1st Race: 175. The Brave Dancer Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (8 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Tharun Thimmaiah to withdraw VIVA DIVA on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right hind cannon due to cut injury. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey A.R. Pradeep, the rider of YOURE CHILUBULI, reported that he could not get a clear run soon after jumping out of the starting gates due to the crowding of the field.

Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of DIVINE RULER, reported that his saddle shifted back after entering the straight. After due examination of the equipment, Trainer Mr. Karan Singh was fined Rs.3,000/- for his negligence.

Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of ROYAL REIN, was reprimanded for easing his mount in the final 50 Metres of the race.

DIVINE RULER (B. Sreekanth) sustained cut injury on left hind tendon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ROYAL REIN.

2nd Race: 176. The Allied Forces Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (9 Runners).

INDIAN PRIDE (M. Prabhakaran) after jumping out swerved towards the left refused to raise a fluent gallop and ran detached thereafter. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of ISLE OF FIRE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing severe interference to BOLD NATURE (P. Kiran Rai) on his inside approaching the 300 Metres.

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of LADY MANDY, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 200 Metres.

BOUDICCA (Imran Chisty) sustained a cut injury on right hind cannon.

ISLE OF FIRE (P. Trevor) sustained a cut injury on right hock.

GIFT OF LOVE (B. Nayak) sustained a cut injury on right knee.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g STARSTRUCK.

3rd Race: 177. The Squanderer Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (10 Runners).

Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the declared rider of SUR LA TETE was fined Rs.2,000/- for failing to arrive to fulfil his riding engagement for the days race. Hence permission was granted to Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan to substitute Jockey G. Adarsh to ride SUR LA TETE in place of Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the declared rider.

ADEMARO (Imran Chisty) after jumping out, violently veered in and inconvenienced the horses on his inside viz. MICKEY MOUSE (B. Sreekanth) and SEVEN OF HEARTS (P. Trevor) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

NAYAN STAR (Vivek) reared up as the gates opened.

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of POWER OF TIME, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing DOFANTASY (Suraj Narredu) on his inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of POWER OF TIME, reported that he could not get a clear run passing the 900 Metres due to a closely packed field.

Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of ARABIAN WARRIOR, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to PURSUIT OF FAME (S. John) on his outside passing the 200 Metres.

Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of MICKEY MOUSE, was reprimanded for completely easing his mount in the final stages of the race.

It was reported after the race that ARABIAN WARRIOR (S Zervan) suffered from bleeding due to an injury in the nasal septum on right nostril (Endoscopy).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MICKEY MOUSE.

4th Race: 178. The Bangalore Summer Million (Grade III) - (About) 1600 Metres, For 3-year-old Indian Horses (Foaled in 2010) (Terms) (6 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj to withdraw ANCIENT TITLE on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore due to inflammed cannon. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Trainer Mr. L.V.R. Deshmukh was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for having accepted his charge LAGUNA BEACH to run in the above race without producing the same in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards when he had been advised to do so in view of its behaviour in the last run. Hence it was permitted to be withdrawn.

Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of ARROGANT APPROACH, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to ARGIANO (Suraj Narredu) on his inside approaching the 200 Metres.

5th Race: 179. The Col. Rajkumar C. Desraj Urs Memorial Cup Div.I - (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (7 Runners)

SUSSEX DOWNS (Imran Chisty) drifted out under pressure in the final 300 Metres of the race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g APPOLLO KING.

6th Race: 180. The Allied Forces Plate Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (10 Runners).

Jockey Ahsan Qureshi, the rider of THE SCIENTIST, was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming in and causing interference to HAUTE ECOLE (Imran Chisty) on his inside which in turn passed it on to SHOOT OUT (Indrajeet Singh) along the rails approaching the 900 Metres.

SHOOT OUT (Indrajeet Singh) sustained a cut injury on left fore cannon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g THE SCIENTIST.

7th Race: 181. The Kranji Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses
rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (14 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Amit caddy was fined Rs.2,000/- for declaring Jockey Suraj Narredu to ride AFTERNOON DELIGHT without obtaining prior permission of the Jockey who had already accepted to ride WIND TUNNEL in the above race. Subsequently Jockey A Ramu was declared to ride AFTERNOON DELIGHT in the above race.

MOCK RACE - HELD ON 19-2-2013

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 18-7-2013 considered the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., dated 22nd May 2013 in referring Jockey Afsar Khan, the rider of POWERGRID to the Stewards of Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., Bangalore for appropriate action for his misconduct while riding the said horse in the Mock Race held on the 19th of February, 2013, at Mysore after the last Race on that day, thereby contravening Rule No.101(1) of the BTC Rules of Racing.

The Stewards noted that (a) Jockey Afsar Khan was issued a letter dated 10th July 2013 to appear before the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., to be examined by them on Tuesday, 16th July 2013 at 5.00 p.m. and subsequently issued a letter dated 15th July 2013 to appear before the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at 5.00 P.M. on Thursday, 18th July 2013 to be examined by them failing which the matter would be decided ex-parte by the Stewards; (b) that an attempt was made to contact Afsar Khan over phone to inform him to appear before the Stewards at 5.00 p.m. on Thursday, 18th July 2013 to be examined by the Stewards in this connection which was not successful; and (c) that Jockey Afsar Khan did not present himself before the Stewards for being examined by the Stewards even today i.e. 18th July 2013.

Therefore, the Stewards after deliberation decided as follows:

Should the Jockey's Licence be granted to Jockey Afsar Khan for the year 2014-15, the same shall remain suspended from 1-4-2014 to 30-6-2014 (both days inclusive) and he be not permitted to ride work for his misconduct while riding in the Mock Race held on the 19th of February, 2013 at Mysore on his mount POWERGRID, thereby contravening Rule No. 101(1) of the BTC Rules of Racing.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 18-7-2013 considered the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., dated 22nd May 2013 in referring Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of BORN TO PERFORM to the Stewards of Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., Bangalore for appropriate action for his misconduct while riding in the Mock Race held on the 19th of February, 2013, at Mysore on his mount BORN TO PERFORM, thereby contravening Rule No.101(1) of the BTC Rules of Racing.

The Stewards examined Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh from 7-8-2013 to 6-11-2013 (both days inclusive) and he be not permitted to ride work for his misconduct while riding in the Mock Race held on the 19th of February, 2013 at Mysore on his mount BORN TO PERFORM , thereby contravening Rule No. 101(1) of the BTC Rules of Racing .

114. The Juvenile Sprinters' Million (Grade III) - (About) 1200 Metres. For 3 year old Indian horses (foaled in 2010)

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah for the misconduct and the utterances by him towards the official Starter of the Club soon after the above race at the weighing room thereby contravening Rule No.114(b)(ii) &(iii) of the BTC Rules of Racing in connection with the withdrawal of his charge WHISPERING GALLARY from the said race due to its extremely fractious behaviour at the starting gates. The Stewards held an enquiry on 18th July 2013. They interviewed the official Starter Mr. K.S. Shanmukhaswamy. The Stewards examined Mr. Darius Byramji, spokesman for Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah and Mr. Neil Darashah himself.

After deliberations and in view of the unconditional and unqualified apology tendered by Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah for his misconduct, the Stewards decided to severely reprimand him for his misconduct towards the official Starter of the Club soon after the above race at the weighing room thereby contravening Rule No.114(b)(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing and further to punish him with a fine of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twentyfive only) as a suspended sentence and that the sentence shall be invoked immediately in the event of repetition of similar breach of Rules of Racing of Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., by Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah during the period from 19-7-2013 to 31-3-2015 (both days inclusive).

131. The Young Rajput Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr.Amit Caddy to the Stewards for not running his charge PACIFIC BLUE (A. Ramu) on merits in the above race thereby contravening Rule No 159 (a) of the BTC Rules of Racing and Jockey A. Ramu the rider of PACIFIC BLUE to the Stewards for not permitting his mount to run on its merits thereby contravening (Rule No. 159 (a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in the above race.

The Stewards held an enquiry on Thursday, 18th July 2013 and examined Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy and Jockey A. Ramu. After viewing the CCTV replay of the race, acting on their own observation of the running of the race after considering the evidence tendered by Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy and Jockey A Ramu during the enquiries conducted by the Stipendiary Stewards considering the submission made by Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy and Jockey A. Ramu before them and after due deliberations the Stewards concluded as follows:
(a) That Trainer Mr.Amit Caddy was guilty of unsatisfactory running of his charge PACIFIC BLUE in the above race;
(b) That he was guilty of tendering unsatisfactory explanations and also false and misleading evidence during the enquiries;
(c) That he was Guilty of negligence in the discharge of his duties as a trainer in not reporting to the authorities on his own as to the manner of riding of his charge PACIFIC BLUE by Jockey A Ramu in the above race; and
(d) That Jockey A. Ramu was guilty of not permitting his mount PACIFIC BLUE to run on its merits in the above race.

In the light of the above the Stewards decided as follows:
(a) To fine Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy a total sum of Rs.50,000/- for (i) unsatisfactory running of his charge PACIFIC BLUE in the above said race; (ii) for tendering unsatisfactory explanation, false and misleading evidence during the enquiries; (iii) negligence in the discharge of his duties as a trainer in not reporting to the authorities on his own as to the manner of riding of his charge PACIFIC BLUE by Jockey A Ramu in the above race; and
(b) further to punish him by suspending his Trainer's licence for a period of 6 months for the unsatisfactory running of his charge. However, under the circumstances of the case the enforcement of the punishment by way of suspension of Trainer's licence shall stand suspended for a period between 19-7-2013 and 31-3-2015(both days inclusive) during which period if similar breach of unsatisfactory running of his charge occurs, the Stewards shall enforce the punishment of suspension of Trainer's licence for 6 months with immediate effect at the time of occurrence of the said breach.
(c) Declare Jockey A. Ramu as a disqualified person under BTC Rules of Racing with effect from 7-8-2013 to 6-8-2014 (both days inclusive) for not permitting his mount PACIFIC BLUE to run on its merits in the above race thereby contravening Rule No. 159 (a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. at their meetings held on Sunday, 2nd June 2013 and Thursday, 18th July 2013 considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of the drug 5-Alpha-estrane-3-beta, 17-alpha-diol and nandrolone - prohibited substances in the urine sample taken from gr g YOURE STUNNING after the horse ran unplaced in the above race - the horse owned by Mr. H.S. Chandre Gowda and trained by Mr. J.S. Pillay.

They examined trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Trainer's Licence granted to Trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay from 4-8-2013 to 3-9-2013 (both days inclusive) and fine him a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules (in respect of his charge gr g YOURE STUNNING in the above race) as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading "Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control" reading as follows:

"The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care. The trainers are warned that they will be held responsible if an examination of a horse, results in the finding of any prohibited substances".

40. The Kabini Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85, 4 year old and over.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. at their meetings held on Sunday, 2nd June 2013 and on Thursday, 18th July 2013 considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of the drug 5-Alpha-estrane-3-beta, 17-alpha-diol and nandrolone - prohibited substances in the urine sample taken from gr g YOURE STUNNING after the horse accepted to run in the above race and later permitted by the Stewards to be withdrawn from the above race at the request of the trainer. They also noted that the above said race was cancelled due to rain. The horse owned by Mr. H.S. Chandre Gowda and trained by Mr. J.S. Pillay.

They examined trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay. After detailed deliberation and considering certain mitigating factors, they decided to only fine him a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules (in respect of his charge gr g YOURE STUNNING accepted to run in the above race) as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading "Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control" reading as follows:

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey P Trevor, the rider of SANTA MONICA, to the Stewards for contravention of Calendar Notification under the heading, 'Use of Whips' in that, he excessively used the whip on his mount SANTA MONICA (Third infringement) in the above Race. The Stewards held an enquiry on Tuesday, 23rd July, 2013, and examined Jockey P. Trevor.

After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey P. Trevor from 2-8-2013 to 8-8-2013 (both days inclusive) for contravention of Calendar Notification under the heading 'Use of Whips' in that, he excessively used the whip on his mount SANTA MONICA (Third infringement) in the above Race (permitted to ride work).
