Going: Good
Penetrometer Reading: 4.2 Cms
False Rails: Railing fixed at average width of 9 Meters from 1600 Meters to winning post from its original position.
1st Race: 115. The Tudor Jet Plate - Div. II - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
ZAFRINA (Nazerul Alam) was extremely fractious inside the starting gates, reared up and got stuck for considerable period of time. On immediate examination, the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sustained contusion on both elbows. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
HIGH VOLTAGE(Adarsh. G) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.
It was observed that HIGH VOLTAGE (Adarsh G.) had to check and steady his mount to avoid striking the front runner approaching 900 Meters.
Jockey S.A. Amit, the rider of PARADISO was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing MISTRESS OF SPICE (Prashant P.Dhebe) on his outside, as such the latter could not take the forward position as instructed by his trainer.
Jockey R. Anand, the rider of KANTHAKA was fined Rs.2,000/- for not sufficiently persevering with his mount in the last 200 Meters of the race.
Jockey Rayan Ahmed R., the rider of CELTIC MIST reported that while using the whip it accidentally hit the railing, as such he lost his whip passing the 100 Meters.
KANTHAKA (R. Anand) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Surprise sample was taken for analysis from b g KANTHAKA.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b f PARADISO.
2nd Race: 116. The Royal Tern Plate - (About) 1100 meters. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible). (11 Runners).
AS TIME GOES BY (Prashant P.Dhebe) jumped awkwardly inwards, thereby inconveniencing horses on its inside viz; MULTIPLE (A. Sandesh), PURITY (Vinod Shinde) and SMITH AND WESSON (MD. Azharuddin) at the start.
It was observed that LADY MAJESTIC (Adarsh G.) was inclined to run out between the 800 Meters till about 600 Meters. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
ALLSETTOGO (S.K. Paswan) sustained superficial injury on left hind fetlock.
JUMIRAH (Amyn Merchant) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sustained superficial injury on right hind cannon and right fore cannon and also burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy Grade - IV). Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MULTIPLE.
3rd Race: 117. The H. B. Gundappa Gowda Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 meters. Horses rated 45 to 65 (13 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Prithviraj B. to withdraw PEARL CITY (Suraj Narredu) on veterinary grounds as it was found to have an inflammation on left fore fetlock. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
RACING FIRE (P. Trevor) accidentally stumbled passing the 900 Meters.
Jockey Darshan R.N, the rider of TOPAZ was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to EL FENIX (Y. S. Srinath) on his outside, which in turn passed it onto FRENEMEE (Sunil Samson), as such EL FENIX (Y. S. Srinath) had to be checked by its rider and steadied rounding the final bend.
It was observed that RACING FIRE (P. Trevor) did not get a clear run due to crowding of the field passing the 250 Meters.
Trainer Mr. G. Sandhu and Jockey Y.S. Srinath were questioned regarding running and riding of EL FENIX. The Trainer stated as follows:
a) The horse does not have initial speed, therefore I instructed the jockey to take a good jump and settle him as the horse always comes from behind and do his best in the straight;
b) Immediately after the race when I questioned Jockey Y.S. Srinath as to what happened in the race, he stated that he received bad interference near 500 Meters, whereby he lost 3 to 4 lengths. He also stated that if he had not received interference he would have easily won the race.
c) Jockey confirmed that he had received bad interference at about 500 Meters and lost considerable ground.
After watching the CCTV replay of the race in different angles it was ascertained that Jockey Y.S. Srinath had received bad interference as a result he lost considerable ground near 500 Meters.
The explanation tendered by both Trainer and Jockey were noted.
RACING FIRE (P. Trevor) sustained superficial injury on left hind outer bulb and right hind coronet.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g RAVELNATION.
4th Race: 118. The Squanderer Trophy - (About) 1400 meters. Horses rated 60 and above (11 Runners).
AYRTON (S. John) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.
Jockey Rayan Ahmed R., the rider of SPEED HAWK was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to RAFA (P. Trevor) on his inside passing the 1000 Meters.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of TOPSPOT was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing ACE BADRAAN (Nazerul Alam) on his inside, which in turn passed it onto INTEGRATED (Y. S. Srinath) which brushed the railings approaching 900 Meters.
It was reported after the race that TOPSPOT (Suraj Narredu) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
INTEGRATED (Y. S. Srinath) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sustained deep injury on left fore outer bulb and also lost its left fore shoe during the race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch h BARACCHUS.
5th Race: 119. The Tudor Jet Plate - Div. I - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
SHIVALIK'S RULE (Syed Imran) reared up and flipped over inside the stall, thereby injuring the rider. On immediate examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have sustained contusion on back and head. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
BLAZING FAITH (P. Trevor) planted, lost many lengths at the start and ran detached thereafter. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.
Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of HAPPY HOURS weighed 'in' 500 grams in excess in relation to weighing 'out'. When enquired he informed that the surcingle had been changed by the trainer. Hence, Trainer Mr. Nityanand G. was fined Rs.2,000/- for not informing the change of equipment.
CELESTIAL STORM (Chethan Gowda) sustained superficial injury on right hind pastern.
MAN OF LAW (K. Raja Rao) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g REGAL MUSIC.
6th Race: 120. The Bold Gesture Plate - (About) 1600 meters. Horses rated 30 to 50, 4 years old and over (14 Runners).
ALAINA (S. John) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.
AMAZING DESIRE (Rayan Ahmed R.) accidentally brushed the railings passing the 1000 Meters.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of CAMPARI GIRL reported that his mount was not galloping in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club's Veterinary Officer, he reported that it was found to have sustained superficial injury on right hind cannon and also burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy Grade – IV). Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of SATINETTE reported that he could not get a clear run between the 400 Meters and 300 Meters due to a tightly packed field.
Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe, the rider of PROUDPRINCE reported that he lost his right stirrup, which he regained within a few strides passing the 300 Meters.
It was reported after the race that INTER FLORA (V.R.Jagadeesh) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mrs. Parvati Byramji was informed that she must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
An enquiry was held into the relatively improved performance of LOCHINVAR (Y.S. Srinath), trained by Bharath Singh in the above race as compared to its previous run in Race No.74 i.e.,The Royal Challenge Plate, about 1600 Meters, Horses rated 30 to 50, 4 years old and over run on 17th June 2017. After repeatedly viewing the CCTV replay of the races in question and considering the submissions made by the trainer. Mr. Bharath Singh was fined Rs.10,000/- for the relatively inconsistent performance of LOCHINVAR as compared to its previous run.

7th Race: 121. The Noble Princess Plate - (About) 1400 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35(10 Runners).
RAW GOLD (Suraj Narredu) was extremely fractious in the paddock, reared up and dropped the rider, whereby the rider was injured. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn.
Jockey Bhawani Singh, the rider of TURF LEGEND was fined Rs. 1,000/- for allowing his mount to shift out, thereby taking out SILKEN STRIKER (V.R. Jagadeesh) on his outside passing the 800 Meters.
Jockey Raghu. K, the rider of DON’T TRUST ANYONE was reprimanded for not being alert at the start.
Jockey Adarsh. G, the rider of GREY HOUND had to steady his mount to avoid striking the front runners passing the 700 Meters.
