RACING INCIDENTS

Going: Good

Penetrometer Reading:  4.5 cms.

False Rails: Railing fixed at average width of 2.5 Meters from 1600 Meters to winning post from its original position.

1st Race: 117. The Mysore Cup - (About) 1100 metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (Horses who have run at least thrice but not placed second, third or fourth even once ineligible). (12 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Darius R. Byramji was fined Rs.5,000/- for discrepancy in shoeing in respect of his charge SHARP RESPONSE.

ONLY HOPE (A.Ramu) after jumping out swerved towards the left, went onto the sand track and raced on the sand track thereafter.  In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Prithviraj B. was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.

It was observed that COUNTRY'S STAR (Kiran Naidu) was inclined to run out between the 800 Metres till about 600 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination, it was found to have sustained bleeding injury on right hind cannon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g TRIGGAR.

2nd Race: 118. The Admiral Henry John Rous Cup - (About) 2000 metres. Horses rated 30 to 50 (8 Runners).

Trainer Mr.Prasanna Kumar was fined Rs.5,000/- for discrepancy in shoeing in respect of his charge AURIC FORCE.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of MOST WELCOME  had to steady his mount approaching 1500 Metres.

Jockey T. S. Jodha, the rider of NITROMAX reported that his mount was lugging out in the final 300 Metres. Trainer Mr. Neil B Devaney was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of MOST WELCOME reported that he accidently lost his whip approaching 200 Meters.

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of MASADA, placed 3rd by the judge objected against Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of VELOCIDAD placed 1st for “In the last 250 Meters the winner shifted 'in' sharply and bumped me whereby horse stopped galloping which cost me a certain second place".  The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.

Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of VELOCIDAD  was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting ‘in’ and causing interference to MASADA (Arshad Alam) on his inside passing the 250 Metres.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g VELOCIDAD.

3rd Race: 119. The Nawab M.Arshad Ali Khan Memorial Cup - (About) 1400 metres. 3-year-old horses (foaled in 2015). (4 Runners).

Jockey A. Sandesh, the rider of SALVADOR DALI reported that he accidently lost his whip approaching 200 Meters.

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of CORFE CASTLE, trained by L. D' Silva and ridden by P. Trevor in the above race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g DESPERADO.

4th Race: 120. The D.Kumar Siddanna Memorial Cup - (About) 1600 metres. Horses rated 45 to 65 (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Neil Darashah to withdraw MULHOLLAND (Arshad Alam) on compassionate grounds (as the part owner Mr. Hemant Dharnidharka’s sister had passed away).

Jockey S. Zervan replaced the indisposed Jockey P.S. Chouhan on RARE RHYTHM.

ATHENA (A. Sandesh) was slowly away and lost many lengths at the start.In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr.S.S. Attaollahi was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least two Mock Races.

I'VE GOT CLOUT (Koushik) accidentaly brushed the running rails approaching 1100 Metres.

It was observed that TORSORO (Ahsan Qureshi) lost its hind footing passing the 900 Metres.

Jockey Nazerul Alam, the rider of SPORTING PLEASURE reported that he accidently lost his right rein passing the 350 Metres which regained within a few strides.

It was observed that SPORTING PLEASURE (Nazerul Alam) could not get a clear run between the 300 Metres till about 250 Metres.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f ISN'T SHE LOVELY.

5th Race: 121. The K.N.Guruswamy Memorial Trophy - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 75 and above (11 Runners).

Jockey A. Sandesh replaced the indisposed Jockey P.S. Chouhan on JUSTICE ANGEL.

PENTAGRAM (Arshad Alam) planted, lost many lengths at the start and ran detached after entering the straight. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr.R. V. Manohar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one  Mock Race.

 

PENTAGRAM (Arshad Alam) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination, it was found to have burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr.R. V. Manohar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Koushik, the rider of PEARL CITY was fined Rs.5,000/- for the negligence in weighing out without the stirrups. Subsequenlty, the stirrups were put on and the Jockey was weighed out again before the horse left the paddock.

Trainer Mr. Prithviraj.B was fined Rs.10,000/- for the negligence in saddling his horse PEARL CITY in that the trainer saddled the horse without the stirrups and was also sent towards the gates. However, this was observed before the horse left the paddock and thereafter, the saddle was re-weighed and re-saddled again before the horse left the paddock.

6th Race: 122. The Mumbai Cup - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 45 to 65, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).

Trainer Mr.Samar Singh was fined Rs.5,000/- for discrepancy in shoeing in respect of his charge UNGOOGLEABLE.

Trainer Mr.Samar Singh was fined Rs.5,000/- for discrepancy in shoeing in respect of his charge ROYAL REIN.

IRIS (S. Zervan) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr.Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.

Jockey A.Imran Khan, the rider of TURF MAGIC was reprimanded for shifting 'in' and inconveniencing UNGOOGLEABLE (Y. S. Srinath) on his inside approaching 1000 Metres.

Jockey A.Imran Khan, the rider of TURF MAGIC had to steady his mount and shift out to avoid striking the front runner REGAL MUSIC (Darshan R.N) approaching 200 Metres.

It was reported after the race that UNGOOGLEABLE (Y. S. Srinath) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr.Samar Singh was informed that he must produce  a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

MAJESTIC STYLE (Vinod Shinde) sustained clipped injury on right hind cannon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f IRIS.

7th Race: 123. The Delhi Cup - (About) 1400 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (12 Runners).

Jockey Arshad Alam replaced the indisposed Jockey P.S. Chouhan on HIGH ADMIRAL.

 

 

Jockey A.Imran Khan, the rider of ORENDA was reprimanded for looking back during the final stages of the race.

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of FIRING LINE, trained by Samar Singh and ridden by K. Raja Rao in the above race.

Jockey S. John, the rider of MEA CULPA, placed 2nd by the judge objected against Jockey A.Imran Khan, the rider of ORENDA placed 1st for “In the last 250 Meters the winner shifted in and tightened me I had to stopped riding whereby I had switch her out which cost me a certain race".  The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.

Jockey A.Imran Khan, the rider of ORENDA was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming ‘in’ and tightening MEA CULPA (S. John) on his inside passing the 250 Metres.

Jockey Harish.B, the rider of SPIRIT BRUCE was fined Rs.2,000/- for not wearing his goggles during the race.

EYE SIGN (Mohd. Feroz) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

PRIME STAR (Nazerul Alam) sustained bleeding injury on right hind pastern.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f ORENDA.

8th Race: 124. The Indian Pattern Committee Trophy - (About) 1600 metres. Horses rated 00 to 20 (11 Runners).

REGAL REALM (A. Imran Khan) reared up and flipped over at the starting gates. On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer, it was found to be lame on left hind. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Aravind.G was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

An enquiry is being held into the relatively inconsistent performance of  INTERNAL AFFAIR as compared to its previous run in Race No. 108 i.e., The Amazing Grace Plate (about) 1400 Metres, Horses rated 00 to 20 run on 7th July, 2018 where it ran unplaced, trained by Narayana Gowda V.

Jockey V. R. Jagadeesh, the rider of ULTIMATE POWER placed 4th by the judge objected against Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu, the rider of AMAZING ANGEL placed 2nd for “In the last 300 Meters , the rider of AMAZING ANGEL  took me out and in the last 200 Metres he bumped me twice and cut across me in the last 50 Metres where my horse stopped galloping whereby I lost a certain 2nd place”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to upheld the objection and revise the order of placings as under:

It was reported after the race that STRING OF PEARLS (M. Shahid) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
