There was intermittent rain during the afternoon.
False Rails : Average width of 1.5 metres from 1100 metres to 500 metres.
1st Race: 159. The Astronomic Plate - Div.III - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).
Jockey M D Praveen, the rider of DELILAH was fined Rs.1,000/- for travelling wide between 800 Metres and 500 Metres for no apparent reason.
It was reported the last race that SIMRA (Saddam Hussain) burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy - Grade III at 6:00 p.m). Trainer Mr. S Narredu was informed that he must produce a fitness certificate from the club's veterinary officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey Saddam Hussain, the rider of SIMRA was fined Rs.5,000/- for the excessive and improper use of the whip on his mount during the race (2nd infringement).
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner gr f ICE KINGDOM.
2nd Race: 160. The Rare Gem Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
Bangalore based maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at
least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms)
(9 Runners).
BOLTS CLOT (Vinod Shinde) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. R R Byramji was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one gate practice on a starting gate practice day.
CONQUISTADOR (P Trevor) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced the horses on its outside viz. CASTLE STUART (S John) and FIOROLOCO (Ahsan Qureshi) on the outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of FEET ON FIRE reported that his mount was hanging out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ARTESIA.
3rd Race: 161. The Chantille Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (13 Runners).
There was a false start in the race where in 12 horses out of 13 completed the course. The Stewards immediately ordered an enquiry into the incident and after due deliberations and by virtue of powers conferred under the BTC Rules of Racing decided to declare the race Null & Void.
4th Race: 162. The Parsiana Plate - (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (7 Runners).
RANJHA (A M Tograllu) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. B Prithviraj (deputizing on behalf of trainer Mr. Laxman Singh) was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
BRONZINO (P S Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on left hind fetlock.
AUTHENTIC STRIDE (P Trevor) sustained a cut injury on right hind fetlock.
RANJHA (A M Tograllu) sustained a cut injury on left hind cannon.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f WINGED FOOT.
5th Race: 163. The Astronomic Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses
rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).
Jockey P Trevor, the rider of VOLANS reported that his mount was lugging 'in' after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of TRUST ME BOY reported that his mount gradually started slowing down passing 300 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed to have his charge checked again and was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Jockey K R Rajesh, the rider of MELLONSDELIGHT was fined Rs.3,000/- for the inept handling of his mount during the race. As directed by the Stewards he was further informed that he would not be permitted to ride in races till he improved his performance, by regularly attending the riding orientation course conducted under the supervision of the Stipendiary Stewards and exhibit his performance to the satisfaction of the Stewards in Mock Races.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c WREKIN.
6th Race: 164. The Bangalore St. Leger (Grade II) - (About) 2800 Metres. For 4 year old Indian Horses (foaled in 2009) (Terms) (7 Runners).
Trainer Mr. C D Katrak was fined Rs.10,000/-by the Stewards for failing to declare his charge FIRE ENGINE to start for this race after having accepted with it.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Altamash Ahmed to declare Jockey A. Imran Khan to ride AN ACQUIRED TASTE in the above race. Subsequently as Jockey A Imran Khan was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the third race. Permission was granted to him to substitute Jockey Imran Chisty to ride AN ACQUIRED TASTE in place of Jockey A Imran Khan, the declared rider.
MASTER SHIFU (S Zervan) sustained a cut injury on left fore fetlock.

7th Race: 165. The S.M. Ramakrishna Rao Memorial Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. For Horses rated 80 and above. (10 Runners).
Trainer Mr. S Narredu and Jockey Suraj Narredu were questioned regarding the running and riding of SPRINT STAR in the above race.
The trainer stated as follows:
a) That he had instructed Jockey Suraj Narredu to ride his own race since
he had won on this horse several times.
b) But still considering the top weight it was carrying and the going he had
asked Suraj not to hustle his mount, gradually improve and ride out in the
straight. Further the horse was running for the second time after a long break
due to a tendon problem.
c) In the initial stages the pace was too past and his charge could not keep up
with that and further his charge had to be slightly checked during the early
part.
d) Considering all the factors and the way the race was run he could not find
fault with the riding of Jockey Suraj Narredu and that he was satisfied with his
riding.
Jockey Suraj Narredu while corroborating the statement of the trainer as regards instructions and the way the race was run added that he rode out to the best of his abilities but he could finish only third. Their explanations were noted.

8th Race: 166. The Astronomic Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).
Jockey P S Chouhan, the rider of TALITA'S GIRL reported that his mount was not galloping fluently till about rounding the final bend where after it improved.
Jockey M D Praveen, the rider of SUMMERS BREEZE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race. He was further informed in the presence of Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy that a repetition of a similar manner of riding will entail him being reported to the Stewards for severe disciplinary action.

9th Race: 167. The Chettinad Stud Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85, 4 years old and over (9 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey Md Shoaib to ride SMOOTH GLIDER in place of Jockey H G Rathod, the declared rider.
Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of REALSTEEL reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight. Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
WILL STAR (Mudassar Nazar) sustained cut injury on left hind fetlock.
REAL STEEL ( Imran Chisty) sustained cut injury on right hind cannon.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SUN DIVINE.
