1st Race: 57. The His Majesty Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (9 Runners)
At the start SHINNING BAY (M Noornabi) was slow to move losing ground.
Trainer Mr. M. Narredu was fined Rs.1,000/- for failing to produce the declared
colours at the scales in respect of his charge FLYINGANGEL (Neeraj Rawal).
Subsequently 'all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.
In a tightly packed field SUMMER TIME (D. Patel) which was pulled hard had to be checked by its rider to avoid striking the front runner FAST LADY (Y.S. Srinath); as a result it shifted out inconveniencing horses on its outside viz. VIJAY VAIBHAV (P.S. Chouhan), CLASSY GESTURES (Irvan Singh) and MILLROSE (Imran Chisty) passing the 1000 Metres.
Jockey T.S. Jodha, the rider of PRECIOUS GLITTER, was questioned regarding his ride from 600 Metres till the winning post. He stated that coming to the 500 Metres he moved to the outside to improve his position and commenced to ride the gelding along. But it started to lay inwards, he changed his whip to right hand but the gelding having its first start continued to lay in. Although his explanations were noted, he was informed to exercise a greater effort in future.
PRECIOUS GLITTER (T.S. Jodha) sustained cut injury on right hind coronet.
SHINING BAY (M. Noornabi) sustained cut injury on left hind coronet.
JINGLE BELLS (Suraj Narredu) sustained cut injury on left hind cannon and right hind cannon.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b f FAST LADY.
2nd Race: 58. The Galilee Plate Div.II - (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners)
Trainer Mr. S. Britto was fined Rs.1,000/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge KING OF HEROES (M. Mark). Subsequently 'all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.
When the gates were released CONJURER (Arshad Alam) jumped out bumping KING OF HEROES (M Mark); GREEN EMERALD (K Anil) was a little slow to move.
Jockey P. Kiran Rai, the rider of JEYEM'S PRIDE, reported that his mount was hanging out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
JEYEM'S PRIDE (P Kiran Rai) sustained cut injury on right hind fetlock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g GRAND APPLAUSE.
3rd Race: 59. The Justice P. Medapa Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. For Horses rated 40 to 65 (9 Runners)
Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was fined Rs.1,000/- for not using Blinkers on his charge STELLAR AMBITION (J.H. Christopher) for which prior permission had already been obtained. Subsequently Blinkers was put on before the horse left the paddock.
STELLAR AMBITION (J H Christopher) was slowly away.
Jockey S.K. Paswan, the rider of I SAY, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 350 Metres.
Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of STELLAR AMBITION, reported that his mount was not galloping fluently throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
STELLAR AMBITION (J.H. Christopher) sustained a bleeding cut injury on left hind fetlock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g REAL STEEL.
4th Race: 60. The V.T. Velu Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above, 4 years old and over (10 Runners)
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to withdraw PURSUIT OF FAME (Mudassar Nazar) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore due to inflammed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
At the start DIAMONITE (Anjar Alam) jumped out and ALCAZABA (S. Zervan) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced ACE BADRAAN (Yash Narredu) which was tightened.
Near the 900 Metres ALCAZABA (S Zervan) dipped.
Jockey Akshay Kumar, the rider of ICE CUTTER, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconvenienced MADAME BOVARY (P.S. Chouhan) on his outside passing the 600 Metres.
Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of NEXT MOVE, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.
ALCAZABA (S. Zervan) sustained cut injury on right hock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g INVINCIBLE PRINCE.
5th Race: 61. The Fillies Championship Stakes (Grade I) - (About) 1600 Metres. 3 year old Indian Fillies (Foaled in 2011) (15 Runners)
Trainer Mr. J. Sharavanan was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for failing to declare his charge HALIA to start for the above race after having accepted with it.
During the running of the race the riderless FORTALEZA inconvenienced GODSPEED (Suraj Narredu) and CULEBRA (P S Chouhan) shortly after the start, NURAY (Y S Srinath) checked from FORTALEZA which moved in as a result TIGER TOPS (S Zervan) checked and moved wider on the track covering extra ground.
Near 1500 Metres ALEXANDRA MILLS (Imran Chity), TIGER TOPS (S Zervan) and VENCEDORA (S John) were buffeted.
Near the 850 Metres OBELINNA PRINCESS (D Gnaneshwar) steadied from WEST SIDE STORY (Shailesh Shinde) as a result MAISHA (D K Ashish) was eased losing ground.
MAISHA (D K Ashish) shifted out over the concluding stages of the race.
At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, the Stewards held an enquiry into the start of the race and after deliberations they decided to declare FORTALEZA (Deep Shanker) as a non starter.
NURAY (Y.S. Srinath) sustained cut injury on right fore cannon.

6th Race: 62. The Madras Engineer Group Trophy (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (11 Runners)
Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was fined Rs.1,000/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge FLEET STREET (Neeral Rawal). Subsequently 'all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of ROYAL DEFENCE, reported that his mount stopped galloping after he received an interference approaching the 1200 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sharp molars on both sides. Hence Trainer Mr. S. Britto was fined Rs.3,000/- for his negligence (1st infringement).
Near the 1200 Metres, FLEET STREET (Neeraj Rawal) shied away inwards from SMOKING BELL (Suraj Narredu) causing ROYAL DEFENCE (M. Prabhakaran) and DEEPALIKA (R. Anand) to check losing ground and thereafter ROYAL DEFENCE (M. Prabhakaran) ran detached from the field.
At the 300 Metres HIS HIGHNESS (D K Ashish) and SWITCH (B Harish) brushed.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f SMOKING BELL.
7th Race: 63. The Galilee Plate Div.I - (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners)
Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was fined Rs.5,000/- for the discrepancy in shoeing in respect of his charge SHINNECOCK HILLS (S. John) (1st infringement).
DOUBLE O SEVEN (D.K. Ashish) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced CASH MY WAY (P. Kiran Rai) on its outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
RAPIDEST (P.S. Chouhan) stumbled soon after jumping out of the starting gates and lost few lengths at the start.
Reporting Jockey Akshay Kumar, the rider of PANACHECORN to the Stewards for Careless Riding, Rule No.161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing in that approaching the 950 Metres he moved in and caused SPIRITOFCHARTWELL (Yash Narredu) to check losing ground.
Jockey P. Kiran Rai, the rider of CASH MY WAY, was fined Rs.3,000/- for coming in and causing interference to RAPIDEST (P.S. Chouhan) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres.
It was observed that Jockey Akshay Kumar, the rider of PANACHECORN, accidentally brushed the running rails passing the 600 Mertres thereby his right stirrup iron broke and he could not offer sufficient assistance to his mount thereafter.
Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of KENTUCKY ROSE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course whereby he shifted out under pressure and inconvenienced SHINNECOCK HILLS (S. John) on his outside in the final 200 Metres of the race.
PANACHECORN (Akshay Kumar) sustained bleeding cut injury on right flank.
CASH MY WAY (P. Kiran Rai) sustained a cut injury on right hind cannon.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b g DOUBLE O SEVEN.
8th Race: 64. The Ich Dien Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners)
WELL DESERVED (Irvan Singh) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under starter's orders.
EXTRA SPARK (Syed Asgar) jumped awkwardly bumping CANNES (Yash Narredu).
SECRET DIMENSION (P Kiran Rai) was pulled hard in the early part of the race.
Jockey Syed Asgar, the rider of EXTRA SPARK was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing ZERMATT (T S Jodha) to be steadied resulting in SECRET DIMENSION (P Kiran Rai) clipping the heels of the latter whereby the rider got unbalanced and lost his stirrup iron passing the 200 Metres.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f MY LAKSHMI.

39. The Guindy Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey G Y Rajesh Babu, the rider of MARKUS SITTIKUS for unsatisfactory riding, [Rule No. 161 (ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing] in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on 14th June 2014 and examined Trainer Mr. V Narayana Gowda and Jockey G Y Rajesh Babu. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to (a) Note the explanations tendered by Trainer Mr. V Narayana Gowda and (b) suspend the Jockey's licence granted to Jockey G Y Rajesh Babu from 24-6-2014 to 13-7-2014 (both days inclusive) for Unsatisfactory Riding [Rule No. 161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing] on his mount MARKUS SITTIKUS in the above race (permitted to ride work).
