Penetrometer Reading: 3.1 Cms.

 

Railing fixed at its original position from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres, railing fixed at an average width of 3.5 Metres from 1000 Metres to 400 Metres and railing fixed at its original position from 400 Metres to the winning post.

 

1st Race:     186. The Sha Tin Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00  to 25, 5 years old and over  (10 Runners).

 

QUIET FORCE (Sunil Samson) was slowly away and lost few lengths.  Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

 

SAYYONEE (Vishwanath A) and MUSICAL TREASURE (H.G. Rathod) jumped out awkwardly from the starting gates.

 

Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of VICTORY GIRL, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing MUSICAL TREASURE (H.G. Rathod) and QUIET FORCE (Sunil Samson) which was travelling directly behind had to be steadied by its rider approaching the 800 Metres. 

 

Jockey Vishwanath A, the rider of SAYYONEE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for giving false evidence after the race as regards the start.

 

Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was questioned regarding the apparent poor performance of QUIET FORCE.  The Trainer stated that:

 

(a)        the horse has had a history of veterinary problems;

(b)        that the horse was running after a long lay off;

(c)         the horse had been working very well and he felt that it could tackle this set with ease in a 6 furlong race. 

 

His explanation was noted. However, the horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Veterinary Officer reported that the horse had burst its blood vessels during the race. Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g QUIET FORCE.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ICECREAM.   

 

2nd Race:     187. The Adrian Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 20  to 45, 4 years old and over  (7 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. S. Britto to withdraw WHAT A WONDER (T.S. Jodha) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to sprained shoulder.  He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

TANGANYIKA (Ranjeet Singh) was slowly away.

 

Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of SUMMER DAWN, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 200 Metres.

 

SUEZY OH (Rayan Ahmed R) was observed to have dropped back rapidly in the home stretch and was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. 

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SUMMER DAWN.

 

3rd Race:     188. The Commanche Trophy – Div.II -  (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not  placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (12 Runners).

 

FANTASY QUEEN (V.R. Jagadeesh) was slowly away and lost many lengths at the start. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Jump Out on a starting gate practice day.

 

Jockey Rajesh N, the rider of PURE ESTEEM, reported that his mount was not galloping fluently throughout the race.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b f TOP STAR.   

 

4th Race:     189. The Sha Tin Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00  to 25, 5 years old and over  (11 Runners).

 

Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was fined Rs. 5,000/- for his negligence in his duties as a Trainer as regards saddling of his charge CHEDDAR FACE in the above race.

 

CHEDDAR FACE (Chetan Kalay S) after jumping out, swerved towards left and dislodged its rider.  In view of its behaviour, Trainer Hidayat Khan was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 

 

I SMILE (Naveen M) took a fly jump.

 

Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of IMPULSE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out under the use of whip and bumping HONOURABLE EMPRESS (G. Sai Vamshi) on his outside approaching the 200 Metres.

 

Jockey Ahsan Qureshi, the rider of FIOROLOCO, reported that his saddle shifted back in the final 200 Metres. After due examination of the equipment Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.3,000/- for faulty saddling. Subsequently the incident in regard to the saddle having been tightened at the start was enquired; Starter Mr. Shanmukha Swamy and Handler Kareem were questioned. After due enquiry Jockey Ahsan Qureshi was fined Rs.3,000/- for giving false evidence.

 

It was reported after the race that ACE SHINEON (M. Mark) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g CONQUISTADOR.

 

5th Race:     190. The Rajah S.R.K. Ranga Row Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (8 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to withdraw ZUCCHERO (Yash Narredu) on veterinary grounds as it was found to have an inflammatory swelling on right mandible.  Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

ADVERSE (G. Sai Vamshi) planted and did not take part in the race. Trainer Mr. Kishan Thomas was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

 

Jockey Ahsan Qureshi, the rider of ACE BUCEPHALUS, was fined Rs.2,000/- for exulting before passing the winning post.

 

ETHOPHIAN (Chetan Kalay S) was impounded for veterinary examination and on examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported after the 6th race at 4.40 p.m. that it had burst its blood vessels (endoscopy Grade III). Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it  again. 

 

KINGSTON TOWN (A. Ramu) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of KINGSTON TOWN trained by Mr. F. Sirajuddin and ridden by Jockey A. Ramu.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ACE BUCEPHALUS.    

 

6th Race:     191. The Bangalore City Gold Cup (Grade III) - (About) 1200 Metres. 3 years old and over (Terms)  (8 Runners).

 

Jockey A. Sandesh the rider of IM DIFFERENT placed 3rd by the Judge objected against Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of DANCING PHOENIX, placed 2nd, for “In the last 100 Metres, the rider of the 2nd placed horse (S. Zervan) shifted out of the rails hampering the running of my horse whereby I had to stop riding which cost me a certain 2nd place”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to uphold the objection and the revised order of placings as under:

7th Race:     192. The Commanche Trophy – Div.I -  (About) 1200 Metres. Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was fined Rs.1,000/- for not producing the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge MAGNUS. Subsequently ‘All Black’ emergency colours were permitted to be used.

 

MAGNUS (M. Prabhakaran) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start.  Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Jump Out on a starting gate practice day. 

 

MARVELLOUS STRIKE (A.R. Pradeep) was slowly away, did not raise a fluent gallop and ran detached thereafter.  Trainer Mr. Aravind G was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Jump Out on a starting gate practice day. 

 

TOMMY BAHAMA (Irvan Singh) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start.  Trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Jump Out on a starting gate practice day. 

 

MARVELOUS STRIKE (A.R. Pradeep) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

It was reported after the race that ASPASIA (Rajesh Kumar M) burst its blood vessels.  Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V was informed that he must  produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ONLY PRINCESS.

 

8th Race:     193. The Set Alight Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20  to 45 (11 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to withdraw REPSOL on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to inflammed elbow. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

SHIVALIK BOY (T.S. Jodha) and DESERT GILT (A. Ahshad Asbar) were slowly away.

 

SEA FAIREY (P. Trevor) stumbled soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

 

AMAZING STRIKER (Vishwanath A) clipped the heels of DRAGON HEART (Chetan Kalay S) and stumbled rounding the final bend.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f SEA FAIREY.

 

9th Race:     194. The Capricorn Stud Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40  to 65  (11 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur to withdraw LIFE AWAITS on veterinary grounds as it was found to have burst its blood vessels during morning gate practice. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

FAIR GAME (A. Ramu) stumbled passing the 950 Metres and 500 Metres.

 

MAGICAL LIGHTS (Suraj Narredu) had to be checked by its rider to avoid clipping the heels of the front runner AKHA TEEJ (Yash Narredu) passing the 750 Metres.

 

SOVIET UNION(A. Ashok Kumar) had to be steadied by its rider approaching the 400 Metres.

 

Jockey A. Sandesh, the rider of LIGHT OF MAGIC, reported that he lost his whip in the final 100 Metres of the race.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f LIGHT OF MAGIC.
