RACING INCIDENTS

Penetrometer Reading: 4.6 Cms

 

(Railing position: Railing fixed at average width of 5 Metres from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres, 6.5 Metres from 1000 Metres to 400 Metres and 5 Metres from 400 Metres to the winning post from its original position).

 

1st Race: 143. The S.N. Harish Memorial Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not  placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (7 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan to withdraw SALADIN (S. Zervan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore due to inflammed tendon.  He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

ADOLF (A. Imran Khan) walked out of the gates, refused to raise a fluent gallop and lost many lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two Mock Races on race days on the race track.

 

It was observed that ONE MORE TOY (D.K. Ashish) completely stopped galloping in the final 300 Metres of the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and was found to be lame on right hind.  Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b f AVANT GARDE.

 

2nd Race:       144. The Nawab M. Arshad Ali Khan Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. 3 year old horses (Foaled in 2012) (9 Runners).

 

Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of LIFE AWAITS, was fined Rs.5,000/- for shifting out and causing severe interference to the horses on his outside viz. BOLD APPEAL (A. Sandesh), AIZAAN (Kiran Naidu) and NEW CROWN (Imran Chisty) on his outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

 

Jockey Kiran Naidu, the rider of AIZAAN, reported that he lost his whip passing the 250 Metres.

 

Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of STAR OF THE TRACK, reported that his mount was lugging in throughout the race.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. It was reported after the last race at 6.20 p.m. on endoscopy it was found to have burst its blood vessels (grade III). Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

 

LIFE AWAITS (Neeraj Rawal) sustained a cut injury on right nostril.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f CONSPICUOUS.

 

3rd Race:     145. The Indian Pattern Committee Cup - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 00  to 25  (11 Runners).

 

LUCKY THIRTEEN (Rajesh Kumar M) jumped out awkwardly.

 

AMAZING STRIKER (Vishwanath A) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start.  Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

 

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of AMALFI COAST, reported that his mount was hanging out from 600 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, trainer Mr. F. Sirajuddin was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

 

Jockey Munna Alam, the rider of ANIMAL INSTINCTS, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 400 Metres.

4th Race:     146. The R.M. Puttanna Memorial Trophy – Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40  to 65, 4 years old and over  (12 Runners).

 

Jockey B. Nayak, the rider of CLICK, was severely reprimanded for not wearing his goggles during the race.

 

ROYAL REIN (M. Chettri) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced YELLOWZONE (G. Sai Vamshi).

 

COOL HAND (A. Ramu) soon after jumping out of the starting gates shifted out and inconvenienced ROYAL REIN (M. Chettri) on his outside.

 

Jockey M. Chettri, the rider of ROYAL REIN, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting out and taking out YELLOWZONE (G. Sai Vamshi) on his outside between the 600 Metres and 500 Metres.

 

Jockey M. Chettri, the rider of ROYAL REIN, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

 

OPTIMISTIC (A. Velu) ran detached from the field in the final 300 Metres of the race.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and was reported to have sustained bleeding cut injury on right hind pastern.

 

COOL HAND (A. Ramu) was impounded for veterinary examination and was reported to have sustained cut injury on left hind tendon.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SUPREME DOMINATOR.

 

5th Race:     147. The Asian Racing Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20  to 45  (12 Runners).

 

Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was questioned as regards the significant increase in the body weight as compared to its previous weight 478 Kgs. and   present weight 500 Kgs. of his charge HANDSOME SOLDIER. Trainer stated that his charge had capped elbows as such he gave minimal work and also kept it in swimming.  He also added that his charge is a good eater and tends to put on weight easily and was running it after a month gap.  While noting his explanations, the trainer was severely cautioned as to the future running of his charges. The horse was subsequently weighed the next morning by the Club’s Veterinary Officer at 10.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. and the horse weighed 487 Kgs. on both the occasions. The horse was also scoped (endoscopy) at 1.45 p.m. but no abnormality was reported.  

 

Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar and Jockey Imran Chisty were questioned regarding the relatively poor performance of his charge DANBURITE. The Jockey stated that his mount was not the same as compared to its previous run and he also added that his mount completely stopped galloping after rounding the final bend. The trainer stated that he could not attribute as to the reduction in weight of his charge to 432Kgs. as he had weighed the filly few days prior to the race and it weighed around 440 Kgs. The Chief Veterinary Officer reported that the filly was in season with follicle on the right. Their explanations were noted for future reference.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g MISTER MAJESTIC.

 

6th Race:     148. The B.T.C Anniversary Cup – (Grade II) (About) 1400 Metres.  4 years old and over (Terms)  (11 Runners).

 

Trainer Mr. P. Shroff was questioned regarding the running of ZACHARY.  Trainer stated that the horse was not looking good from the day it arrived in Bangalore in comparison with what it was in Mumbai. He felt that the horse was not relishing the stay in Bangalore and therefore he preferred to run it sparingly and also that he gave it its regular work and he found it to be working normally.  He finally stated that he would be taking away the horse and not run it any more in Bangalore.  Jockey corroborated the statement of the trainer. The explanations were noted and the horse was impounded for veterinary examination. It was reported after the last race at 6.15 p.m. on endoscopy it was found to have burst its blood vessels (grade III). Trainer Mr. P. Shroff was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

7th Race:     149. The K.N. Guruswamy Memorial Cup -(About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above  (12 Runners).

 

Jockey Munna Alam, the rider of VIVID IMPRESSION, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to FRENEMEE (M. Rajesh Kumar) on his inside as a result POWER OF TIME (T.S. Jodha) travelling directly behind had to be checked along the rails approaching the 1200 Metres.

 

Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar, the rider of FRENEMEE, reported that Ahsan Qureshi, the rider of ACE BUCEPHALUS, accidentally struck his whip as a result he lost his whip approaching the 300 Metres. No action was taken beyond noting the incident as the incident was accidental.

 

Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of PRICELESS ACE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

 

THE LIEUTENANT (Yash Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination.  It was reported after the last race at 6.20 p.m. on endoscopy it was found to have burst its blood vessels (grade III). Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f AGELESS.  

 

8th Race:     150. The R.M. Puttanna Memorial Trophy – Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40  to 65, 4 years old and over  (12 Runners).

 

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of ALL PROOF, was questioned regarding his riding in the above race.  The Jockey stated that his mount did not show early speed even after his continuous urgings from the start till rounding the final bend and started responding from about the 400 Metres where he rode out vigorously but could only finish third.

 

It was reported after the race that SOUTHERN SKY (A. Sandesh) was found to have burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Aravind G was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
