RACING INCIDENTS

to the winning post from its original position)
1st Race: 56. The Everynsky Trophy – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses
3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second,
third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (8 Runners).
Jockey Kiran Naidu, the rider of TARINI shifted out and caused interference to
ISLAND PEARL (Kiran Rai P) and CAMPARI GIRL (A. Sandesh) which was travelling
directly behind also had to be checked by its rider approaching the 200 Metres
further he shifted out and bumped BRAVE MINSTREL (David Breux) in the final 100
Metres. An enquiry has been opened into the incident.
It was reported after the race that QUEEN OF BANGALORE (G. Sai Vamshi) burst its
blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must produce a
Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it
again.
Jockey David Breux, the rider of BRAVE MINSTREL placed 2nd by the Judge objected
against Jockey Kiran Naidu, the rider of TARINI placed 1st for “in the last 200
Metres to winning post the winner came and bumped twice whereby my mount drifted
out which cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately
after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberation, they
decided to overrule the objection.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f TARINI.
2nd Race: 57. The New Market Plate – (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 20
(11 Runners).
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g ANMOL HIRA.
3rd Race: 58. The Everynsky Trophy – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses
3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second,
third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (7 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr.Prasanna Kumar to withdraw SIDE WINDER (Harish
B) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame due to inflammed
capped elbow. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from
the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
SIMPLE SUM (Bhawani Singh) was slowly away and ran detached from the field. In
view of its behaviour trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that he must not
accept with it again until its behaivour improved to the satisfaction of the
Stipendiary Stewards in a Gate Practice.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SUPREME GENERAL.
4th Race: 59. The V.T. Velu Memorial Cup - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 45
to 65 (10 Runners).
JERSEY WONDER (T.S. Jodha) was extremely fractious at the starting gate whereby
the bridle snapped, ran anti clockwise and completed the course a couple of
times. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming
under Starter’s order.
Trainer Hidayat Khan was fined Rs.3,000/- for the Unsatisfactory Explanation
tendered by him during the enquiry in respect of his charge TURF TACTICS.
Jockey Amyn Merchant, the rider of TURF TACTICS, was fined Rs.3,000/- for riding
an Indifferent Race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c GABINO.
5th Race: 60. The Krishnaraja Wadiyar Cup – (About) 1600 Metres. 4 years old and
over (Terms) (11 Runners).
It was observed that the bit on MICKEY MOUSE (Rajesh Kumar M) had not been put
properly and was subsequently corrected before the horse was stalled. Hence
trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V was fined Rs,5,000/- for the negligence in
performing his duties as a trainer.
It was reported after the race that STARLET (T.S. Jodha) burst its blood
vessels. Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed that he must produce a Fitness
Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c DESERT GOD.
6th Race: 61. The Chettinad Stud Plate – Div I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses
rated 30 to 50, 5 years old and over (9 Runners).
It rained heavily before the start of this race.
Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji (deputizing for trainer Mr. Nikhil M Punna) reported
that his charge SHIDEH did not relish the underfoot condition.
Jockey Ramandeep S Bal, the rider of ARTIC ATTRACTION, was fined Rs.5,000/- for
the excessive and improper use of whip on his mount whereby his mount was
unbalanced during the final stages of the race (1st infringement).
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g FRESH START.
7th Race: 62. The Prabalo Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (9
Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sandhu G to withdraw RAVELNATION (Janardhan
Paswan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be walking lame on right fore
due to traumatic punctured injury to the hoof. He was informed that he must
produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’ s Veterinary Officer before
accepting with it again.
After the race Jockeys reported that due to the rain and kick back their
visibility was poor and the horses were not having firm footing.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f LUNAR STORM.
OWING TO INCLEMENT WEATHER AND UNDERFOOT CONDITION NOT BEING CONDUCIVE, THE
STEWARDS DECIDED TO CANCEL THE LAST RACE OF THE DAY.
