Penetrometer Reading: 3.5 Cms
(Railing position: Railing fixed at average width of 8.0 Metres from 1600 Metres to 400 Metres railing fixed at its original position from 400 Metres to the winning post).
1st Race: 101. The New Market Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (whips not allowed) (10 Runners).
ABOVE AND BEYOND (Prashant P. Dhebe) jumped in bumping POWER AND STRENGTH (A. Imran Khan).
Jockey H.G. Rathod, the rider of NEW VICTOR, was reprimanded for travelling wide for the early part of the race.
Jockey D’nu Singh Deora, the rider of NOBLE PRINCESS, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c POWER AND STRENGTH.
2nd Race: 102. The Fantabulous King Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (11 Runners).
TOP STAR (H G Rathod) was slowly away.
Jockey D.K. Ashish was questioned as regards to the performance of SWISS EAGLE. He stated that the filly was sluggish at the start and was unable to find her rhythm. He also stated that he did not want to punish the filly as it was her first run. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c JIGSAW.
3rd Race: 103. The Richelieu Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners).
BLAZING FAITH (Rayan Ahmed) reared up while jumping out and lost many lengths. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
SOVIET UNION (Ashok Kumar A) brushed the gates while jumping out and bumped ATTRACTIVE BAY (Rajesh Kumar M); as a result Jockey Ashok Kumar lost his right stirrup which he regained within a few strides.
Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of PRECIOUS GLITTER, was fined Rs.5,000/- for coming in and causing severe interference to the horses on his inside viz. CASTLE KEY (Antony Raj S.) and SOVIET UNION (Ashok Kumar A) passing the 1300 Metres as a result SOVIET UNION (Ashok Kumar A) which was travelling behind had to be checked.
Jockey Rayan Ahmed R, the rider of BLAZING FAITH, reported that his saddle slipped back passing the 400 Metres. After due examination of the equipment, Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was fined Rs.3,000/- for faulty saddling.

4th Race: 104. The Bergamo Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (9 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Darius R Byramji to withdraw FORCE ENSIGN (Imran Chisty) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to inflammed elbow. Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
CARDUCCI (Nazerul Alam) reared up as the gates opened, momentarily unbalancing the rider and lost a few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Jump Out on a starting gate practice day.
MANTA RAY (Bhawani Singh) clipped the heels of APPY’S PRIDE (Aqeed Waheed) and slipped from both hinds passing 950 Metres.
Trainer Mr. G. Aravind and Jockey A.R. Pradeep were questioned over the relatively poor performance of MASKED MARVEL in the above race as compared to its previous run in Race No.56, i.e. The Baraloy Plate-(About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over, when ridden by Jockey Deep Shanker, it ran 3rd. The Trainer stated that he asked the Jockey to jump out, sit in good position and do his best in the straight. The Trainer also stated that as the horse was slowly away, the Jockey could not get position in the straight. Jockey corroborated the statement of the trainer and added that the horse was sluggish in the straight and he could not get a good position in the early stages of the race. Their explanations were noted and the trainer was informed to ensure consistent performance of his horses.
BETTER THAN EVER (Suraj Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported.
SUNDAY CRUZ (Rajesh Kumar) was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported.
CARDUCCI (Nazerul Alam) was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported.

5th Race: 105. The Colts Championship Stakes (Grade I) – (About) 1600 Metres. For 3 year old Indian Colts and Geldings(Foaled in 2012 (Terms) (14 Runners).
ARECA WONDER (A Imran Khan) took a fly jump.
Jockey A. Sandesh, the rider of SOUTHERN SURPRISE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to SURNATUREL (A.R. Pradeep) and CHINA ONE (D.K. Ashish) passing the 1500 Metres; as a result both the Jockeys had to check and fall back losing position.
Jockey Colm O’Donoghue, the rider of PHOENIX TIGER, was severely reprimanded for shifting out and causing interference to SOUTHERN SURPRISE (A. Sandesh) on his outside passing the 1400 Metres.
PHOENIX TIGER (Colm O’Donoghue) sustained cut injury on left hind tendon.

FANTASY QUEEN (P Mani) was slowly away.
Jockey Bhawani Singh, the rider of MISTER MAJESTIC, was reprimanded for taking an unduly long lead during the race.
TOP SMILES (Afsar Khan) had apparently splayed its left hind shoes while saddling and it could not be reshod as it was extremely fractious. Under the circumstances the right hind shoe was also removed and the horse was allowed to run in the race with both hinds bare.

7th Race: 107. The D.M. Shivaswamy Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (12 Runners).
BOOKER JONES (Hindu Singh) was slowly away.
Jockey Ashok Kumar A, the rider of MICKEY MOUSE, was fined Rs.5,000/- for shifting in and causing severe interference to LET THE LION ROAR (Imran Chisty) on his inside; as a result DEL SANTO (A. Sandesh) travelling directly behind also had to be checked by its rider approaching the 1200 Metres.
Jockey Rajesh Kumar M, the rider of FRENEMEE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for traveling wide from 500 Metres till passing the winning post and not exercising sufficient control under the use of whip thereby allowing his mount to shift out further in the last 200 Metres.
MICKEY MOUSE (A Ashok Kumar) and VALERIAN (P S Chouhan) were impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

8th Race: 108. The Bergamo Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (10 Runners).
ICE KINGDOM (A Ashad Asbar) ran detached from the field. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However trainer Mr. Imtiaz Khan was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
CHEERY HINTON (Rayan Ahmed R) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
