1st Race : 35. The Bhishma Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).

MAGIC WAVE (P. Kiran Rai) took a fly jump.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of NAYAN STAR, reported that his mount jumped out awkwardly whereby he lost his left stirrup while jumping which he regained within a few strides.

Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of HAUTE ECOLE, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. Darius R Byramji was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey P. Kiran Rai, the rider of MAGIC WAVE, was reprimanded for travelling wide form 800 Metres till about 600 Metres for no apparent reason.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f BANK ON ME.

2nd Race : 36. The Mamma's Mink Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (10 Runners).

It was reported after the race that TRANSCENDENTAL (K.P.G. Appu) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Akshay, the rider of WELL KNOWN, was fined RS.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to GREYCONNECTION (C. Alford) on his inside passing the 300 Metres.

Jockey Shanth Kumar, the rider of BRIGADE'S SUPREME, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

3rd Race : 37. The Smart Chieftan Trophy - (About) 1100 Metres. Bangalore based Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) - (Terms) (11 Runners)

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. F. Sirajuddin to withdraw SECRET TOUCH (K.P.G. Appu) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right hind due to sprained stifle. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

ORIENTAL IMAGE (M. Noornabi) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

4th Race : 38. The Bhishma Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).

TWINKLINGOFANEYE (Ch.K. Chary) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced BOLD NATURE (P. Kiran Rai) on its outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

SPARK OF HARMONY (Ahsan Qureshi) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced BOLD NATURE (P. Kiran Rai) on its inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of ACTIVE GREY trained by Mr. V. Lokanath and ridden by Jockey Anand.

Jockey H.G. Rathod, the rider of JERALEINE, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that the horse pulled up lame on right fore due to sprained fetlock joint. Trainer Mr. Tharun Thimmaiah (deputizing for Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar) was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c JERSEY SHORE.

5th Race: 39. The Speaker's Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (9 Runners).

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of MIRACLE MEMORIES, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to ACE DANCER (A. Sandesh) on his outside passing the 1100 Metres.

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of MIRACLE MEMORIES trained by Mr. Neil Darashah and ridden by Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b c MIRACLE MEMORIES.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c CZAR OF ROMANCE.

6th Race: 40. The Holding Court Plate - Div.I (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (11 Runners).

Jockey Anjar Alam, the rider of HILLSTONE, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing KILIMANJARO (M Rajesh Kumar) on his inside passing the 200 Metres.

Jockey C. Alford, the rider of LADS GLADIATOR, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g CATAMARAN.

7th Race: 41. The Dharmaprakasha L.S. Venkaji Rao Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (10 Runners).

RAPHIRE (Vivek) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced THE LEADER (Kiran Naidu) which in turn passed it on to DROP OF HONEY (Arshad Alam) on its outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

It was observed that ARCHIBALDO (D.K. Ashish) was hanging in after passing the 300 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi (deputizing for Trainer Mr. Prasannna Kumar) was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

VIJAYS CONQUER (A.M. Tograllu) was impounded for veterinary examination after the race. On examination the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sharp molars. Hence Trainer Mr. Laxman Singh was fined Rs.3,000/- for his negligence (1st Infringement).

Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ARCHIBALDO.

8th Race: 42. The Holding Court Plate - Div.II (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (11 Runners).

As Jockey R. Bharath, the declared rider of TOO COLD TOO HOLD was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey Nasar Alam to ride TOO COLD TO HOLD in place of Jockey R. Bharath the declared rider.

JALDI (V.R. Jagadeesh) reared up as the gates opened and stumbled soon after the start thereby momentarily unbalancing the rider.

Jockey A.R. Pradeep, the rider of GAME DANCER,was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of MAGNOMICAL,was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran, the rider of LIVING LEGEND, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g LIVING LEGEND.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. at their meeting held on Tuesday, 4th June 2013 considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of the drug 4-METHYLAMINOPHENAZONE and ETOFYLLINE - prohibited substances in the urine sample taken from b g DIVINE STRIKE after the horse placed First in the above race on Friday, 9th November 2012. The horse owned by M/s. Shailendher V Kamath and Srinivas Shankar and trained by Mr. Faraz Arshad.

They examined trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Trainer's Licence granted to Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad from 14-6-2013 to 13-8-2013 (both days inclusive) and fine him a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules (in respect of his charge b g DIVINE STRIKE in the above race) as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading "Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control" reading as follows:

"The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care. The trainers are warned that they will be held responsible if an examination of a horse, results in the finding of any prohibited substances".

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. at their meeting held on Tuesday, 4th June 2013 considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of the drug Caffeine, Theobromine & Theophilline - prohibited substances in the urine sample taken from dkb g STAR OF DESIRE after the horse ran unplaced in the above race on Saturday, 8th December 2012. The horse owned by M/s. Mr. S.N. Prasad, Mr. T.S. Preetham and Mr. T.S. Gautam and trained by Mr. Hidayat Khan.

They examined trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Trainer's Licence granted to Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan from 14-6-2013 to 13-8-2013 (both days inclusive) and fine him a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules (in respect of his charge dk b g STAR OF DESIRE in the above race) as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading "Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control" reading as follows:

30TH DAY, SATURDAY, 16TH MARCH 2013

249. The Sringeri Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran the rider of ACE ANGEL STAR to the Stewards for not permitting his mount to run on its merits (Rule No. 159 (a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry on 5-6-2013 and examined Mr. P S Chouhan, spokesman for Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran, the Jockey himself and Mr. Irfan Ghatala, the trainer of the horse. After viewing the CCTV replay of the race, acting on their own observation of the running of the race and after due deliberations the Stewards decided to (a) Note the explanation tendered by Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala; and (b) Withdraw the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran with effect from 21-6-2013 to 31-3-2014 (both days inclusive) for not allowing his mount ACE ANGEL STAR to run on its merits in the above race thereby contravening Rule No. 159 (a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing.
