Jockey A.S.Peter (QUEEN ISABELLA) was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming 'in' and causing interference to ZEDCLASS on his inside along the rails passing the 950 Metres.

An enquiry was held on 3rd June, 2019 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race in respect of Jockey A.S.Peter pertaining to his riding on his mount QUEEN ISABELLA, “In that he did not exhibit sufficient vigour in riding out his mount with the aid of the whip when his mount was full of running in the final 200 Metres.”

Jockey A.S. Peter was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards, after considering the submissions made by Jockey A.S. Peter and trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad and after viewing the CCTV replay of the race decided to charge Jockey A.S. Peter for Incompetent Riding, Rule No. 161 (ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing.

The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended Jockey A.S. Peter with effect from 15th June, 2019 & 16th June, 2019 (both days inclusive) for Incompetent Riding Rule No. 161 (ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount QUEEN ISABELLA (he is permitted to ride work and was informed of his right to appeal).

ARROGANCE (Suraj Narredu) stumbled soon after jumping out of the starting gates and the horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Jockey Mudassar Nazar (PURITY) was reprimanded for travelling wide from 500 Metres till passing the winning post for no apparent reason and the horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

COUNTRY'S STAR (Ravi R.) was withdrawn on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left fore. Trainer was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate.

Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was questioned regarding the running of his charge APOLLO BAY (P. Trevor) in the above race.

The trainer stated that:

(a) He had given a jump out and quite a few canters on the inner sand track;

(b) He felt that the horse had a strong chance as it was facing a mediocre company and much to his surprise the horse ran a very deplorable race;

(c) The trainer’s log book/work books were inspected and were found to be in order. His explanations were noted for future reference and he was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
