RACING INCIDENTS

(61 - 68)

Going: Good   

 

Penetrometer Reading: 4.2 Cms

 

(Railing position: Railing fixed at average width of 7.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to the winning post from its original position)

 

1st Race:     61. The  Beautiful Babe Plate  – (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (8 Runners).

 

CHEF D’OEUVRE (Neeraj Rawal) was fractious in the gate.  In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. P. Shroff was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

 

CHEF D’OEUVRE (Neeraj Rawal) and AMAZING STRIKER (Aqeed Waheed) were slowly away.

 

Near the 950 Metres BEAU SABREUR (G. Sai Vamshi) shied away from SURNATUREL (A.R. Pradeep) which moved up on his outside which caused SUPER SUCCESS (A. Imran Khan) to be checked losing ground.

 

When struck with the whip approaching the 300 Metres BEAU SABREUR (G. Sai Vamshi) shifted inwards.

 

SURNATUREL (A.R. Pradeep) and BEAU SABREUR (G. Sai Vamshi) were impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SOUTHERN SURPRISE.

 

2nd  Race:     62. The Prabalo Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20  to 45 (11 Runners).

 

SIR MAJESTIC (Manesh K) was extremely fractious, got its neck stuck in the front shutters for a considerable period of time.   Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

SHIVALIK EYES (Vinod Shinde) was slowly away losing some ground.

 

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of SEA DOVE, reported that he was hampered from SECRET PRAYER (Harish B) as it jumped out awkwardly and came on to him as a result he momentarily got unbalanced soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

 

On jumping away SECRET PRAYER (Harish B), which had been fractious in the gates reared up awkwardly dislodging Jockey B. Harish.  It was observed that the Jockey was not ready in the gates when the start was given. Subsequently a Stewards enquiry was held and was established that Jockey B. Harish (draw No.8) was not ready when the start was effected. After due enquiry the Stewards decided to declare SECRET PRAYER (Harish B) a non starter and all money invested on SECRET PRAYER were ordered to be refunded.

 

It was observed that the bridle on SUPER STRONG (Suraj Narredu) had come over its left ear soon after jumping out of the starting gates.  However, on questioning Jockey Suraj Narredu stated that it did not effect the riding of the horse in the race.

 

Near the 900 Metres WHITE SNOWDROPS (Syed Asgar) had to be checked when racing behind NOBLE SAPPHIRE (Anil Baandal) which eased from WHISPERING PINES (Kiran Naidu).

 

At the 600 Metres WHISPERING PINES (Kiran Naidu) was inconvenienced by the riderless SECRET PRAYER.

 

ASTRAL SPIRIT (T.S. Jodha) sustained a cut injury on left hock.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f WHISPERING PINES.

 

3rd  Race:     63. The Guindy Plate –(About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00  to 25, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).

 

KIMBERLEY (Bhawani Singh) and ONE TO NOTE (J. Chinoy) were slowly away.

 

It was observed that KIMBERLEY (Bhawani Singh) which was racing keenly near the 1200 Metres bumped ATTRACTIVE BAY (Ashok Kumar A).

 

KIMBERLEY (Bhawani Singh) hung out making the 900 Metres turn.

 

It was reported after the last race at 6:30 p.m that ORIENTAL KING (Naveen M) burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy – Grade III).  Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was questioned regarding the running of BLUE STAR.  The trainer stated that the horse has had multiple veterinary issues and that he lacked early pace and he was satisfied with the riding of Jockey.   He however stated that he was planning to retire the horse. His explanations were noted.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and on examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was reported that BLUE STAR (Indrajeet Singh) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MIDTOWN DELIGHT.   

 

4th Race:     64. The Sir Charles Todhunter Memorial Cup – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40  to 65, 4 years old and over  (11 Runners).

 

Near the 1000 Metres DREAM STAR (A. Imran Khan) eased from WEST SIDE STORY (Imran Chisty) as a result HENDRIX (J. Chinoy) had to be steadied.

 

Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar, the rider of RUMOUR HAS IT, reported that he was inconvenienced by HENDRIX (J. Chinoy), as a result he was taken wider on the track passing the 900 Metres.

 

Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of WEST SIDE STORY, reported that he could not get a clear run rounding the final bend.

 

Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was questioned regarding the surprised performance of SON OF STARS (M. Noornabi) He stated that (a) he was surprised himself; (b) he was in regular work; (c) he felt that the company he met was relatively week. His explanations were noted.

 

HENDRIX (J. Chinoy) and SWEET SECRET (Bhawani Singh) were impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

REMEMBRANCE OF YOU (S. Zervan) sustained gum injuries.

 

WEST SIDE STORY (Imran Chisty) sustained injury on left hind cannon.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SON OF STARS.

 

5th Race:     65. The D. Kumar Siddanna Memorial Cup – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (11 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to withdraw CHUL BUL PANDY (Girish R) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to sprained knee.  He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Approaching the 1000 Metres MULTITUDE (Yash Narredu) eased from the heels of IRON MARSHALL (S.G. Prasad) shifted out bumping EMPEROR CRUISE (B. Mahesh).

 

Near the 900 Metres MULTITUDE (Yash Narredu) hung outwards.

 

Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of EQUINE LOVE, reported that his mount was hanging ‘in’ in the straight.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.  

 

NIMFEA (P. Trevor) was impounded for veterinary examination as it had pulled up in distress after the race.

 

Jockey S.G. Prasad was reprimanded for quickly pulling up IRON MARSHALL after the winning post.

 

CAPITALIZE (B. Nayak) was impounded for veterinary examination and all four shoes were removed and weighed.  The weight of all four shoes was found to be 500 grams.

 

Trainer  Mr. V. Narayana Gowda and Jockey Harish B were questioned on the relatively poor performance of WINGS OF FORTUNE as compared to its previous run in Race NO.22 of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2015 run on 22nd May 2015 when ridden by Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar it ran 3rd. The trainer stated that WINGS OF FORTUNE was slowly away and also lethargic at the start as a result the Jockey could not position it as per his instruction which was to sit in the mid bunch.  The Jockey corroborating the statement of the trainer stated that his mount was hanging out after entering the straight.  Their explanations were noted.  However, Jockey B. Harish was cautioned to be more vigorous in riding out his mount and also as to the positioning of his mount as per the trainer’s instructions in future.

 

MULTITUDE (Yash Narredu) sustained injury on right fore cannon.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c MULTITUDE.

 

 

 

6th Race:     66. The Mauritius Pearl Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20  to 45 (10 Runners).

 

MYSTICAL SHADOW (B. Harish) was fractious in the gates.  In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

 

TIME AND SPACE (T.S. Jodha) was slowly away.

 

When gates were released IN COMMAND (Deepak Singh) put its head down losing ground.

 

TIME AND SPACE (T.S. Jodha) which was pulling hard was forced to check off the heels of ALL THAT’S NICE (S. Zervan) from the 1100 Metres till passing the 800 Metres.

 

MYSTICAL SHADOW (B. Harish) raced wide for the major part of the event.

 

Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of RUSSIAN LINK, was reprimanded for repeatedly looking back in the final 100 Metres of the race.

 

TIME AND SPACE (T.S. Jodha) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

MYSTICAL SHADOW (B. Harish) sustained gum injury.

 

SWEET ANGEL (M. Kumar) sustained a bleeding cut injury on left fore cannon.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g RUSSIAN LINK.

 

7th Race:     67. The Sir Charles Todhunter Memorial Cup – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40  to 65, 4 years old and over  (11 Runners).

 

SALTOFTHEEARTH (G. Adarsh) was slowly away.

 

At the start ARIZONA SUN (D.K. Ashish) and COOL BABY (S. Mallikarjun) brushed.

 

REAL SUPREME (T.S. Jodha) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of REAL SUPREME trained by Mr. S. Dominic and ridden by Jockey T.S. Jodha.

 

SALTOFTHEEARTH (G. Adarsh) was impounded for veterinary examination and all four shoes were removed and weighed. The weight of all four shoes was found to be 400 grams.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch m SUN GLOW.

 

8th Race:     68. The Camineto Plate – (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible)(Terms) (12 Runners).

 

DRAGON HEART (Janardhan Paswan) and TOP SMILES (H.G. Rathod) were slowly away.

 

SUDHA (R. Anand) raced ungenerously.

 

At the 500 Metres CHICAGO (P. Trevor) lost ground when tightened for galloping room when racing between THUNDERSQUALL (P. Mani) and SHINING ARMOR (Khurshad Alam).

 

Jockey D Gnaneshwar, the rider of KNIGHTHOOD was reprimanded for repeatedly looking back in the final stages of the race.

 

Jockey V R Jagadeesh, the rider of HUMMING BIRD was fined Rs.3,000/- for completely easing his mount in the final stages of the race thereby losing 2nd place and also for causing interference to CHICAGO (P Trevor) which was traveling directly behind him. He was severely cautioned to ride out his  mount hands and heels past the winning post in future.

 

Jockey R Anand, the rider of SUDHA was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing TOP SMILES (H G Rathod), THUNDERSQUALL (P Mani) and DRAGON HEART (Janardhan Paswan) after passing the winning post.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g KNIGHTHOOD.
