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f YOURE KISS'S DUE.
7th Race: 110. The Kumararajah M.A.M. Muthiah Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (12 Runners).
Jockey Zulquar Nain, the rider of YOUR DESTINY, was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence in pertaining to weighing out.
Jockey Khurshad Alam, the rider of PERFECT ANALYSIS, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and bumping TIME FLIES (Ladjadj Stephane) on his inside passing the 300 Metres.
Jockey C. Alford, the rider of AGENT ARCHIE, was fined Rs.5,000/- for dropping his hands during the final stages of the race.
Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of JUNO, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
REGAL RANSOM (A. Imran Khan) sustained a cut injury on left gaskin.
8th Race: 111 The Royal Tern Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
Jockey Md Sameer the declared rider of SON OF THE SUN was fined Rs.2000/- for failing to make the declared weight. Subsequently permission was granted to trainer Mr V.Lokanath to substitute Jockey M.J.Gautam Raj Urs to ride SON OF THE SUN in place of the declared rider.
Jockey Khurshad Alam the rider of ICE MINT was fined Rs.2000/- for not
exercising sufficient control on his mount and thereby taking out DIVINE STRIKE
( Imran Chisty ) on his outside in the final 150 metres.
DIVINE STRIKE ( Imran Chisty ) sustained a cut injury on Right Fore Cannon.
