1st Race:  137. The Hyderabad Cup - (About) 1400 meters. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible)(9 Runners).

It was reported after the race that FREEDOM FIRE (A.M. Tograllu) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

ANIMAL KING (Y. S. Srinath) sustained deep injury on left hind coronet.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g DR LOGAN.

2nd Race:  138. The Mumbai Cup - Div. I - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 30 to 50 (10 Runners).

SHINING MAGIC (Afsar Khan) reared up as the gates opened and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

Jockey D'nuSingh Deora, the rider of MINIVER ROSE was fined Rs.5,000/-for coming in and causing interference to IRON MAN (A. Ramu) approaching 1000 Meters and for further shifting in and causing interference to SOUTHERN CROWN (K. Mukesh Kumar) on his inside, which had to be checked by its rider along the rails passing the 950 Meters.

Jockey Rayan Ahmed R., the rider of TAMARA reported that his mount was hanging 'in' after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

It was reported after the race that AMAZING WONDER (Ranjeet Singh) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Vijay Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g CHINA ONE.

3rd Race:   139. The Kolkata Cup - (About) 1800 meters. Horses rated 60 and above  (9 Runners).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g FABULOUS.

 

 

4th Race:  140. The Delhi Cup - (About) 1600 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 4 years old and over (15 Runners).

TURF TACTICS (Amyn Merchant) after jumping out did not raise a fluent gallop, thereby lost few lengths. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

LAMREI (A. Ramu) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. G.Sandhu was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

It was reported after the race that ROMANTIC HAVEN (D'nuSingh Deora) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

PRIZE FINDER (Rayan Ahmed R.) sustained superficial injury on left hind fetlock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g PRIZE FINDER.

5th Race:  141. The Chennai Cup - (About) 1200 meters. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (13 Runners).

MAJURO (A.M.Tograllu) dropped the rider and bolted on the way to the starting gates. On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to be exhausted. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order.

HOT N FIRE (S. John) was extremely fractious and refused to stay inside the starting gates. On examination, by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have sustained contusion on back. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

PINK SMILE (Naveen M.) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

STAR GLOW (N. Rawal) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

DONNA ROSSA (Neeraj Rawal) sustained superficial injury on left hind fetlock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c PREVALENT FORCE.

 

 

6th Race:  142. The Kingfisher Ultra Derby Bangalore(Grade I) - (About) 2000 meters. 3-year-old Indian Horses (Foaled in 2014) (14 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Bharath Singh was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for not declaring his charge SANA to start after having accepted with it to run in the above race.

It was reported after the race that MANIFOLD (Neeraj Rawal) had apparently lost its right hind shoe during the race.

SHAMAN (C. Alford) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Compulsory samples were taken for analysis from the following I,II & III placed horses viz:

7th Race:   143. The Mysore Cup - (About) 1400 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35 (12 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla to withdraw PINYADA (P.S. Chouhan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left hind limb. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

ANTIQUARIAN (A. Ashhad Asbar) was extremely fractious and got stuck inside the starting gates. On examination, by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have sustained contusion on back. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Rutherford Alford was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

OSLO COURT (Bhawani Singh) was extremely fractious and got stuck inside the starting gates. On examination, by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have sustained contusion on back. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Altmash Ahmed was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

SPOT LIGHT (Akshay Kumar) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.

SUDHA (A.R.Pradeep) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.

Jockey D'nuSingh Deora, the rider of BROOKLYN SUPREME was reprimanded for shifting 'out' and inconveniencing ASTRILD (Y. S. Srinath) on his outside in the last 100 Meters of the race.

It was reported after the race that REFORMER (Irvan Singh) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. M. Rajendra Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c DON DELA VEGA.

8th Race: 144. The Mumbai Cup - Div. II - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 30 to 50 (10 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Samar Singh to withdraw ROMANTIC HELEN (Rayan Ahmed. R) on veterinary grounds as it was found to have nasal bone injury and unilateral epistaxis (left). He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

Jockey S. John, the rider of PANCHOVILLA was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing SANVI (P. S. Chouhan), which in turn passed it onto DAY FLOWER (R.Ajinkya) on his inside, as such the latter had to be checked and fall back passing the 1000 Meters.

It was observed that TIMES TIME (V.R.Jagadeesh) did not get a clear run between the 200 Meters and 150 Meters of the race.

BETTER THAN EVER (Bhawani Singh) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

25. The Astounding Plate - Div. I - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 4 years old and over 

 

An enquiry was held on 17th July, 2017 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race in respect of Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar pertaining to his riding on his mount LOVEISINTHEAIR in that he failed to infuse adequate vigor in riding out his mount in the straight.

Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards, after considering the submissions made by Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar and Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda.V, after viewing the CCTV replay of the race decided to charge Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar for Unsatisfactory Riding and Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda. V. for contravention of Rule No. 114 (b) (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing.

The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar with effect from 27th July 2017 upto 4th August, 2017 (both days inclusive) for Unsatisfactory Riding Rule No. 161 (ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount LOVEISINTHEAIR (he is permitted to ride work and was informed of his right to appeal). Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda. V was fined Rs.10,000/- for contravention of Rule No. 114 (b) (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing he was informed of his right to appeal.
