False Rails: Railing fixed at average width of 9 Meters from 1600 Meters to winning post from its original position.

 

1st Race:  122. The Endorsement Plate - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 00 to 20 (9 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad to withdraw COUNTRY'S PEARL (Nazerul Alam) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from laminitis on both fore legs .He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V. to withdraw ARABIAN PROMISE (R. Anand) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey A.R. Pradeep, the rider of KIRAATHAKA had to steady his mount to avoid striking the front runners passing the 1000 Meters.

Jockey Chethan Gowda, the rider of ZIP CODE had to steady his mount to avoid striking the front runners passing the 800 Meters.

Jockey V.R.Jagadeesh, the rider of ALL BY MYSELF reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Jockey S.A. Amit, the rider of LOVE FOR LIFE reported that his saddle shifted back after entering in the straight. After due examination of the equipment, Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was fined Rs.3,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge.

KHALEESI (Adarsh G.) stopped galloping in the final 300 Meters and Jockey dismounted from his horse, as such did not complete the course. On immediate examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have pulled up lame on right hind. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey S.A. Amit, the rider of LOVE FOR LIFE reported that he accidently lost his whip passing the 150 Meters.

Jockey Mohd Asif Khan, the rider of FEET ON FIRE was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

LOVE FOR LIFE (S.A. Amit) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sustained superficial injury on left hind fetlock and right fore cannon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ROCK STEADY.

2nd Race:  123. The Divine Light Plate - (About) 1200 meters. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible) (11 Runners).

Jockey Neeraj Rawal replaced the indisposed Suraj Narredu on ST PAULI GIRL.

COLD FRONTIER (P. Trevor) jumped awkwardly inwards, thereby inconveniencing MYSTIFY ME (R. Manjunath) on its inside at the start.

Jockey A. Sandesh, the rider of ARIA was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

ALIGHTING (Amyn Merchant) sustained superficial injury on right hind coronet and fetlock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c COLD FRONTIER.

3rd Race:   124. The N. M. Lingaraju Memorial Trophy - (About) 1400 meters. Horses rated 30 to 50 (13 Runners).

Jockey A. Sandesh replaced the indisposed Suraj Narredu on DONT DILLY DALLY.

It was observed that JUNEAU (G. Naresh Kumar) had to be checked by its rider and shift out to avoid striking the railings, thereby inconveniencing the horses on its outside viz; CZAR RULE (Prashant P. Dhebe) and ERDEMIR (A.Ramu) passing the 1000 Meters.

Jockey A.Ramu, the rider of ERDEMIR was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.

DONT DILLY DALLY (A. Sandesh) sustained superficial injury on right hind tendon.

RUM RUNNER (S. John) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

ERDEMIR (A.Ramu) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c MAGICAL DANCER.

4th Race:  125. The Maharaja's Gold Cup(Grade II) - (About) 2200 meters. 4 years old and over (10 Runners).

Jockey A. Imran Khan replaced the indisposed Suraj Narredu on WHOMAKESTHERULES.

HALL OF FAMER (A. Sandesh) jumped awkwardly inwards, thereby inconveniencing WHOMAKESTHERULES (A. Imran Khan) on its inside at the start.

It was observed that MATHAIYUS (Neeraj Rawal) did not get a clear run in the last 300 Meters, due to crowding of the field.

SUPREME GENERAL (Akshay Kumar) sustained superficial injury on both hind fetlock.

Compulsory samples were taken for analysis from the following I,II & III placed horses viz:

5th Race:  126. The Marilingaiah Memorial Cup - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 45 to 65 (11 Runners).

PRIVATE PARADISE (A.Ashhad Asbar) was extremely fractious, reared up and got stuck inside the gates and was found to have sustained superficial injury on fore head and contusion on back. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Imtiaz Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

QUEEN CREDIBLE (S.A. Amit) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Rehanullah Khan was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

TOP STRIKER (Prashant P.Dhebe) jumped out awkwardly at the start.

Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of DUKE OF CLARENCE was reprimanded for shifting 'in' and inconveniencing BULGERIAN (Ranjeet Singh) on his inside passing the 800 Meters.

Jockey Darshan R.N, the rider of CHEERLEADER reported that his mount was hanging 'out' after entering the straight, whereby he shifted out and inconvenienced QUEEN CREDIBLE (S.A. Amit) on his outside passing the 200 Meters.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of ZAFRAN reported that he accidently lost his whip passing the 350 Meters.

Jockey S. John, the rider of ANTANANARIVO was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing BULGERIAN (Ranjeet Singh) on his outside passing the 250 Meters.

LORD DARLINGTON (A. Sandesh) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

CHEERLEADER (Darshan R.N) sustained superficial injury on left fore inner bulb.

TARINI (Neeraj Rawal) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner gr f ANTANANARIVO.

 

6th Race:  127. The Epsom Plate - (About) 1400 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (14 Runners).

Jockey Neeraj Rawal replaced the indisposed Jockey Suraj Narredu on ARZIKI.

ABLE MASTER (R. Ajinkya) which was travelling fiercely along the rails had to be steadied to avoid striking the front runners between the 1000 Meters and 900 Meters.

Jockey Rayan Ahmed R., the rider of WILD WILD ANGELS was fined Rs.2,000/- for loss of whip passing the 200 Meters (1st infringement).

Jockey Harish. B, the rider of CHERIE AMOUR was fined Rs.3,000/- for not sufficiently persevering with his mount after rounding the final bend.

KAROD PATI (M. Prabhakaran) sustained superficial injury on left knee.

It was reported after the race that ARTORIUS (Bhawani Singh) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Surprise sample was taken for analysis from ch g ARTORIUS.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m WILD WILD ANGELS.

7th Race:   128. The Young Rajput Plate - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35 (10 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu to withdraw ROYAL SERENITY (Rayan Ahmed R.) on veterinary grounds as it was found to have sustained injury on right fore bulb. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

BLACK LIGHTNING (S.K. Paswan) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's order.

AMAZING LOVE (Antony Raj S.) jumped out awkwardly, thereby losing few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

ADMIRAL HATSU (R Manjunath) after jumping out did not raise a fluent gallop and ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Sandhu. G was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future and that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.

It was reported after the race that ALEEF (Bhawani Singh) had apparently lost its left fore shoe during the race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f MAYBE FOREVER.

224. The Ardent Knight Trophy - Div. II - (About) 1200 meters. Maiden Horses 3 years old only.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. at their meeting held on Saturday 8th July, 2017 considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of the drug OXYPHENYLBUTAZONE (Class IV) - prohibited substance in the urine sample taken from b g KVASIR after it won in Race No.224 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2016-17 i.e. The Ardent Knight Trophy Div - II (About) 1200 metres, Maiden Horses 3 years old only, run on Saturday 11th March 2017. The Horse trained by Mr. G. Sandhu and owned by M/s. Rajan Aggarwal and Gautam Aggarwal.

 

The Stewards of the Club examined trainer Mr. G. Sandhu. After deliberations, they decided to fine him a sum of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules in respect of his charge b g KVASIR as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading “Medication  and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control” reading as follows:

 

“The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care.  The trainers are warned that they will be held responsible if an examination of a horse, results in the finding of any prohibited substances”.
