1st Race: 90. The Fantabulous King Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (12 Runners).

ARABIAN PROMISE (P. Sai Kumar) reared up as the gates opened and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Nityanand G was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c INTO THE SPOTLIGHT.

2nd Race: 91. The Richelieu Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (7 Runners).

LORD DARLINGTON (A. Sandesh) was extremely fractious, reared up, sat down for a considerable period of time, broke the front barrier and ran riderless for about 200 Metres. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g QUEEN’S ACE.

3rd Race: 92. The Bergamo Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (whips not allowed) (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to withdraw NEW VICTOR (K. Mukesh Kumar) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left fore due to inflammed elbow. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey P. Mani, the rider of MAJOR ATTRACTION, was fined Rs.2,000/- for hitting his mount with his hand in the final 100 Metres of the race.

It was reported after the race that TROJAN (M. Prabhakaran) was found to have Laryngeal abnormality – endoscopy (Grade III ).

4th Race: 93. The Camino Plate – (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 45 to 65 (7 Runners).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b g NAMID.

5th Race: 94. The M. Ali Asker Memorial Trophy – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 30 to 50, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).

MANTA RAY (Y.S. Srinath) took a fly jump.

Jockey Abhishek Pawar, the rider of SHIDEH, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing WHY SHOULD I (Nazerul Alam) on his outside passing the 200 Metres.

MANTA RAY (Y.S. Srinath) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

It was reported after the race that HANDSOME SOLDIER (Arman Ali Jafri) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g EXPERT.

6th Race: 95. The Colts Championship Stakes (Grade I) – (About) 1600 Metres. For 3 year old Indian Colts and Geldings (Foaled in 2013) (Terms) (11 Runners).

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

7th Race: 96. The Elusive Pimpernel Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (12 Runners).

MYSTIC ROMANCE (Arshad Alam) buckled soon after the start, dislodging its rider and ran riderless thereafter.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch h COLDSTREAM.

8th Race: 97. The Fantabulous King Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (12 Runners).

SIDE WINDER (A. Imran Khan) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced HARLEY QUINN (Kiran Rai P) at the start.

CAPE CROSS (V.R. Jagadeesh) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced CARINOSA (S. John) at the start.

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of CAPE CROSS, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sharp molars and caps on both upper and lower jaw. Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was fined Rs.3,000/- for negligence pertaining to discharge of his duties as trainer (1st infringement).

Jockey Kiran Rai P, the rider of HARLEY QUINN, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sharp molars on both upper and lower jaw. Trainer Mr. Narayana V was fined Rs.3,000/- for negligence pertaining to discharge of his duties as trainer (1st infringement).

Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of LIGHTNING STRIKES, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g AMBER CROWN.

9th Race: 98. The M. Ali Asker Memorial Trophy – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 30 to 50, 5 years old and over (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Warren Singh to withdraw OUR LITTLE DRAGON on veterinary grounds as it was found to be walking lame on left fore due to sprained shoulder. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m MILLROSE.

77. The Justice P. Medapa Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 30 to 50

Trainer Mr. S. Britto and Jockey T.S. Jodha were questioned with regard to the running and riding of ROYAL DEFENCE in the above race.


Trainer Mr. S. Britto was fined Rs.20,000/- for the unsatisfactory explanation tendered by him into the running of his charge ROYAL DEFENCE during the enquiry.


Jockey T.S. Jodha was fined Rs.20,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount ROYAL DEFENCE in the straight.


78. The Fillies Championship Stakes (Grade I) – (About) 1600 Metres (Terms)

Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi was fined Rs.10,000/- for having accepted his charge PRECIOUS ASSET to run in the above race and not declaring it to start for the same.
