1st Race: 167. The Happy Valley Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).

PERFECT ATTITUDE (J.H. Christopher) was extremely fractious inside the gates and the left fore limb got stuck for a considerable period of time, reared up and fell on its back. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders.

Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of SMART EDITION, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming out and causing interference to SHOURYA (P. Kiran Rai) on his outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from ch f SPECIAL.

2nd Race: 168. The Parsiana Plate - (About) 1800 Metres.
Horses rated 20 to 45 (6 Runners).

3rd Race: 169. The Happy Valley Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).

Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of MAGIC WAVE, was reprimanded for looking back approaching the 600 Metres for no apparent reason.

MAVERICAL (Afsar Khan) sustained a cut injury on left fore cannon.

SWEET ANGEL (R.Vaibhav) sustained a cut injury on left fore cannon.

RED HOT (C. Umesh) sustained a cut injury on right hind fetlock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g FINAL COUNTDOWN.

4th Race: 170. The Lt. Col. Gaunt Memorial Cup - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (8 Runners).

Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of ADELRIC placed 2nd by the Judge objected against Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of SPANIARD placed 1st for "in the last one furlong the winner has come out and bumped me twice whereby my horse lost its rhythm due to which I lost a certain race" The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to uphold the objection and revise the order of placings as under:

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of SPANIARD, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the improper use of the whip on his mount whereby he could not exercise sufficient control over his mount and allowed it to drift out in the final 200 Metres.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c ADELRIC.

5th Race: 171. The Bangalore St.Leger (Grade II) - (About) 2800 Metres. For 4 year old Indian Horses (foaled in 2008) (Terms) (5 Runners).

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

STAR MARQUESS (B. Sreekanth) sustained a cut injury on right hind outer bulb of the heel.

6th Race: 172. The S.M. Ramakrishna Rao Memorial Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. For Horses rated 80 and above. (11 Runners).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g CAPE FERRAT.

7th Race: 173. The Esquire Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (12 Runners).

It was reported after the race that the right fore shoe of ENSATUS ELEGANS (R. Vaideeshwaran) had apparently come off during the race.

8th Race: 174. The Chettinad Stud Plate-(About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).

Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of GLUTEUS MAXIMUS, reported that his mount was hanging in throughout the race and that he had considerable difficulty in keeping it on an even course. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and it was reported to have burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.






GLUTEUS MAXIMUS (Imran Chisty) sustained a cut injury on right hock.

Permission was granted to trainers M/s. S. Narredu & Darius R Byramji to deputise on behalf of trainers M/s. M. Narredu & R.R. Byramji respectively who were unable to attend the races.
