1st Race: 72. The Melbourne Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
SAYYONEE (T.S. Jodha) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced SUN RICH (A. Ashok Kumar) on its outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
ANGAD (Amyn Merchant) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced SUN RICH (A. Ashok Kumar) on its inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
BADRI (R. Vaibhav) sustained cut injuries on left hind pastern and right hind tendon.
ANGAD (Amyn Merchant) sustained a cut injury on right hind tendon.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SHINING FAME.
2nd Race: 73. The Ich Dien Plate - (About) 1400 Metres, Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners).
WINNING TOUCH (M. Ravi) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced SIGNIFIES (T.S. Jodha) on its inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
Jockey M. Ravi, the rider of WINNINGTOUCH, was fined Rs.2,000/- for repeatedly changing course between 900 Metres and 400 Metres.
Jockey Tauseef Ahmed, the rider of BALBOA, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.
PROVOCATEUR (Ranjeet Singh) sustained cut injury on right shoulder.
YOURE ROCKING (J. Pradeep) sustained cut injury on right hind cannon.
SIMPLY STYLISH (B. Sreekanth) sustained cut injury on right hind cannon.
3rd Race: 74. The J. Lingaiah Memorial Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (8 Runners).
Jockey Valdir De Sousa, the rider of IBELIEVEINMIRACLES, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and taking out YOUNG ACHIEVER (Suraj Narredu) on his outside rounding the final bend.
It was reported after the race that STARISTA (Imran Chisty) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
4th Race: 75. The Melbourne Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (10 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao to withdraw SHOURYA (S. Chetan Kalay) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right fore due to inflammed elbow. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Narredu to withdraw SPECIAL (Suraj Narredu) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left hind due to sprained stifle. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
MOUNTAIN TRAIN (Arshad Alam) took a fly jump and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out of a starting gate practice day.
WESTERN PALACE (P. Kiran Rai) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
LOVING FANTASY (T.S. Jodha) sustained a cut injury on right hind cannon.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f BEBO.
5th Race: 76. The Diablo Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
Jockey N. Rajesh, the rider of SAMAJDAAR, reported that his mount was hanging out from 1000 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However Trainer Mr. G. Nityanand was informed to take appropriate remedial measures before accepting with it again.
VIVA DIVA (Arshad Alam) sustained cut injury on left hock.
INDIAN (N. Harsha) sustained gum injury.
6th Race: 77. The Civil Service Cup - (About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 80 and above (15 Runners).
Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of SPARK OF SILVER, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to SHOTGUNN (S. John) on his inside passing the 1000 Metres.
Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of VOLTERRA, was reprimanded for suddenly shifting course passing the 300 Metres.
WASHINGTON IRVINE (Ajoy Roy) sustained a cut injury on right knee.
VOLTERRA (S. Zervan) sustained a deep cut bleeding injury on right gaskin.
7th Race : 78. The Red Divine Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Indian
horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed
second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (12 Runners).
Jockey Fr'co F DaSilva, the rider of WHISTLEJACKET, was fined Rs.3,000/- for tightening AN ACQUIRED TASTE passing the 400 Metres and for shifting out and causing interference to STARSTRUCK (Neeraj Rawal) on his outside passing the 200 Metres.
Jockey Fr'co F DaSilva, the rider of WHISTLEJACKET, was fined Rs.1,000/- for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.
Jockey N. Rawal, the rider of AN ACQUIRED TASTE, placed II by the Judge objected against Jockey Fr'co F DaSilva, the rider of WHISTLEJACKET placed I for "the winner was running erratic at the 400 Metres coming on to me on the rails due to which I had to check my mount which cost me a certain race". The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.
SIMPLETON (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on right fore cannon.
WHISTLEJACKET (Fr'co F DaSilva) sustained a cut injury on right knee.
8th Race: 79. The Basque Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to
65 (11 Runners).
A MOVE TO REMEMBER (P Mani) was permitted to be withdrawn as it could not be shod.
Jockey P.Trevor, the rider of SLADE VALLEY, reported that his mount was
inclined to run out after entering the straight and the bit on his mount slipped
towards the right. On enquiry and examination, it was found to have been
properly fixed and well maintained. Hence no further action was taken beyond
noting the explanation.
Jockey C.Alford, the rider of ADELRIC, reported that his mount was running out violently passing the 700 metres and he had considerable difficulty in keeping it on an even course thereafter it ran detached from the field. As a result the bit on his mount slipped towards the right after entering the straight. On enquiry and examination, it was found to be properly fixed and well maintained. Hence no further action was taken beyond noting the explanation.
SLADE VALLEY (P Trevor) sustained a cut injury on right fore cannon.
