RACING INCIDENTS

 Penetrometer Reading : 3.9 Cms

 False Rails: Average width of 6.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to the winning post.

1st Race:    106. The Divine Light Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (11 Runners)

 FOURTH DIMENSION (Imran Chisty) was fractious in the stall.

 At the start MEMEK (N. Ramesh Kumar) and SUMMERTIME (D. Patel) brushed.

 AAYAN (Vinod Shinde) reared up on jumping away losing ground.

 Near the 700 Metres CANNON FIRE (Vivek) which was laying out checked from the heels of MEHEK (N. Ramesh Kumar).

 Jockey T.S. Jodha was questioned why he did not use the whip on PONTIAC in the concluding stages when challenged by other runners.  He stated that the filly was travelling well and laid out slightly.  He was informed when in a similar situation in future he will be expected to use the whip so that there is no doubt in anyones mind and that his mount can do no better.

 Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f HELPING HAND.

 2nd Race:   107. The Endorsement Plate –  (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25  (9 Runners).

 Trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for contravention of General Condition 5 of the Prospectus of Bangalore Summer Meeting 2014 for having accepted his charge FORTUNATE ONE in the above race. Subsequently it was withdrawn from the above race.

 SIMRA (V. Chandrakant) was slowly away.

 QUARTER CASK (T.S. Jodha) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 CHERRY HINTON (Md. Shoaib) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 Jockey T.S. Jodha, the rider of QUARTER CASK, reported that he could not get a clear run in the final stages of the race.

 DREAM NEO (M. Kumar) was forced to race wide from 900 Metres until making the home turn.

 BREAKING AWAY (A. Ramu) was impounded for veterinary examination and on examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have caps on both sides of lower jaw.

 It was reported after the race that the right hind shoe of FEET ON FIRE had apparently come off during the race.

 Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f BREAKING AWAY.

 Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f FEET ON FIRE.

 3rd Race:    108. The V.G. Saravanam Memorial Cup – Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. For Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (9 Runners)

 ACTIVE GREY (M. Prabhakaran) miss the jump.

 LADS GLADIATOR (Arshad Alam) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

 Near 800 Metres BALLANTOY (Irvan Singh) had to be steadied and shift out thereby inconveniencing WIND FORCE (M. Rajesh Kumar) and HILLSTONE (A. Imran Khan) on its outside as a result WIND FORCE (M. Rajesh Kumar) went wider on the track.

 Near the 350 Metres WIND FORCE (M. Rajesh Kumar) and HILLSTONE (A. Imran Khan) brushed.

 Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of MIDNIGHT CRUZE, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 It was reported after the race that WIND FORCE (M. Rajesh Kumar) pulled up lame on left fore.  Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 An enquiry was held into a report from Trainer Warren Singh that Jockey Arshad Alam had failed to ride LADS GLADIATOR to instructions. After taking evidence from Mr. Warren Singh and Jockey Arshad Alam, the Stipendiary Stewards fined Arshad Alam Rs.3,000/- in that he took LADS GLADIATOR to the outside of the field near the 1200 Metres after being slowly away whereby the horse is known to race keenly upon seeing day light after Mr. Warren Singh had specifically told Arshad Alam to remain on the fence where the horse settles.  Then come wide making the home turn and do your best.  Arshad Alam was fined a further Rs.3,000/- for excessive use of the whip on LADS GLADIATOR (2nd infringement).

 4th Race:    109. The Rajah S.R.K. Ranga Row Memorial Cup – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60  and above (9 Runners)

 Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was fined Rs.5,000/-for discrepancy in shoeing in respect of his charge SCENIC BLAST (1st infringement).

 Shortly after passing the 1000 Metres REAL STEEL (Imran Chisty) steadied from the heels of CATAMARAN (Arshad Alam).

 MR CARPE (M. Prabhakaran) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was reported to have sharp molars on both sides.  Hence Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was fined Rs.3,000/- for his negligence (1st infringement).

 Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g WIND WONDER.

 5th Race:   110. The Maharaja’s Gold Cup (Grade II) (About) 2200 Metres. 4 years old and over  (7 Runners)

 Trainer Mr. P. Shroff was fined Rs.2,000/- for making an error in the Starting Declaration in respect of his charge AMAZING GRACE (P. Trevor) as regards signature.

 JEREMIAH (S. Zervan) blundered passing 1900 Metres.

 SNOWDRIFT (Neeraj Rawal) sustained bleeding cut injury on left hind cannon.

 Compulsory Sample was taken for analysis from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed horses viz:

 6th Race:   111. The Young Rajput  Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. For Bangalore bases Horses rated 20  to 45  (11 Runners).

 GREEN EMERALD (K. Anil) reared up as the gates opened, lost many lengths at the start and ran detached. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

 Near the 850 Metres LITTLE BROWN JUG (Irvan Singh) had to be steadied to avoid clipping the heels of the front runner thereby it shifted out and bumped CADBURRY (R Anand) on its outside.

 Jockey Yash Narredu, the rider of FAIR GAME, accidentally dropped his whip near 300 Metres.

 Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f FAIR GAME.

 7th Race:    112. The V.G. Saravanam Memorial Cup – Div.I- (About) 1400 Metres. For Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (10 Runners)

 COOL APPROACH (B. Mahesh) was slowly away.

 SHAKA ZULU (S. Zervan) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 Trainer of OPEN PAGE Mr. B. Puttanna said he instructed Bhawani Singh to sit mid field. However the mare was unable to obtain her customary forward position due to the fast early pace of the race.  Apprentice Bhawani Singh eased OPEN PAGE to the outside near the 550 Metres in an attempt to improve her position and rode out a strong hands and heels to the winning post.  The performance was noted.

 8th Race:    113. The Divine Light Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible (Terms) (10 Runners)

 BOLD VISION (Arshad Alam) was slowly away.

 TRAPEZOID (Ryan Marshall) was fractious inside the stall.

 BLAZING PASSION (T.S. Jodha) ran detached from the field.  Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

 AD ASTRA (Neeraj Rawal) raced green during the race.

 ITAGAKI (Mudassar Nazar) sustained cut injury on left hind cannon.

 Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c SALTORO RIDGE.
