must not accept with it until its behaviour improved
to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day
on the race track.

Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and taking out ALL PROOF (V.R. Jagadeesh)
on his outside which in turn passed it on to MY LAW (A. Ashhad
Asbar) passing the 600 Metres.

Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to TANGANYIKA (P. Trevor)
on his inside approaching the 200 Metres.

J H Christopher was questioned regarding the apparent poor performance of TRAK
ON FIRE. The Jockey stated that after jumping out it was throwing its head up
and he had considerable difficulty to keep it on an even course till about the
600 Metres. He also added that since this horse was
running for the first time with Cross Nose Band and that must be one of the
reason the horse was throwing its head up. His explanations were noted.

for not maintaining a proper course thereby shifting out and inconveniencing

Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and
over (12 Runners)
Jockey
S.G. Prasad, the rider of AIR TIGHT, reported that he could not follow the
Trainer’s instructions as his horse did not have the initial speed. The horse
was impounded for veterinary examination and on examination the Club’s
Veterinary Offer reported after the last race at 6:15 p.m
that it had burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy –
Grade III). Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur
was informed that he must produce a fitness certificate from the Club’s
veterinary officer before accepting with it again.

D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of IGAH IGAH
IGAH, reported that he lost his whip passing the 300 Metres.
MOUNTAIN
BEAUTY(Suraj Narredu) was
impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

STRIKE THE STARS
(J H Christopher), AMISTAD (S John) and SANS FRONTIERES (Shobhan
Babu) were slowly away.
WINGS OF FORTUNE
(P. Kiran Rai) jumped
awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced the horses on its inside viz. UNGOOGLEABLE
(Imran Chisty) and MIDNIGHT
CRUZE (S. Zervan) soon after jumping out of the
starting gates.
Jockey J.H.
Christopher, the rider of STRIKE THE STARS, reported that his mount was hanging
out throughout the race. The horse was
impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy
was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it
again.
When struck on the
flank with the whip near the 100 Metres UNGOOGLEABLE
(Imran Chisty) buckled. The
horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar and Jockey S John were questioned regarding
the disappointing performance of AMISTAD. Jockey S John was instructed to have
the gelding 3rd or 4th then do his best in the straight.
He said the horse was a little slow to jump and lethargic in the early stages
of the race even though he was pushing AMISTAD along. By the 1000 Metres he had improved but was trapped wide on the track.
When he was straightened he called upon AMISTAD and whipped the gelding but he
gave nothing. This was confirmed on the CCTV replay. Mr
Kumar said he was disappointed in the horses performance as he expected it to
win. He added that AMISTAD had pulled up well and had eaten up that night. He
was informed to produce a Veterinary Certificate of fitness from the Club’s
Veterinary officer and run in a mock race before starting AMISTAD again. He was
further informed that AMISTAD will not be permitted to race for three weeks.
Jockey P Trevor
was questioned over the running of ABSOLUTE RED. He stated that at 1200 Metres he had obtained a good position travelling
behind MIDNIGHT CRUZE (S Zervan). Approaching the
1000 Metres he brushed AMISTAD (S John) on his
outside then shortly afterwards he was eased when tightened between MIDNIGHT
CRUZE and AMISTAD. He felt this was all due to the slow early pace of the race.
As a result he lost his early position. At the 700 Metres
he was about three and a half length from the leader SANS FRONTIERES. Although
he was riding his mount with the whip ABSOLUTE RED which was inclined to lay in
did not show any dash until he had a clear run near the 200 Metres.

8th Race: 72. The M. Ali Asker Memorial Trophy Div.II - (About)
1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and
over (10 Runners)
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar to withdraw THE MUSE (T.S. Jodha) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on
left fore due to inflammed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a
Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it
again.
RED BOLT (Irvan
Singh) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the
circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under starter’s
orders.
LADS GLADIATOR (P S Chouhan)
was slowly away.
WHISTLEJACKET (J H Christopher) jumped
awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced LADS GLADIATOR (P S Chouhan)
on its inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
VEYRON (P Kiran
Rai) could not get a clear run in the straight
passing 200 Metres as WIND AND FLIGHT (S G Prasad) shifted in and MAGIC WAVE (M Rajesh Kumar) shifted
out at the same time.
