RACING INCIDENTS

(False Rails: Railing fixed at average width of 5.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to the winning post from its original position)

 

1st  Race:     28. The Udhagamandalam Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00  to 25 (9 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji to withdraw TICKLES (Irvan Singh) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to inflammed tendon.  He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

At the start HIDDEN DEAL (Rajesh Kumar M) jumped inwards bumping the gate losing some ground. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

 

NOBLE PRINCESS (Neeraj Rawal) ran detached from the field.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and was found to have sharp molars on both sides of jaw. Trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was fined Rs.3,000/- for his negligence (1st infringement).

 

An enquiry was held into the performance of LUC DIVINE. Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah stated that the horse has had tendon and joint problem, so he kept the horse in swimming and gave it light work. He added that this was the geldings first start in five months.

 

Jockey D. Gnaneshwar when questioned regarding the performance of LUC DIVINE stated that the gelding had travelled well but failed to respond to his riding in the straight.  On pulling up LUC DIVINE made a noise.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was reported to have sustained a cut injury on left hock and after endoscopy at 3.20 p.m., no abnormality was reported. 

 

Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of JEYEM’S SPIRIT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement)

 

LUC DIVINE sustained a cut injury on left hock.

 

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g LUC DIVINE.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g JEYEM’S SPIRIT.

 

2nd Race:     29. The Prince Khartoum Trophy  – Div.II – (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible)(12 Runners).

 

SONG OF MY HEART (A. Ramu) was slowly away.

 

MAGNIFICENT MARY (Keanen G Steyn) jumped out awkwardly.

 

From its wide barrier AMALFI COAST (Syed Asgar) was forced to cover extra ground.

 

HIGH KICK GIRL (M. Prabhakaran) was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.

 

MAGNIFICENT MARY (Keanen G Steyn) was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.

 

MULTI APP (Imran Chisty) was impounded for veterinary examination and all four shoes were removed and weighed.  The weight of all four shoes was found to be 400 grams.

3rd Race:     30. The Astounding Plate – Div.III – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20  to 45, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).

 

RENEE (Neeraj Rawal) and AAYAN (Surya P) were slowly away.

 

SPONTANEOUS (Rayan Ahmed R) stumbled and fell dislodging its rider passing the 500 Metres. On immediate examination by the Chief Veterinary Officer it was found to be lame on right hind.  Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Approaching the 300 Metres ENCHANTRESS (Nitin Singh) eased from FEET ON FIRE (Kavraj Singh).

 

AAYAN (Surya P) which was slowly away, raced wide making the home turn.

 

BIG COPPER PENNY (Prashant P. Dhebe) travelled wide throughout.

 

ICECREAM (Rajesh Kumar M) sustained bleeding cut injury on left hock.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m PACIFIC BLUE.

 

4th Race:     31. The Southern Empire Trophy – Div.II – (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible)(12 Runners).

 

DOUBLE DON (Kavraj Singh) and EVERYONE KNOWS ME (Rajesh Kumar M) were slowly away.

 

AMAZING CHARM (Imran Chisty) was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. 

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f LIGHT OF MAGIC.

 

5th Race:     32. The Astounding Plate – Div.I – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20  to 45, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).

 

SHE LOVES IT (Adarsh G) and STAR KINGDOM (D.M. Ayyar) were slowly away.

STIMULATOR (M.F. Ali Khan) was examined at the starting gates by the Chief Veterinary Officer and was found to be lame on left fore.  Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s Orders.  Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club‘s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

VISION MISSION (R Anand) ran detached from the field.  Trainer Mr. F. Sirajuddin was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

 

Near the 750 Metres SAKCHI (Imran Chisty) clipped the heels of TEMUJIN (Bhawani Singh).

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f MIRACLES OF LIFE.

 

6th Race:     33. The Karnataka State Police Cup – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40  to 65, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).

 

Jockey Yash Narredu replaced the indisposed Jockey S. Zervan on VIGOROUS.

 

DEEP BLUE STORM (Kiran Naidu) was slow to move when the gates were released.

 

LITTLE LOVE (Suraj Narredu) was endoscoped at 6.20 p.m. and was found to have suffered from EIPH Grade III.  Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g UNGOOGLEABLE.  

 

7th Race:     34. The Southern Empire Trophy – Div.I – (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible)(11 Runners).

 

Jockey S.G. Prasad replaced the indisposed Jockey S. Zervan on SALADIN.

 

SWAKSHA (Rajesh Kumar M) was slowly away.

 

ABLE FRIEND (Yash Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination and was found to have pulled up distressed. The horse was immediately treated.

 

It was reported after the race that SALADIN (S.G. Prasad) burst its blood vessels.  Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ANGEL DUST.

 

8th Race:     35. The Prince Khartoum Trophy  – Div.I – (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible)(12 Runners).

 

SOUTH LAKE (Kiran Naidu) was slowly away.

 

Near the 1000 Metres ROCKET MAN (P. Mani) ran out inconveniencing SHARPSHOOTER (Keanen G Steyn).

 

Making the 900 Metres turn ONE BIG GANG (A. Imran Khan) steadied from the heels of SOUTH LAKE (Kiran Naidu) and moved out forcing SHARPSHOOTER (Keanen G Steyn) wider on the track.

 

Near 700 Metres SHEER LUCK (Ryan Marshall) steadied to avoid the heels of PICTURE PERFECT (Deepak Singh) which shifted in.

 

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of RAMON, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.

 

BLUSH OF BLUE (A.R. Pradeep) hung out throughout the race and was inspected by the Club’s Veterinary Officer. No abnormalities were detected.

 

Jockey Vivek, the rider of WINTER BLOOM, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f COLOSSAL MOMENTS.

 

9th Race:     36. The Astounding  Plate – Div.II – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20  to 45, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).

 

SHOOT OUT (M.F. Ali Khan) and VIVA DIVA (B. Harish) were slowly away.

 

SAIRANI (Bhavani Singh) planted and lost many lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

 

ANDINA (R. Vaibhav) planted and lost many lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

 

Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of ZULFIQAR, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

 

Jockey A. Imran Khan appeared before the Stewards of the Club to answer a charge under BTC Rules of Racing 166(a) in that he as the rider of STRENGTHANDWONDER used his whip in excess (19 times in the straight and 6 times in the back stretch)  on the gelding during the race.  After being examined by the Stewards and having admitted to the charge, Jockey A. Imran Khan had his licence to ride in races suspended for four days and was fined Rs.25,000/-. Two of the four days is to be a suspended sentence should be offend under this Rule again it will be added to any penalty imposed at that time.  Jockey A. Imran Khan is suspended from riding in races on 13th and 14th June 2015 (permitted to ride work).
