RACING INCIDENTS

– 130)
1st Race:
122. The
RED DUKE (K.P.G. Appu) was slowly away.
Routine Sample was taken for
analysis from the winner b f THE SOPRANO.
2nd Race: 123. The Kolkata Cup – (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (7 Runners).
MANNAT (Imran Chisty) was slow to
muster early speed and approaching the 600 Metres Jockey Imran Chisty commenced
to take the filly out to improve his position as a result covered extra ground
making the home turn.
AASHIKAARA (A. Sandesh) was
impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for
analysis from the winner b g ACE BADRAAN.
3rd Race:
124. The
REPUBLICAN STAR (J.H.
Christopher) was slowly away and lost a few lengths at the start.
In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was informed that he
must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction
of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Near the 750 Metres TIME AND
SPACE (T.S. Jodha) which was racing keenly steadied from the heels of AZZURRO.
Jockey Zervan, the rider of
ALECIA, reported that his mount did not like the soft going as such he did not
offer much assistance to his mount thereafter. The horse was impounded for
veterinary examination and was found to have caps on left lower jaw and also
sustained gum injury.
Approaching the 500 Metres VIJAY
VAIBHAV (Imran Chisty) and TIME AND SPACE (T.S. Jodha) brushed.
VIJAY VAIBHAV (Imran Chisty) was
impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported other than
a cut injury on left hock.
It was reported after the race
that STARHUNT (Arshad Alam) burst its blood vessels.
Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed that he must produce a Fitness
Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for
analysis from the winner ch f FELICIANA.
4th
Race: 125. The Mumbai Cup
– (About) 1200 Metres. For Horses rated 40 to 65 (8
Runners)
Permission
was granted to Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah to withdraw TOPSPOT (K. Anil) on
veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to inflammed
elbow. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the
Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey
Imran Chisty, the rider of BLITZSCHNELLE, placed III by the Judge objected
against Jockey D.K. Ashish, the rider of PENTAGRAM, placed II, for “rounding
the final bend when my horse was full
in running, the rider of PENTAGRAM (D.K. Ashish) came inside cut across sharply
whereby I had to stop my mount which cost me a certain 2nd race”.
The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed
the Jockeys concerned. It was established that near the 300 Metres PENTAGRAM
ducked in sharply causing BLITZSCHNELLE to be checked. After
viewing the CCTV, considering the margin between the two horses, the Stewards
decided to overrule the objection.
Jockey
D.K. Ashish, the rider of PENTAGRAM, was fined Rs.5,000/- for coming in and
causing severe interference to EMPEROR CRUISE (S. John) and BLITZSCHNELLE (Imran
Chisty) on his inside passing the 250 Metres.
It was reported after the race
that VOLCANO ( N Ravinder Singh) burst its blood vessels.
Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed that he must produce a Fitness
Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
It was reported after the 7th
race at 5:00 p.m that PENTAGRAM (D.K.Ashish) burst its blood vessels (endoscopy
- Grade III). Trainer Mr. J.S.
Dhariwal was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the
Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
EMPEROR CRUISE (S. John) was
impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for
analysis from the winner gr f PURE ALLURE.
5th
Race:
126. The Delhi Cup – (About) 1600 Metres. For Horses rated 20 to 45, 4
year old and over (12 Runners)
SWEET N SMART (A.R. Pradeep) and SUPER
SURPRISE (Aqeed Waheed) were slowly away.
ZERMATT
(T.S. Jodha) was slowly away and lost a few lengths at the start. In view of its
behaviour Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must not accept with it
again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary
Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Routine
Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f STIMULATE.
6th Race : 127. The Chennai Cup Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (11 Runners)
The revised Penetrometer reading before this race was 5.8 Cms
SHARP WITTED (A.R. Pradeep)
jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced FLAME OF PASSION (Dashrat Singh) on
its outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider
of OUR LITTLE DRAGON, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing FLAME
OF PASSION (Dashrat Singh) on his inside passing the 600 Metres.
SHARP WITTED (A.R. Pradeep) was
impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of
ARRETE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for exulting before passing the winning post.
TAMMY TUNE (Neeraj Rawal)
sustained cut injuries on left fore pastern and right hind cannon and coronet.
Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider
of OUR LITTLE DRAGON, placed III by the Judge objected against Jockey Dashrat
Singh, the rider of FLAME OF PASSION
placed II for “bumping and unbalancing my horse from the 100 Metres which cost
me a certain 2nd race”. The
Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys
concerned. Near the 60 Metres, OUR LITTLE DRAGON shifted in bumping the hind
quarters of FLAME OF PASSION which became unbalanced and laid on OUR LITTLE
DRAGON. After deliberations, and
after viewing the CCTV replay of the race, the Stewards decided to overrule the
objection.

7th Race :
128. The Kingfisher
Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the

EXTRA
SPARK (Aqeed Waheed) jumped out awkwardly.
ZAGATO
(Kiran Rai .P) & BUZZ THE TOWER (Vivek) were slowly away.
ALERIO
(P. Trevor) knuckled soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
BUZZ
THE TOWER (Vivek) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was
informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

the start GALWAY GIRL (D. K. Ashish) jumped in bumping in bumping SUNDAY
SPOTLIGHT (A Sandesh).
