RACING INCIDENTS

Penetrometer Reading: 3.2 Cms.

Railing position: Railing fixed at average width of 8 Metres from 1600 Metres to the winning post from its original position. 

1st Race:     189. The Sha Tin Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00  to 20,  4 years old and over  (9 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr.Sharat Kumar to withdraw NEW VICTOR on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from acute capped elbow and was trotting lame on right fore. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla to withdraw WINTER BLOOM on veterinary grounds as it was trotting lame on right fore due to sprained splint. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. V.Lokanath to withdraw DRACARYS (Surya P) from the above race as the declared jockey could not draw the declared weight on the scales. Jockey P. Surya was fined Rs.3,000/- for his negligence.

THUNDERSQUALL (A.Imran Khan) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced VEDA (Nazerul Alam) at the start.

Jockey Nazerul Alam, the rider of VEDA, was fined Rs, 1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to THUNDERSQUALL (A.Imran Khan) approaching the 1100 Metres.

Jockey A.Ramu, the rider of BREAKING AWAY, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to PURE ESTEEM ( Manesh.K) which in turn passed it on to THUNDERSQUALL(A.Imran Khan) rounding the final bend.

Trainer Mr. F.Sirajuddin and Jockey A.Imran Khan were questioned regarding the running and riding of THUNDERSQUALL. The Trainer stated that he felt the horse was working well with the blinkers. Therefore blinkers were used and jockey Imran Khan was instructed to keep the horse in forward position.  He said that in the race this horse jumped out awkwardly  and thereafter traveling about 50 Meters received an interference due to which he dropped back and was very keen, therefore unable to settle.  When questioned jockey A. Imran Khan confirmed the same and informed that he had received interference in the early part of the race and thereafter horse was keen and raced fiercely, possibly because the horse was running first time with the blinkers. Near 500 Metres he received interference again 

and managed to finish 3rd inspite of his best efforts. The explanation of the trainer and jockey were noted. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it had burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy grade-III -3.45 pm). Trainer Mr. F.Sirajuddin was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g THUNDERSQUALL.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g HOT STAR.

2nd  Race:     190. The Set Alight Plate  - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 15  to 35  (10 Runners).

SOUTHERN COMMAND (Ganesh N) lost its right hind shoe during the race.

Jockey Rajesh Kumar M, the rider of SAFFRON INTENSE, reported that his mount was hanging in.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination.  On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer, no abnormality was reported.
 
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f CADILLAC SKY.

3rd Race:     191. The Lt.Col. Gaunt Memorial Cup – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 30 to 50  (8 Runners).

PRIVATE PARADISE (T.S.Jodha) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced NATANZA (Y.S.Srinath) at the start.

SIDE WINDER (Prashant P. Dhebe) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced FLAME’S FURY (Raghu K) at the start.

Jockey A.Imran Khan, the rider of TERMSANDCONDITIONS, had to check his mount to avoid clipping the front runner NATANZA (Y.S.Srinath) and PRIVATE PARADISE (T.S.Jodha) which was traveling directly behind also had to be checked by its rider approaching 1000 Metres.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SIDE WINDER.
      
4th Race:     192. The  K.N. Chennabasappa Memorial Cup Div I  - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 45 to  65 (12 Runners).
             
NATIVE ELEMENTS (Kiran Naidu) accidentally stumbled passing the 800 Metres. 

ARECA WONDER (Y.S.Srinath) sustained cut injury on right gaskin.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SEVEN OF HEARTS. 



5th Race:     193. The Karnataka Mile Championship Cup (Grade II)- (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 4 years old and over  (Terms)(9 Runners).

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II, III placed horses viz.

6th Race:     194. The  K.N. Chennabasappa Memorial Cup Div II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 45 to  65 (12 Runners).

MILLROSE (S. John) jumped out awkwardly inconveniencing WINGS OF FORTUNE (Rajesh Kumar M) at the start.  

TRAPEZOID (A.R.Pradeep) stumbled dislodging its rider approaching 1000 Metres and the horse ran riderless thereafter.

It was reported after the race that TARINI (Kiran Naidu) pulled up lame on right hind. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.   

It was reported after the race that BACK IN A FLASH (A. Sandesh) burst its blood vessels.  Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

TARINI (Kiran Naidu) sustained deep cut injury on right hock. 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g GOOD FORTUNE.

7th Race:   195. The  Treasure Girl Plate (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 15 to  35, 5 years old and over (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr.Sharat Kumar to withdraw PERFECT KING on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

EMANCIPATION (P.S.Chouhan) jumped awkwardly outwards inconveniencing the horses on his outside viz. ICEPICK WILLIE (Kiran Naidu) NAGARJUNA (Nazerul Alam) and TREE LOUNGE (S. John) at the start, TREE LOUNGE (S. John) was affected badly.

It was observed that GOODWILL WARRIOR (Surya P) lost his left stirrup at the start as such he had to remove his right stirrup approaching 800 Metres and passing the 200 Metres the rider lost balance and was dislodged and the horse ran riderless thereafter.

Jockey P.S.Chouhan, the rider of EMANCIPATION, reported that he could not get a clear run between 350 Metres till about 300 Metres.

Jockey Kiran Rai P, the rider of RED ADMIRAL, reported that his mount was hanging in throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g TUSCANO.

8th Race:  196. The Lively Emprey Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (Terms) (12 Runners).

Jockey G.Adarsh replaced the indisposed rider A.R.Pradeep on LAMREI.

SUPER SMART (Kiran Naidu) lost its left fore shoe during the race. 

LIKEAKNIFE (Rajesh Kumar M) planted and lost many lengths at the start and ran detached thereafter. In view of its behaviour, trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda. V was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.

RULE OF THE WORLD (V.R.Jagadeesh), after jumping out did not raise a fluent gallop and ran detached from the field. In view of its behaviour, trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

Jockey T.S.Jodha, the rider KANTHAKA, reported that he lost his right stirrup at the start, which he regained within a few strides.

Jockey A. Sandesh, the rider of TAMARA, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing PERFECTO (Y.S.Srinath) rounding the final bend.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f CAMPARI GIRL. 


Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda. V to deputise on behalf of trainer Mr.S.Inayathulla who was unable to attend the races.

ADDITIONAL REPORT


The Stewards at their meeting held on 5th August 2016 considered the Charge Sheet dated 28th July 2016 to trainer Mr. S. Narredu by the Stipendiary Stewards for negligence and improper practice (Rule 114(b)(i) and 202(i)), whereby he had issued a cheque dated 10th July 2016 in favour of BTC to clear the ban of his owner in order to run his horse on 10th July 2016 and thereafter had instructed the Bank to stop payment. After due enquiry by the Stewards, the trainer accepted the charge and apologized to the Stewards. 

The Stewards after due deliberations, decided to consider the apology tendered by the trainer and view the matter leniently and thereafter decided to fine trainer Mr. S. Narredu a sum of Rs.50,000/- for violation of   (Rule 114(b)(i) and 202(i)) of BTC Rules of Racing.
