Railing position: Railing fixed at its original position.

 

1st Race:     174. The Allied Forces Plate Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 15  to 35, 4 years old and over  (9 Runners).

 

Jockey T.S. Jodha replaced the indisposed A. Imran Khan on GALWAY GIRL.

 

GOLDEN FRIEND (D. Patel) was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from fever.  Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of KING SMILE, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing GRAPES ON THE SILL (Vinod Shinde) approaching the 700 Metres.

 

Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was questioned regarding the poor performance of KING SMILE. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar informed that his horse was worked well and previously he had twice finished on board.  Therefore he had fancied the gelding. He said after the race Jockey informed him that before the start, the gelding reared up and hit his head on the upper bar of the starting gate and possibly therefore the horse may not have performed well. Jockey Suraj Narredu confirmed that his horse had reared up after stalling and hit the upper bar and again when the start was effected  the horse reared up and took the start. The explanations of both the trainer and jockey were noted. However KING SMILE (Suraj Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary examination reported that it had burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy Grade III – at 3.45 p.m.).  Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

It was reported after the race that RAMON (Prashanth T.M.) had apparently lost his left hind shoe during the race.

 

RED ADMIRAL (Rajesh Kumar M) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g  KING SMILE.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g YOURESOHANDSOME. 

 

 

 

2nd Race:     175. The Meydan Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00  to 20, 4 years old and over  (12 Runners).

 

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of FIRST STEP, has been suspended from riding in races from 4-8-2016 to 5-8-2016 for the excessive use of the whip on his mount FIRST STEP during the race (3rd infringement).

 

INTERNAL AFFAIR (Shobhan Babu) was squeezed between THALASSA (A. Ramu) and AZURE MIST (Sunil Samson) at the start.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b g FIRST STEP.   

 

3rd Race:     176. The J.B. Mallaradhya Memorial Cup –  (About) 2000 Metres. Horses rated 45 to 65 (7 Runners).

 

Jockey S. Zervan replaced the indisposed A. Imran Khan on SPIRIT AND TRUTH.

 

It was observed that GERMAN GUIDE (S. Imran) slipped from his hind approaching the 1700 Metres.

 

ICE GLOW (A. Sandesh) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of INTEGRATED, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

 

INTEGRATED (Suraj Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination and was found to have sharp molars on both upper and lower jaw. Hence trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was fined Rs.3,000/- for his negligence (1st infringement).

 

GERMAN GUIDE (S. Imran) sustained cut injury on left knee.

 

SOUTHERN FANTASY (David Breux) sustained cut injury on right hock.

 

It was reported after the race that ICE GLOW (A. Sandesh) burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy Grade II – at 3.50 p.m.).  Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

4th Race:     177. The Nanoli Stud Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 30  to 50, 5 years old and over  (10 Runners).

 

It was reported after the race that YOURE ASHWASHAKTHI (M. Prabhakaran) burst its blood vessels.  Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

It was reported after the race that FAIR GAME (A. Sandesh) burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy Grade III – at 5.15 p.m.).  Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

 

FAIR GAME (A. Sandesh) sustained cut injury on right hock.

 

Surprise Samples were taken for analysis from b m FAIR GAME.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g CONQUISTADOR.

 

5th Race:     178. The Bangalore City Sprint Championship Gold Cup (Grade III) - (About) 1200 Metres. 3 years old and over (Terms)  (10 Runners).

 

Jockey Neeraj Rawal replaced the indisposed A. Imran Khan on ETERNAL FLAME.  

 

Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of DUBAI ONE, was observed to have dropped his hands in the last 200 Metres. On questioning the trainer stated that the horse was out of handicap and the Jockey had reported to him that the horse was not galloping fluently towards the end. His explanations were noted for future reference.

 

SATELLITE (A. Sandesh) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II & III placed horses viz:

6th Race:     179. The Track Lightning Trophy - (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (10 Runners).

 

Jockey P.S. Chouhan replaced the indisposed A. Imran Khan on COUNTRY’S BLOOM. 

 

COUNTRY’S BLOOM (P.S. Chouhan) shifted in passing the 1000 Metres causing  interference to SPONGE BOB (S. Selvaraj) which in turn passed on to STAY TRUE (Ashok Kumar A) resulting in SAGA (S. John) having to check his mount severely and fall back along the rails. (An enquiry is being held into the same).

 

It was reported after the race that STAY TRUE (Ashok Kumar A) pulled up lame approaching the 600 Metres.  On immediate veterinary examination, it was found to have fractured its right tibia. Hence it was euthanized.

7th Race:     180. The Allied Forces Plate Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 15  to 35, 4 years old and over  (11 Runners).

 

Jockey S. Selvaraj replaced the indisposed Anjar Alam on MR BIG SHOT. 

 

Jockey P.S. Chouhan replaced the indisposed A. Imran Khan on INDIAN BRAHMOS. 

 

MR BIG SHOT (Anjar Alam) jumped out awkwardly and inconvenienced RARE AND FAMOUS (Prashant P. Dhebe). 

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ONLY PRINCESS.

 

8th Race:     181. The Nanoli Stud Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 30  to 50, 5 years old and over  (10 Runners).

WREKIN (Rajesh Kumar M) was slowly away and lost a few lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

 

HELLO BOSS (Kiran Rai P) ran detached from the field. On immediate examination by the Veterinary Officer it was found to have pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

TIME AND SPACE (Surya P) had to steady his mount to avoid striking the front runner HECTOR (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) approaching the 1000 Metres.

 

It was reported after the race that PRECIOUS GLITTER (T.S. Jodha) burst its blood vessels.  Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
