1st Race: 73. The Cape Dance Plate – Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (8 Runners).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f SHERYL.

2nd Race: 74. The Y.S. Surender Memorial Cup Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 45 to 65 (8 Runners).

EXPERT (Rajesh Kumar M) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced DOWNTON ABBEY (S. John).

It was observed that DOWNTON ABBEY (S. John) could not get a clear run between the 300 Metres till about 200 Metres due to a packed field.

YELLOWZONE (Prasad M) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f SANS PEUR.

3rd Race: 75. The Cape Dance Plate Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (8 Runners).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f GOOD WISHES.

4th Race: 76. The His Majesty Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (10 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to withdraw GRECIAN LIGHT on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to inflamed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Baba Nayak, the rider of NINON, was fined Rs.5,000/- for the improper use of whip whereby he allowed his mount to drift out from the railing to the outer track, under the use of whip.

Jockey M. Noornabi, the rider of NYSSA, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 100 Metres.

Jockey K. Mukesh Kumar, the rider of BHARAT QUEEN, reported that his mount was lugging in under pressure in the final stages of the race.

It was reported after the race that RIVER DANCE (Suraj Narredu) burst its blood vessels (endoscopy - Grade III). Trainer Mr. M. Narredu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f RIVER DANCE.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g STAR CRACKER.

5th Race: 77. The Justice P. Medapa Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 30 to 50 (12 Runners).

Jockey T.S. Jodha, the rider of ROYAL DEFENCE, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight.

Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of DEL PORTO, reported that on jump out the bit slipped towards the left as such he could not offer sufficient assistance to his mount.

SMART N NOBLE (David Breux) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of ROYAL DEFENCE trained by Mr. S. Britto and ridden by Jockey T.S. Jodha.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c ATTORNEY GENERAL.

6th Race: 78. The Fillies Championship Stakes (Grade I) – (About) 1600 Metres (Terms) (12 Runners).

Jockey Bhawani Singh, the rider of SNOW CRYSTAL, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing CATALEYA (S. Zervan) which in turn passed it on to DANCING LEAF (T.S. Jodha) before passing the red marker post.

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

It was reported after the race that LOCHNESS (Neeraj Rawal) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Sandhu G was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

7th Race: 79. The Y.S. Surender Memorial Cup Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 45 to 65 (7 Runners).

COOL BABY (Ramesh Kumar N) took a fly jump.

DREAM STAR (M. Noornabi) was extremely fractious in the gate and was examined by the Club’s Veterinary Officer and was found to have sustained fracture of lower jaw due to fractious behaviour inside the starting stall. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s order. Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f DUBAI ONE.

8th Race: 80. The Managing Committee Gold Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 75 and above (9 Runners).

INVINCIBLE PRINCE (Ajinkya R) sustained cut injury on right gaskin.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g INVINCIBLE PRINCE.

9th Race: 81. The Fire Haven Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (12 Runners).

Jockey Kiran Rai P, the rider of AMALFI COAST, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing LOVE FOR LIFE (Vishal) on his outside passing the 800 Metres.

Jockey Kiran Rai P, the rider of AMALFI COAST, was fined Rs.3,000/- for injudicious handling of his mount.

Trainer Mr. S. Britto and Jockey T.S. Jodha were questioned with regard to the running and riding of ASTRAL SPIRIT with specific reference to the start wherein Jockey T.S. Jodha failed to take a good position in the race as soon as the start was effected till about 500 Metres.

Trainer Mr. S. Britto was fined Rs.10,000/- for failing to give specific instruction to the Jockey before the race and for unsatisfactory explanation.

Jockey T.S. Jodha was fined Rs.10,000/- for not making any effort on his mount ASTRAL SPIRIT in the early part of the race.

ADDITIONAL REPORT


1. Enquiry into the interference after the start in Race No.52 run on 4th June 2016 caused by Jockey Arshad Alam on his mount TAQDEER KA BADSHA


Jockey Arshad Alam has been suspended by the Stipendiary Stewards under BTC Rule 161(i) for Careless Riding with effect from 20-6-2016 to 3-7-2016 (both days inclusive) for shifting in after the start from draw No.7 and after travelling about 100 Metres bumped SUPER QUEEN (Prashant P Dhebe) couple of times resulting in severe interference to the inside field. Due to the above SUPER QUEEN shifted in on to ERAGON (K. Mukesh Kumar) which in turn shifted in on to WIND WONDER (Vishal) who checked his mount due to which VIVID IMPRESSION (T.S. Jodha) who was just behind had to check to avoid clipping and shifted out forcing I M DIFFERENT (A. Imran Khan) to check and travel wide.


2. Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of TADEER KA BADSHA was fined Rs.3,000/- for the improper use of whip on his mount and for not having sufficient control over his mount in the last 150 Metres.


3. Enquiry into the interference in the straight by Jockey Kiran Naidu on his mount TARINI in Race No.56 run on 5th June 2016.

Jockey Kiran Naidu has been suspended by the Stipendiary Stewards under BTC Rule 161(i) for Careless Riding with effect from 18-6-2016 to 19-6-2016 (both days inclusive) on his mount TARINI for shifting out under the use of whip at about 250 Metres and bumped ISLAND PEARL (Kiran Rai) who got unbalanced and shifted out causing interference to CAMPARI GIRL (A. Sandesh). Thereafter in the last 50 Metres again shifted out and bumped BRAVE MINSTREL (David Bruex).

                                                            ADDITIONAL REPORT

Enquiry into the riding of NATIVE RULER in Race No.39, The Holding Court Plate-Dive I (About) 1200 Metres run on 28th May 2016.

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday, 11th June 2016 considered the Charge Sheet issued to Apprentice Jockey Naveen M and the note dated 9th June 2016 of the Stipendiary Stewards. Thereafter they interviewed Apprentice Jockey Naveen M along with his Master Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar.

Apprentice Naveen M informed the Stewards that on the race day in order to reduce his weight he had used sweat box and lost 1.5 Kgs and prior to NATIVE RULER’s race he rode in the 7th Race of the day and due to above he was exhausted and feeling weak therefore could not do justice to his mount.

Not being satisfied with the explanation tendered, the Stewards decided to suspend Apprentice Naveen M with effect from 21st June 2016 to 26th June 2016 (both days inclusive) under Rule 161(ii) for Unsatisfactory Riding and was cautioned for the future.
