1st Race: 215. The Leading Tipster Cup - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of YAMAGUCHI, was fined Rs.5,000/-for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.
It was reported after the race that BLUE MALA (Ramandeep S. Bal) burst its blood vessels during the race. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g WONDER LASH.
2nd Race: 216. The Champion Trainer Cup Div.II - (About)
1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna to withdraw ALL CLEAR on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left fore due to injury on coronet. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
MOST WANTED (M. Prabhakaran) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
3rd Race: 217. The Leading Tipster Cup-Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).
ROYAL TAURIAN (Valdir De Sousa) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Jockey S. Chetan Kalay, the rider of MIDTOWN DELIGHT, was fined Rs.2,000/- for the inept handling of his mount during the race.
ARTIC BREEZE (Indrajeet Singh) sustained a cut injury on right hock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g HILLTON.
4th Race: 218. The Champion Trainer Cup Div.I - (About)
1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).
Jockey Tauseef Ahmed, the rider of SUMMERS BREEZE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming in and causing interference to the horses on his inside viz. FIRELIGHT (R. Vaibhav) and CLICK (Arshad Alam) before passing the red marker post.
Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of SALTOFTHEEARTH, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to CLICK (Arshad Alam) on his inside approaching the 700 Metres.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ASCOT MAGIC.
5th Race: 219. The Leading Owner Cup-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar to substitute Jockey A. Sandesh to ride KRIPA in place of Jockey S. John the declared rider.
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr.Amit Caddy to withdraw SUMMER SUN on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right hind due to large Hematoma on gaskin. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey A.R. Pradeep, the rider of LADS ABILITY, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (2nd infringement).
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. Warren Singh to the Stewards for contravention of Rule No.114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing read with Calendar Notification under the heading "saddling of horses" in respect of his charge LADS ABILITY (A.R. Pradeep) in that the saddle on his charge started shifting passing the 350 Metres and completely shifted towards the left of the quarters passing the 150 Metres whereby the rider totally lost control over his mount, also got unbalanced and fell down after passing the winning post then the horse turned towards the paddock. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined Trainer Mr. Warren Singh. After deliberations, they decided to fine him a sum of Rs.10,000/- for contravention of Rule No.114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing read with Calendar Notification under the heading "saddling of horses" in respect of his charge LADS ABILITY (A.R. Pradeep) in the above race.
ADONIS (R. Vaideeshwaran) sustained gum injury.
SWEET TIMER (A. Ashok Kumar) sustained cut injury on right nostril.
6th Race: 220. The Leading Stud Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (12 Runners).
ARCHIBALDO (P.S. Chouhan) planted, lost many lengths and ran detached from the field. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
7th Race: 221. The Champion Jockey Cup Div.I- (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (14 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to substitute Jockey Ryan Marshall to ride SAVVY CONCEPT in place of Jockey S. John the declared rider.
Permission was granted to Trainer J.S. Dhariwal to withdraw BEBO on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right fore due to sprained knee. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
ALPHABET (A. Ashok Kumar) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
SIVANTA (R. Anand) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. F. Sirajuddin was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Jockey S. Babu, the rider of ABBYS BABY, was reprimanded for travelling wide passing the 700 Metres.
Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of SAVVY CONCEPT, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive and improper use of whip on his mount during the race.
8th Race: 222. The Governor's Cup - (Grade III) - (About) 2400 Metres. For 4 years old and over (Terms) (6 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalor to substitute Jockey Ryan Marshall to ride RIDGEWAY in place of Jockey S. John the declared rider.

10th Race: 224. The Champion Jockey Cup Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (13 Runners).
MAGIC WAVE (Suraj Narredu) was examined at the starting gate and was found to be trotting lame on right fore due to sprained fetlock joint. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
LUCKY SAM (Vivek) was extremely fractious and refused to remain inside the starting stall. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's order.
Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of SARANG, reported that his mount was hanging in, after entering the straight. Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was fined Rs.5,000/- for the unsatisfactory riding of his charge THEJAGUAR in the above race.
Jockey G. Deepak Singh the rider of THEJAGUAR, was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.
Jockey A.R. Pradeep, the rider of NATIVE INDIAN, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 400 Metres.
Jockey Syed Asgar, the rider of HATCHET HARRY, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 200 Metres.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g NATIVE INDIAN.

179. The J.B. Mallaradhya Memorial Cup - (About)1400 Metres. Horses rated 80 and
above.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala and Jockey
Suraj Narredu to the Stewards for unsatisfactory running and unsatisfactory
riding respectively on SHIVALIK PRINCE in the above race. The Stewards held an
enquiry after the last race on Thursday, 9th August 2012 and examined Trainer
Mr. Irfan Ghatala and Jockey Suraj Narredu. After deliberations, they decided to
give the benefit of doubt for both of them at this instance and cautioned them
to be careful as to the future running and riding respectively.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji to the Stewards for contravention of B.T.C. Calendar Notification under the heading "Carrying of Identification Saddle Cloth with numbers on horses working on the tracks or any part of the premises of the Racecourse", in that his charge, b f AMALFI worked without Track Number on 6th August 2012, during morning track work. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on 9-8-2012 and considered the Charge Sheet issued to the Trainer concerned and the written explanation dated 6th August 2012 submitted by Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji. After due deliberations, they directed the Stipendiary Stewards to fine Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji Rs.5,000/- for contravention of BTC Calendar Notification under the heading "Carrying of Identification Saddle Cloth with numbers on horses working on the tracks or any part of the premises of the Racecourse" in respect of his charge b f AMALFI on 6-8-2012.

193. The Supervite Plate-Div.II-(About) 1400 Metres., for horses rated 40 to 65,
4 years old and over.
After due consideration of the application made by Jockey Valdir De Sousa
- who was declared a disqualified person under BTC Rules of Racing licence from
16-8-2012 to 15-11-2011 (both days inclusive) and fined a sum of Rs.25,000/- for
riding in a foul manner thereby contravening Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of
Racing on his mount IBELIEVEINMIRACLES in the above race, the Board of Appeal
decided to stay the operation of punishment till the appeal was heard and
finally disposed of by it.
